The drop is exaggerated. However, Barrick gold uses toxic chemicals. Its controversy score is 4. The average is 2.7. There are better options out there that are more efficient and less destructive. No reason to plunder the earth and destroy the environment just because you think you can make an extra buck, it is just not necessary, so why?
