Capitulation is defined as surrendering or ceasing to resist. In the market, it means when investors give up any previous gains in any security or market by selling their positions during periods of decline. Historically speaking, it is also the very best moment to enter the market.
For as long as we have been able to use the 200 weekly weighted and simple moving average, the range within has worked as a range where capitulation has happened.
2015-2016 lasted 42 weeks
2019 lasted 20 weeks
2020 lasted 6 weeks
Everyone is expecting the 30K level to hold, if it doesn't, we will see capitulation.
