Surviving Drawdown: The Battle Between You and the MarketThe Battle Between You and the Market
Every trader, no matter how seasoned, eventually encounters the nemesis of every strategy: drawdown. It’s that dreaded phase where the market isn’t quite ready to move in the direction of your bias, and your account balance starts to bleed. The key to surviving drawdown isn’t just about protecting your capital—it’s about protecting your mind. The mental toll of seeing your carefully plotted trades go red can lead to fatigue, impulsivity, and, in some cases, abandonment of your well-thought-out plan.
But here’s the reality: drawdowns are part of the game. The market doesn’t move on your schedule, and it certainly doesn’t care about your bills, goals, or aspirations. Harsh, but true.
In the world of trading, few experiences are as daunting as facing a drawdown. This period, where the market refuses to move in the direction of your bias, can feel like an endless slog through thick mud. It's during these times that trader fatigue sets in, and the mental strain can become overwhelming. But surviving a drawdown isn’t just about weathering the storm; it’s about maintaining focus, sticking to your plan, and emerging stronger on the other side.
Understanding Drawdown: A Necessary Evil
Drawdowns are an inevitable part of trading, a reality that every trader must confront. They occur when your account equity declines from its peak, often resulting from a series of losing trades. This is not a reflection of your skills or judgment; rather, it’s a natural fluctuation in the market. Accepting this fact is crucial for maintaining a balanced mindset.
It’s easy to get caught up in the emotional turmoil that accompanies a drawdown. You might start questioning your strategy, second-guessing your decisions, or even feeling a deep sense of fatigue that clouds your judgment. Recognizing that drawdowns are temporary and often necessary for long-term success is the first step towards mental fortitude.
The Weight of Trader Fatigue
Trader fatigue is real, and it can manifest in various forms: diminished focus, irritability, and an overall lack of clarity in decision-making. As the drawdown drags on, it’s common to feel like you’re fighting an uphill battle, grappling with both the market and your own psyche.
The key to overcoming this fatigue is to remain steadfast in your commitment to your trading plan. Embrace the discipline that brought you to trading in the first place. Remember, every successful trader has weathered their share of drawdowns. It’s not about the setbacks; it’s how you respond to them that defines your journey.
Stick to the Plan: The Importance of Discipline
When faced with a drawdown, the temptation to abandon your trading plan can be strong. You might be lured into making impulsive trades or deviating from your established strategy in an attempt to “make back” your losses. This is a perilous path. Instead, focus on the process. A well-defined trading plan serves as your guiding compass, ensuring that you stay on course, even when the waters are choppy.
Utilizing Alerts: The Power of TradingView
One of the most effective tools in your trading arsenal is the alert feature available on platforms like TradingView. Set alerts for key price levels or indicators that align with your trading strategy. This simple act allows you to step away from the charts, minimizing stress and providing the mental space you need to reset.
By using alerts, you can disengage from the constant fluctuations of the market without losing touch with your strategy. Instead of staring at the screen, waiting for the market to conform to your bias, you can live your life—confident that you’ll be notified when it’s time to reassess your position.
Embrace Patience and Mindfulness
During a drawdown, patience is not just a virtue; it’s a necessity. The market operates on its own timetable, and as traders, we must learn to respect that. Implement mindfulness techniques to cultivate a sense of calm and clarity. Engage in practices like meditation, deep breathing, or even short walks to recharge your mental energy.
This approach allows you to view the market from a fresh perspective, reducing the noise of frustration and fatigue. Cultivating a mindset of patience will enable you to remain focused on your long-term goals rather than being derailed by short-term setbacks.
Keeping Perspective: The Long Game
Finally, keep in mind that trading is a marathon, not a sprint. Drawdowns, while difficult, are often precursors to periods of growth and profitability. By maintaining perspective, you can navigate these challenging times with resilience. Celebrate your wins, no matter how small, and remember that every setback brings with it valuable lessons.
Surviving a drawdown is an essential part of the trader's journey. Embrace the process, stay disciplined, and utilize the tools at your disposal—like TradingView alerts—to ease the mental burden. By maintaining focus and perspective, you can emerge from the drawdown not just intact, but stronger and more equipped for future challenges. Remember, in the world of trading, persistence pays off. The key to success lies in how you respond to the inevitable ups and downs. Stay the course, and the markets will eventually align with your bias once more.

