I think we can all agree that 2017 was the biggest year for Bitcoin to date, not just because of the price surge, but all the drama that came with it.
2017 was also the year that alternative coins made their mark - and as of right now, are being mentioned more than bitcoin basically everywhere.
Which brings me to what I think might happen this year.
Before I start my attempt to be a Nostradamus, I'll say that even I don't believe what my btc prediction will be, but I'm forcing myself to go against my TA, logical reasoning, etc.,
ok - begin:
As I write this, we are knocking on the door of a total crypto market cap of 800b. Alts are surging, and if you go to coin market cap, you will see just how many of them are at just insane prices for what they really are. It's an interesting phenomenon, because 95% of it all is manipulation and hype. The people making real bank are the savy 'dev teams' and those on the in. Don't be fooled, polo, binance, etc., are also making stupid amounts of money. Before you can even mention insider trading, OTC deals with new coins, they are bringing in millions every day in fees alone.
I can't help but feel one - or all of them will be seized at some point. They are getting too big for comfort. The regulators will come in and get them like they got BTC-E. Yes I know, they have KYC now. I just don't think that's going to be enough. If that doesn't happen, it will be something else. There might not even be a reason. Life is unfair and the bullies seem to get there way when they aren't winning for once. It doesn't matter, a large majority of these alts are going to zero, and when it does happen, it will happen overnight.
I think it's coming sooner rather than later. Too many bulls, too much news, too much greed...
Ironically, i hope there is one last alt moon season like we had in March last year. haha
Bitcoin
Bitcoin is the king. Anyone who is smart knows this, so cbf to explain that no coin will replace it here.
Where is my prediction? 70k+ in 5 months. Yep I know, I don't believe it.
21m coins. 7.5 billion humans. Remember that.
