i just scalped for a 16% ish percent gain on my position. The sad part is im still short about 5% to really 8 percent from my original position when i missed a small scalp/re-buy opportunity then missed another re-buy as the pump went... and went... and omg just kept going.
Rite b4 all this excitement, I was looking for a small 3% to 5 percent scalp. "There she goes" I thought, as I watched a small dip start. Yes, it was a win but a small win, like 2-3%. Yes it was a small dip BUT I knew that not much was to be expected in the near future here. Like maybe another percent or 2 buts thats it expected inbound.
we where skipping off an established bottom esp at that time and i missed the skip or small dip and BOOMMMMM She doubled up AND Some, in a 2 phase pump.
The simple truth is I got greedy instead of just missing the first 15 percent of the pump, I stayed stubborn and for like 36 hours I watched and she pumped.
Long story short is I abandoned me safer, confident trade strategy on this asset and platform, ( I swap ZKS on the ZKS layer two Decentralized Exchange or L2-DEX ) Like Optimisim,io or OP is for UNIswap or UNI. The whole advantage of paying the fees, as you navigate the crypto woods, burning preciouses "gas" or Ethereum/ ETH/ just to get to this Layer 2 DEX, is the super cheep swaps I can do once my crypto lands here. Like .50 cents for a swap.
Its Fast Easy and cheep. Only downside is limited assets with liquidity at this point to trade. Ie you can swap ETH WBTC USDT USDC and ZKS AND No limit orders ie set an order to, "automate your trade" once the token hits a set pre chosen price. Soooo i was :on the sticks", watching zks dip and decided to wait and not re buy, I was in profit on my scalp but wanted another percent point maybe 2, went to sleep and then she of course enevitably ran hard.
I woke up to a almost 30 percent pump and got excited. I had been waiting weeks for this one and then it hit me. I was completly still in stable coins/USDT, i had no ZKS. I watched her run a bit more and then pull back a bit. BUTtttt this time she didnt fall the same as recent past smaller 30 ish percent pumps. this was different. The volume was crazy for one and huge orders kept coming in on one or two of the few centralized exchanges to offer trades for ZKS. I could have re bought on the small pull back rite after that first pump but noooo and she went another 70 percent and completed the full double up and some room to spare for trade fees and spread difference ( the difference between the spot or real price and what you buy the token for /this is what drives markets up or down. its the people buying the asset. this is why volume is so important. many people buying means exponential higher chances for pump or dump possibilities.)
For me I was reminded when trading dont mess around with anything that seems to consistently work. That and (esp in crypto) dont be sckeeeerd to take dem profits. Look we all dream of Lambos and rainbows but a 30% gain is a 30% gain. most traditional markets would kill for a 30 percent win on the year let alone one trade.... think about that. do some math and witness what Einstein called one of the wonders of the world, compound interest. If you have 1k in your trading account in USDT. you take a position and get an average of 25% gains ten times that year. Even if you have to cut and run and a few of those just have a stop loss chosen at 7 to 10 percent and there's your edge. so not counting any bad trades, how much is your 1k now that you hit for 25% 10 times? hmmm, dwhmmmmm.
That and dont spread to thin. By this I mean dont take to many ALT positions esp on multiple platforms. You need to move quickly in this wild west market so having your crypto spread out in 4 or 5 places can be a death sentence when that market turns.
as to the future... New and Old projects alike that can be relevant There are a few areas that really matter in crypto right now but where do we see long term real world utility, real use for these new alien systems. (good places to look for new projects/if they are significant players in any of the following categories) 1/On and Off Chain Points. Less KYC the better. Where and how you get your $ into and out of the crypto world. How do you buy and how do you cash out. How safe? How expensive? Best place to do this/where? 2/Cross Chain Movement of Assets and soon Information. This is where the majority of HACKS or Exploits occur in crypto. Each block chain is like its own new type of internet. they can be very good at what they where designed to do, what they are good or efficient at but the real trick is connecting the dots. Letting each new internet act like webpages. Projects that help figure out How do you get to one from another and move your data and crypto safely will be incredibly relevant going forward. (SEE COSMOS ATOM Token) 3/"Respect The Pump" I watched DOGE early early and saw her go in the very beginning and just keep going and going and going and well you get the idea it was record smashing what happened here and I knew about it from almost the very beginning and just sat on my thumbs and watched.. literal millionaires made in days and on a meme coin with Absolut no use/no utility as we say smilez. I sat there yelling at my computer, "it has no utility" and stubborn stuff like this. and the truth hit me, this is all speculation, this is all a gamble so if you see the rare elusive creature of trading, of momentum, and your lucky enough to see this building hype early, dont question the why of it just buy and hold on tight....
