Mobile ad rev's grew 56% over 2016. - Instagram - one of Facebook's company's opened its ad platform to worldwide advertisers, this is a huge cash cow for Facebook. - Strong balance sheet and generates decent cash flow which makes it such an attractive equity for investors worldwide. Free cash flow amounted to nearly 5.4b in 4Q17. - Facebook continues to penetrate the emerging markets and LECD's with projects such as the Free Basics Initiative which involves partnerships with local telecom companies to subsidise some basic internet services (including Facebook!). This is mainly present in Africa, the continent of 1.2 billion has only 120 million who use Facebook. This shows the huge scope for growth in the region despite the time it'll take.
