Anticipation

The break to lower prices in the daily chart of the S&P 500 is an example of the stock market reacting to what I refer to as the anticipation of a recession which has not occurred this means the market is responding to the possibility of a recession not the reality of being in a recession. It can be difficult for market to maintain directional movement based on anticipation characteristics.
