It has been broadly put forward that the oils sqweeze is the number 1 suspect to explain the inflationary enviroment we've been through.
After all, oil is the blood of encomy, oil is teh opex of economy.
On this sequel of inflation hedgers that I've been briefly analyzing, oil was obvious asset missing.
It perform fantastically in the 1970s also. During "The Great Inflation".
This chart is very rich.
