Tesla Short Trade

Tesla gap down upon negative earnings.

There looks to be more room for a push down, and it looks better to sell before considering buying. I think the buying will come around, but it will be lower closer to the red line.

There's also i think in the back of tesla investors, questions about the future of Elon Musk's future role with the company. After the loss of the 50 billion dollar paycheck from Tesla, he may be looking to spend his time with his other companies. Obviously this is speculatory, but I think it's something very serious to consider that Elon may in fact be leaving Tesla. He stated on podcasts that it's an incredible amount of work manufacturing an automobile ("10,000 things have to go perfectly right") and he basically didn't get paid which was a huge blow for him. There is not really a new model coming out, and the cybertruck isn't really new. Tesla is not like other car manufacturers where they are putting new models out all the time or major updates to the design. To me, it looks like he's not really invested in it anymore.

What he is doing with Space X is very remarkable and I think maybe he could have someone take over Tesla, and he focus more on Twitter X and Space X. Maybe it's for the best because Tesla seems to have taken a back seat. If you haven't seen the Netflix Doc called Return to Space, I recommend it. It gives some insight to how very crazy the risks are that Elon Musk takes, and he has been lucky so far. He is an all in guy, a maverick, and I can dig it. He is more focused on his passions that the money in the end. He's a true gambler- in it to make the shot.