Maximise Your Trading Success 3 Essential Tips for Setting AlertSetting alerts in trading is crucial for effective risk management and maximising opportunities. Here are three key reasons why you should set alerts:
1. Timely Response to Market Movements:
Proactive Trading: Alerts enable traders to respond promptly to significant market movements, ensuring they don't miss critical entry or exit points. This is particularly important in the highly volatile markets, where prices can change rapidly.
Automation: Automated alerts reduce the need for constant monitoring, allowing traders to focus on analysis and strategy while being notified of important market events.
2. Risk Management:
Stop-Loss and Take-Profit Alerts: Alerts can help enforce disciplined trading by reminding traders to execute their stop-loss or take-profit orders, thus limiting potential losses and securing profits.
Risk Mitigation: By setting alerts for specific price levels or economic events, traders can better manage risk and avoid significant losses due to unforeseen market changes.
3. Enhanced Trading Efficiency:
Focus on Strategy: Alerts allow traders to concentrate on their trading strategy without being glued to their screens all day. This can lead to more thoughtful decision-making and reduced emotional trading.
Opportunities Identification: Alerts can be set for various technical indicators or chart patterns, helping traders to identify and act on potential trading opportunities more efficiently.
Setting alerts in forex trading enhances your ability to respond to market changes quickly, manage risk effectively, and improve overall trading efficiency.
NEAR Buy Alert!! 50% - 100% GAIN!! (easy to understandNEAR Protocol is like a special computer system that helps people create and use decentralized apps (dApps) without some of the usual problems that come with blockchain technology.
Here's how it works:
1. Staying Secure with PoS : Instead of using lots of energy like traditional blockchains, NEAR uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) system to keep everything safe. This means people who own NEAR tokens help make sure transactions are legitimate and secure by staking their tokens.
2. Getting Faster with Sharding : NEAR breaks down its work into smaller parts called shards. This helps speed up transactions because different parts of the network can work on different tasks at the same time.
3. Quick Confirmations with Doomslug : NEAR has a cool system called Doomslug that quickly finalizes transactions. This means you don't have to wait long to make sure your transaction went through.
4. Talking to Other Blockchains with Rainbow Bridge : NEAR can talk to other blockchains thanks to Rainbow Bridge. It's like a bridge between NEAR and other networks, making it easy to share information and assets.
5. Growing Big with Aurora : Aurora helps NEAR handle lots of users and transactions without slowing down. It's like adding extra power to make sure everything runs smoothly as more people use NEAR.
6. Balancing Speed, Safety, and Decentralization : NEAR makes sure its network is fast, secure, and decentralized all at once. This is important because usually, you have to sacrifice one of these things to improve the others, but NEAR finds a way to balance them all.
7. Easy-to-Remember Account Names and Safety Features : NEAR makes it easy for people to use by giving accounts names that are easy to remember. Plus, it has extra safety features like multiple access keys to keep your stuff secure.
8. Using Smart Contracts and Gas : NEAR supports smart contracts, which are like self-executing contracts that automatically do what they're programmed to do. When you do things on NEAR, like sending tokens or running smart contracts, you pay a small fee called gas. This helps keep the network running smoothly.
9. Paras: A Cool Example : Paras is a digital card marketplace built on NEAR. It lets artists and collectors buy, sell, and verify digital collectible cards easily and securely. It's just one example of what you can do with NEAR.
Here are the recent events they are doing:
NEAR Protocol is rolling out a groundbreaking feature that makes it easier for users to interact with multiple blockchains using a single account. This feature, called Chain Signatures, lets users sign transactions on one blockchain using their NEAR account from another blockchain.
What's unique about Chain Signatures is that it's powered by a decentralized multi-party computation (MPC) network and secured by NEAR's validators. This means users can seamlessly access and interact with various blockchains, including Ethereum, Cosmos, Dogecoin, Bitcoin, and XRP Ledger, with plans for support for additional chains like Solana and Polkadot in the works.
One key aspect of Chain Signatures is its "Multichain Gas Relayer" feature, which removes the need for users to have the native gas token of another blockchain for transactions. Instead, users can use NEAR tokens to cover gas fees across any supported chain, making transactions more convenient and cost-effective.
This development opens up new possibilities for decentralized finance (DeFi) on non-smart contract chains like Bitcoin. Developers can now easily create DeFi products that utilize assets from different blockchains without the need for complex bridging mechanisms.
Currently operational on NEAR's testnet, Chain Signatures is expected to roll out on the mainnet by early May, offering users a seamless and efficient way to navigate the multi-chain ecosystem.
