💬The Japanese Yen (JPY) extended its slide during the Asian session, pressured by fading demand for safe-haven assets after a US federal court struck down President Donald Trump’s “Liberation Day” tariffs. Adding to the Yen’s weakness are growing concerns over Japan’s mounting debt burden. Meanwhile, robust US Dollar (USD) demand fueled by market optimism propelled USD/JPY to a fresh two-week high on Thursday, reinforcing the pair’s bullish momentum.
