New York Community Bank: Bullish Hammer TestNYCB printed a Bullish Hammer followed by an Inverted Hammer at the low and has Bullishly Engulfed it, I now think there is a decent chance to attempt to use those Hammers as a Support which would act as a macro bottom and perhaps fill the upside gap. I will be buying At The Money Call LEAPS at the strike of $5.00 just to see if we can get anything out of this price action.

News: US bank stocks sink after New York Community Bancorp cuts dividend
Link: www.reuters.com
In the wake of the NY bank's dividend cut and unexpected loss, the financial sector is feeling the ripples. This development aligns with the narrative in my previous Tradingview posts that show a historical pattern: when traditional banks falter, Bitcoin often surges. My analysis suggests that Bitcoin's decentralized nature may appeal to those seeking stability outside of the conventional banking system. Currently, the advent of Bitcoin ETFs marks a new era where substantial funds are poised to hedge with Bitcoin, potentially mitigating financial risks.
🛡️📈 The Hedging Horizon: Bitcoin's New Role in ETFs
While concerns about the broader financial system's risks linger, the allure of Bitcoin as a hedge grows stronger. These newly minted Bitcoin ETFs signify a pivotal moment, intertwining the fate of cryptocurrency with traditional markets.
🤔💡 Reflecting on Impact and Opportunities
As we ponder the unfolding narrative, these developments could spell out a new chapter for Bitcoin's adoption and its influence on market dynamics. Caution is prudent, yet the potential for Bitcoin to serve as a hedge in ETF portfolios is an intriguing prospect.

NASDAQ BANK INDEX ready to reverse ? LONGBANK is tracking bank stocks within the NASDAQ. I cannot find if it is market cap weighted or
instead an unweighted composite I wanted to check this out to see if the banking sector might
reverse and perhaps have some trade candidates based on relative strength or even
rising trading volumes.
On the 15 chart, BANK's price is in a descending channel or wedge. It is too early to tell if
it is breaking out although it is sandwiched between the SMA10 and SMA20 as so in limbo at
least of this time frame. The MACD indicator shows downgoing lines that had crossed one
another above the histogram. This appears to be a bearish divergence. The mass index shows no
signs of a rise into the threshold and trigger zone as it did on January 31st.
Overall, I conclude that the price is still in the channel and not yet an early breakout. I will
recheck this at intervals. Once a breakout is confirmed and even retested, I will find
some relatively strong bank stocks from which to pick a long trade at a low pivot for
a safe high return from the upside shown.

Five Things You Need to Know to Start Your Day:
Fed Reaction
In the morning update for February 1, 2024, the focus is on the aftermath of the Federal Reserve's recent policy announcement. Fed Chair Jerome Powell acknowledged recent inflation but emphasized the need for more data before making decisions. The market responded with a 1.6% drop in the S&P 500, the most significant since September, although a partial rebound is expected.
Real Estate Concerns
Concerns over US commercial real estate further complicated the market's reaction, with New York Community Bancorp's decisions causing a record 38% stock drop. Aozora Bank and Deutsche Bank also voiced concerns about US commercial property, impacting global bond markets.
Tech Earnings Deluge
In the tech sector, three major players—Apple, Amazon, and Meta—are set to report earnings. Google's parent company, Alphabet, and Microsoft experienced negative responses to their recent results.
Contrasting Fortunes
In European earnings news, Deutsche Bank's shares rose despite real estate concerns, fueled by plans for a share buyback and higher revenue goals. Shell defied oil price slumps with a fourth-quarter profit surpassing estimates, while Adidas and BNP Paribas faced declines due to lower profit guidance and lowered targets, respectively.
BOE Decision
The Bank of England's policy decision is anticipated, focusing on the timing of its first rate cut.
In the US, economic data on initial jobless claims and manufacturing is expected, leading up to tomorrow's highly awaited payroll numbers.
ZIONS bank cresting the top of a ascending wedge.Things aren't looking good for the banks, and ZION (Zion's Bank) missed on its recent earnings expectations. It's now nearing the top of an ascending wedge, and as many traders know, this can be a really bad sign for any stock, and could be indicating a coming trend reversal.
Watch the levels on the chart with the dashed white trend lines to help predict future moves. If the lower ascending wedge line is broken, and one full candle closes below it, it may be the sign the the shorts have been looking/waiting for to enter a medium term short position.
I do not own this stock, nor am I trading any options, or by any other method, this is just simply me taking a look at the charts, and I noticed this pattern.
Happy trading, and always use a stop.
Lucid Motors Liquidity GapIt would appear that LUCID GROUP is facing a sell off based on bad new, dilution of shares, lack of consumer demand. However, based on technical, it would appear to be a very aggressive sell-off it was a sell-off. Not beneficial to not allow for market to recover in regards to liquidity. Based on the aggressive downside moves, the probability of a cat bounce appears very high and I am honestly amazed at the open interest on puts that could look to be burnt.
3$ options expiring this week are trading at $.08 a contract at the moment and if there is any level of volatility to the bull side, the out of the money 3$ strike will flip into the money and dominoing into an extreme level of gamma exposure on the short side.
People shorting need to close their position at some point, like also contributing to the large put open interest which could be contracts shorted with shorted equity.