Despite these advancements, NEAR has faced some organizational changes, including a reduction in workforce and the departure of its CEO. However, the project continues to make strides in improving user experience and expanding its ecosystem.
Summary :
NEAR Protocol's Chain Signatures feature makes it easy for users to use their NEAR account across different blockchains. It saves users from managing multiple accounts and lets them pay transaction fees using NEAR tokens, simplifying the process. This feature also empowers developers to create innovative cross-chain applications and ensures transactions are secure and reliable. Overall, Chain Signatures set NEAR apart by offering seamless interaction between blockchains, making blockchain technology more accessible and user-friendly.
Analysis:
I expect NEAR's price to drop between two specific lines as the Bitcoin halving approaches. This dip could be a good opportunity to buy at a discounted price. After that, I'm aiming for NEAR to hit a new all-time high, potentially making a profit of 57% to 98%. This movement might attract interest from big investors or institutions, leading to more trading activity and higher prices. I'm looking for NEAR's price to consolidate or gather liquidity before making a move to higher prices.

LTCUSDT from $91.08 stop loss $90.7151h TF. There is a clear tendency to form a level with further exit to the long at a price of $ 91.1.The history shows how the coin impulsively breaks through the level.
I expect a smooth approach and a trade near the level in the aftermath of which I expect an impulsive movement to the long.
Target-95$(4.1% movement)
GME 2023 $ Squeeze Target we bounced from our support above the 15$, now we need to clear the resistant around the 22.20$, to continue this bullish momentum till the 25.50$, then the critical area of profit taking + rejection if we didn't clear it, will going down to have a reversal from the 10$ bottom for this year .
if we clear that critical area (32$/35$) we going to have squeeze till 85$, which will make the mega squeeze for GME once again .
NIO Dip $ Target we need to hold above our current support above the 8.95$ to confirm the reversal and breaking first the resistant at 9.33$, then go towards the 10.50$ resistant which will be a turning point for nio to confirm the reversal and enter in to bullish trend again.
however if we didn't hold above the 8$ support , we going towards the bottom for this year above the 5.60$+.
EUR/USD seems nice to trade next weekHello everybody. I was looking for something interesting on market and found this formation on EU very interesting. Look here. We are creating a huge channel from 1.011 to 1.025 now. Once we break 1.02550 or 1.010 we will run 'to the Moon' or backwards 'to the Hell'. SO, I just placed alerts for 1.02550 and 1.010 so I can open long or short on both of these prices. This is the simplest way to trade and this is always work, because this is how economy works.
My TP for long is the nearest level and this is about 1.03. My TP for short is 1.00. SL depends on your own risk-management .
Also, if you are a experienced enough you can trade inside this channel. But this is always way riskier than trade breakthrough.
*We have some really BIG fundamental things going on, so all the market could be very shaky.
Have a good weekend and good luck next week guys. Always yours Fridrex ;)
GBP/USD seems bullyThis pair is different of EU. But still the same things gonna happen here. We are in strong downtrend here, but local downtrend almost broken. We crossed the 200 EMA up and hit 2 trend lines. SO, here we go. We have a great setup to trade. If we brake our downtrend lines we can open buy and next stap is far away near the 1.24. If we bounce off it down, so we won again :) We just put short here immediately and our target is 1.20 at first, and 1.18 at second.
I love such a weeks where you can trade using only simplest TA)))
But keep focus, because this is the market and no one can handle it. Even trendlines and EMA))
Best regards, yours Fridrex.
USD/JPY liquidity zoneI shorted this pair from 136.600 on breakthrough through the flag from Wednesday. That was great and easy one. Now I am waiting here for drill this liquidity zone and then I will decide my position.
But also we can open here a short if it break through the 132.500 price and if it bounce from it we just buy. Nothing complex. Just give attention to 132.500 lvl and this one will show you what you need to do next.
Good luck.
Fridrex.
ATER Squeeze levelwe been holing our ascending channel for weeks , and we broke from our resistant the 0.59$, now we going to test the 1$ , which is the psychological level, and squeeze area for ATER, we need to hold above the 0.71$ to confirm the bearkout if we got rejected the first time .
a bonus in TradingView coins (up to 30$)
tiny.one
$MELI $ SUPPORT / BRAKOUTwe will confirm that the price will continue to go down if we didn't break the current resistant around the 850$, and going towards the next support above the 440$.
if we broke the 850$ resistant, and held above it 4h candle , that will confirm the first sign of bullish momentum and going to the next resistant around the 1275$ level .
