BRICS Chooses XRP and XLM for New Cross-Border Payments System

In a recent announcement, the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) has confirmed that the XRP and XLM cryptocurrencies will be the cryptocurrencies of choice to power its new cross-border payments system. The move underscores BRICS' focus on creating an efficient, decentralized alternative to current legacy systems such as Swift.

XRP and XLM, both known for their speed and ability to process large volumes of transactions efficiently, have been recognized for their potential in the new financial architecture BRICS is developing. Although their prices have not shown significant increases in recent months, this strategic adoption could be a key factor for their long-term growth.

On the technical side XRPUSD has been moving since July in a bearish channel with a high of $0.9267 and a low of $0.2950. Its support zones are $0.3766 and $0.1446 at the moment the RSI is near the mid-zone at 49.49% and the bell control point is located at $0.4598. It would not be unusual for the token to try to test the $0.6546 area. If the BRICS definitely put activities in motion with this token it is possible that it will increase in value back to the previously indicated highs.

This announcement marks an important milestone in the advancement of cryptocurrencies within the global economy, strengthening their role in facilitating international payments.
