I don't think I have much to explain. If you want to be on the right side then do the opposite of them.
As you can see, they always make the same mistake. When Bitcoin was under $4000, they all thought it would go down even more.
After Bitcoin went up, people actually thought the ALTS would follow as well.
But now something happened that you would never have thought possible before. In the last 3 months, the majority of the crypto community became Bitcoin maximalists.
People who were altcoins holders before, think that altcoins will die.

Anyway, now you're wondering what's going to happen to people who still own and invest in altcoins?
Well, people who still invest in ALTS, invest only in the TOP10 right now. For many, they stand for more security. Especially XRP and Ethereum are getting a huge hype currently.
And I think that on the long run these altcoins will give the least profits due to a very high market cap.
This means that these people will realize that sh*tcoins are going up even more, so they will lose all their profits again due to FOMO.
Which coins do I currently hold?
The only altcoin I have from the TOP10 is currently Bitcoin Cash. Why? Because Roger Ver has enough money to push this back up again and everyone else is talking bad about it. How some of you know, this is a buy reason for me. Do the opposite of others. I wouldn't even be surprised if Bitcoin Cash is getting worth more than a Bitcoin for just some hours. You never know.
The rest of my crypto portfolio are outside the TOP10 and I have shared many of them with you in my last ideas (For example: Verge, Siacoin, Steem, OmiseGo (...) and I can promise you:
I am still holding those ALTS and they continue to be a good buy right now.

A little update after a few months:My view of altcoins remains. All the altcoins I shared with you on the ideas and a few more. As already said, the updates will come back when we reach the targets.
The upcoming halving will not change the idea. Because of the virus, there are many new people who have discovered the crypto market for themselves and there are still enough people who will continue to rediscover the market.
New people means that speculation regarding the altcoins will continue in the future.
