XAU / USD trend forecast MAY 30, 2025
⚠️Gold prices rebounded sharply from the $3,245 weekly low, surging past $3,300 on Thursday as weak U.S. labor data and a court ruling against Trump’s tariff plans fueled a wave of risk repricing. XAU/USD climbed to $3,318, marking a solid 0.94% gain.
A spike in jobless claims surpassed both forecasts and last week’s numbers, signaling mounting pressure on the labor market. Coupled with confirmation that the U.S. economy contracted in Q1 2025, expectations for Fed rate cuts intensified. The resulting slide in the U.S. Dollar gave gold a strong tailwind, reigniting investor demand for the safe-haven asset.
⚠️ Gold price had a good recovery yesterday, when unemployment data increased, DXY decreased. It is still mainly in the sideway price zone around 3300.
