Market Cap BTC Dominance, %Updated Bitcoin Dominance Bottom - Altcoin Winter Approaches
Data from our Crypto SmartWatch Portfolio Balancing Spreadsheet, The Altcoin Opportunity Index is in the low red zone, suggesting Altcoin Winter is near.
In today's update we saw the following
- a bearish shift as we see
- 5 coins hit the 4 hour EMA Exit to drop to 1/2 position size
- 3 coins hit the 12 hour EMA full exit signal
The Alt Entry Index will rise as we go into a bear market for alts, but the Entry Index alone is not enough, we will need the Opportunity Index high at the same time for a really bullish setup.

As an update, Jan 19th, we have 7 more coins moving from Full Hold to Partial Hold status, and 7 Partial Hold coins going to full exit as Bitcoin Dominance breaks over 40%At the same time, we have 2 NEW HOLD status coins that are showing strength while the general market softens.
The Altcoin Opportunity Index is at 6.10

As Bitcoin Dominance continues rising the Crypto SmartWatch continues to post several coins each day passing our Partial EXIT and our FULL EXIT signals.The Altcoin Opportunity Index is 3.03 today because there are only two coins in ALERT status
The Altcoin Entry Index is over 74 today because we are now holding fewer than 20% of ALT/BTC pairs traded Binance.
As Dominance rises, we can expect to see the Opportunity Index remain low while the Entry Index continues to climb.
This is the time to review the best performing coins through each bull wave in 2021 and create a shortlist of the Best Opportunities to catch once Bitcoin Dominance finds a top.
