im in a short at -16% ( shorting the bottom at .29. emotional in the moment, wanted to cover, kraken(Fitting, for the sea metaphor) went down.. and when it was back up i was at -15%. Times Five. big position. Silly. Kraken is another chart..
but
as tempting as it is to take a loss here
something tells me to keep it. I'm going to listen to that feeling and see what it has to say while looking at the chart.
Ripple!
either it goes insane up to 40, 50 cents...
but no the market cap that would require at 40 billion ripples . twenty billion? fifteen?
thats half of ahold-delhaize maybe. fuck.
17 billion for haliburton. 17 billion: fox corp. Societe generale - a big bank, at 18 billion.
Ripple? Unilever Indonesia. 18.6
as it's getting delisted from the major exchanges
i don't believe it
and that market cap.. as if those companies could produce that money without disappearing
(The nature of money)
It's owed to the shareholders, who all decide not to collect (until they try to, and panic sell)
like all money, as soon as the debt behind it is cleared, it vanishes. so too with stocks.
they pay or they don't pay, but if they're all made to pay out at once it disappears.
let's try some corporate tax. get in between the owning class and their money, because that's where you tax that. Don't tax their posession. tax income. but count it all.
regardless.
i feel like holding this short, because i just feel like i'll regret covering it. i'm down nearly half my stack. it feels like going all in.
I'm going to be right
but
i might be underestimating mythology.
a ripple can cause a wave
but my thinking says: the wave is already passed, and all we have left is a ripple. Ripples die out. a drop in a bucket, and the rest is alllll bucket.
This was a scam and they're just trying to milk it.
thats why the exchange went dark something fishy is on here. I think i hooked a big fish, and it's struggling, trying to jump out of the water, but it won't grow wings
The Technicalities
on a weekly chart
we failed ot break the last high and made a new low in the process. We're going to test the new low. That's just how it works. even on the shorter timescales.
i have three buyorders. .25 , .20 and .11. That's where i'm covering.
So, where would my liquidation price be? i have to know the risk i'm taking.
"I bet it will stay (long?=above or short?=below (liquidation price) on it's way to (target price)
currently the price is hanging around the introduction price.
this signals to me: should ripple continue to be a thing?
WIth my short, i vote: No. It should not be a thing.
Vote with your wallet. Get rid of ripple. It goes against everything this community once stood for
before the goal became lambo's and trophy wives.
This culture got colonized by the wallstreet bros.
---
we know perfectly well what it feels like to live under colonial rule you're doing it right now
we, the consumer, have been colonised by companies. We are being exploited for our consumption. our wants and needs are being turned against us. bound by invislbe strings, hanging from an ivnisble ceiling , invisibly restrained
workers of the world, recognize your predicament. we have nothing to lose but our chains. this is the matrix
the appearance of freedom, hidden forever behind a grid and lines.
to get 'fuck you' money. To live free from worry. Nobody can do anything to you. Untouchable. that is fuck you money
and you don't need more than a couple million to get pretty close to that.
Until you have that, long after you've stopped working for a living
when nobody makes a profit off of your take but you
(after taxes)
death and taxes
two things the rich are trying to get rid of. To live 'truly free' not a worry - or a consequence - in the world.
and it's a death cult precisely in it's resistance to change
and because of that resistance to change
nooone is going to let ripple be worth more than haliburton
ripple..
the wave is past. this is the ripple.
the 20 is too far from the 50 and the 100, too much too soon. Ripple isn't worth
fib sie: we touched the 0.236 genesis fib and got violently rejected, making a new lower low. (which is where i shorted)
i'm willing to believe that we'll go there again, retest that low, if there's time for that. If ripple isn't getting delisted.
We bounced from the new low and found resistance at the 0.618
and i should move to the daily from here..
found support at an important historic level: 21 cents. that's the consolidation level at launch.
We're basically back to the initial consolidation level!
Conclusion: Decision time.
Deciding if ripple is worth anything at all. Long term. If you want to have your money in Ripple, with the banks
Or in crypto. Which ripple isn't. Which banks aren't, and won't be.
and i think the answer, in the end, of who do you trust: banks or cryptography
it's going to be with the latter. With the code. Ripple just doesn't have much to offer beyond an old-paradigm marketing campaign and some big bank clients. Who cares? ripple is all about keeping banks in the crypto game
the price of ripple is a referendum on what crypto is supposed to be. We're making up our minds.
my vote is in: No, ripple is not a thing that will survive the transition. it's the past dressed up to look like the future, and owned by and operated in service of the the same people.
we are in sideways consollidation isndie a channel, tryign to form a cup and handle bottom so we can go up to retest.. the trendline? the daily 50 @ 46 cents? that's the dream. But even if we do, that means first touching the last high at 38 cents, which will be the 200MA on the 4hour. No way we touch that without a retest of some kind of supoprt. Back around current levels at least. I'll take that bet.
Unless we don't even make it that far up. We never get back above teh 0.236 at 0.34339 and retest the lows. 17 cents, 20 cents, and below that: 10. WIshful thinking maybe but zero is possible. Delisting is on the agenda.
the price of ripple is a poll on what we think it's truly worth .at what price we'll keep it in our pockets when the exchanges take it off. What is it *really* worth to us then? and i think, the answer will be sub 10 cents a piece, slowly rippling out into nothing. The stillness of a pond
