Comparison of confirmed cases in Greece (pink) and United Kingdom (orange).
Greece was one of the first European countries to issue school closures (Mar 5), a mandatory 2-week quarantine for ALL international arrivals (Mar 10) and then total lockdown upon criminal penalty for violation (Mar 23). Compare this with the UK, which only closed schools with the nationwide lockdown of Mar 23.
Yesterday the Greek lockdown was extended to Apr 27. On the same day UK government advisers already started talking publicly about relaxing lockdown regulations.
