What is MRNA? Moderna (NASDAQ: MRNA), is an American biotech company focused on drug discovery and drug development based exclusively on messenger RNA (mRNA). Moderna is attempting to insert synthetic mRNA into the living cells of patients that would reprogram their cells to create their own therapies and vaccines, rather than being created externally and injected as with conventional medicines. It is a novel technique abandoned by several large pharmaceutical and biotech companies which were unable to overcome the dangerous side-effects of getting RNA into cells. As of May 2020, no mRNA drug has been approved for human use.
Latest News Moderna has already released some phase 1 data for its COVID-19 vaccine mRNA-1273. Moderna started a phase 2 study for the vaccine earlier this month and plans to launch a phase 3 study in July.
My Thoughts for You Is it possible for a proper ABC correction or was our A wave the final correction for wave 5? I wonder given the news if this stock will just keep climbing to new record highs. Those who are going long here will need to trail a stop loss obviously in the case of more upward price action. The reason I am thinking this is, if MRNA successfully produces this vaccine, then I can't see this stock going down much but can imagine seeing higher highs.
