USDJPY trend forecast MAY 30 , 2025
💬The Japanese Yen (JPY) extended its rebound on Friday, surging for a second straight session after recovering sharply from a two-week low against the US Dollar. A fresh wave of risk aversion hit markets following a US federal appeals court’s decision to temporarily reinstate President Trump’s broad tariffs, rattling investor confidence.
Adding fuel to the Yen’s strength, upbeat Japanese economic data reinforced expectations that the Bank of Japan may keep tightening policy. Meanwhile, ahead of the critical US PCE inflation data, traders cautiously repositioned, lending some resilience to the US Dollar and limiting further downside in USD/JPY.
