Do rising yields result in a stock market correction?

Updated
I've heard people say rising yields are bad for the stock market.

So I took a look myself and it looks like there's no predictive power of rising yields on the future direction of the stock market.

Obviously this is just a simple analysis so don't take it as gospel.
Note
Almost at the end of the year and once again, high yields at the start of 2017 have not led to a lower SP500.

Always verify claims like this for yourself!
