AAPL and GOOG are often compared to each other, even though they have completely different business models. While AAPL makes fancy consumer products, GOOG is primarily active in the big data realm. Nevertheless, they are both fundamentally strong companies in the high-tech sector with near identical EPS ($40 for AAPL vs $36 for GOOG). Yet, both companies are trading at wildly different prices ($540 for AAPL vs $1200 for GOOG).
If we run these companies through Value Spreadsheet it assigns both companies an intrinsic value of around $1000. This implies that AAPL is currently 85% undervalued, while GOOG is 20% overvalued at its current price. If I had to make a choice today between these two tech behemoths, I know where I'd put my money...