Ummmm.... Hey as you can see, I don't know diddly about charting but hopefully the fancy bullseye got your attention. This ETF appears to be in distress!! The only reason I'm reviewing is that a friend said it has been a MF recommendation. Sometimes they seem to have good timing but this one and my advice to my friend was, even if you believe in the fundamentals of the ETF, the economy is still in a world of pain and Cnd banks are still under mad pressure. The Div looks nice...maybe after it closes the gap I'll take a look again after that but right now the chart is ugly and I'd stay eagle eyes and not involved.
HDFC BANK will double till 2027HDFC bank is presently at good levels and the whole market has moved up, but banking sector has not given good returns from the last 3 years. Profit of HDFC bank in 2019 was 22446 crore. The profit didn't decline in 2020 and in 2023 the profit was 46149 crore. The profit doubled but stock price did not This trend will be broken, and the banking sector will give massive returns to cover up the last 3-year performance and will continue with the future growth. HDFC bank will not see 1600 levels in the future under normal circumstances. Can also consider investing in Bankbees. Hope you learned something new. Happy learning, Happy investing.
USDJPY - Follow The Bulls ⤴️Hello TradingView Family / Fellow Traders. This is Richard, also known as theSignalyst.
📈 FX:USDJPY has exhibited an overall bullish trend , trading inside the rising channel in red.
At present, USDJPY is undergoing a correction phase and it is currently approaching the lower bound of the channel.
Moreover, it is retesting a previous major high marked in green.
🏹 Thus, the highlighted red circle is a strong area to look for buy setups as it is the intersection of the green zone and lower red trendline acting as a non-horizontal support.
📚 As per my trading style:
As #USDJPY approaches the lower red circle zone, I will be looking for bullish reversal setups (like a double bottom pattern, trendline break , and so on...)
📚 Always follow your trading plan regarding entry, risk management, and trade management.
Good luck!

Regional Banks Are Still in Serious Trouble!Traders,
For the second time this year, regional banks are threatening to cross on over an essential support that has carried us through this secular bull market for 14 (going on 15) years! If our support breaks, I fear that regional banks could drag everything else down with it. Remember, it is regional banks that hold the loans for much of commercial real estate. Much of commercial real estate went vacant during COVID. We are only now beginning to understand the wave of bankruptcies that are crashing in hard as a result!
Watch this line closely or stay tuned here and I will keep you up to speed as I observe any significant changes.

Tel Aviv Stock Exchange: 3 Falling Peaks into a 3 Line StrikeBeyond just the implications of the war, the technical setup on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange looks very Bearish as if it's ready to collapse to new lows, as it has confirmed 3 Falling Peaks and will confirm a 3 Line Strike on the Monthly Timeframe in just 14 hours.
I expect that the exchange and all 15 of its Foreign and Domestic owners will be negatively affected in the process. Which mostly consist of Israeli Banks and Holdings Companies but also consist of Foreign banks such as UBS, BCS, HSBC, Citigroup, and Merrill Lynch International, which is owned by Bank of America, to name a few.
#FSR perhaps a little much for now - time for reversal? #JSEFirst Rand made a lovely pin bar reversal off support on Monday and subsequently followed through today. I like this one as a long here with a stop below R60.00 and a target back to the 50% fib of recent high and low which also coincides with its yearly pivot point (=- R67.00). Also note bullish divergence where RSI is making higher lows even though price made lower lows warning of a rally to come.
Trade idea:
Buy R61-R62
Stop loss, move below R60.00
Target R67
Risking R1/R2 to make R6 for a 6 or 3 to 1 risk reward
Note: 200dma at R65.83 could also be used as a target
SWING IDEA - ICICI BANKtechnicals suggest a gradual upside in ICICI BANK . There are multiple confirmations for the same. The reasons are stated below :
954 levels previously acted as a strong resistance and now the stock price broke 954 levels, which now acts as a support.
there has been a consolidation in the stock price for last 2months forming a falling wedge pattern(bullish sign)
support on the 50EMA (ON DAILY TF)
break of the trend line
Stock could easily move unto 1050 - 1111 levels in coming weeks.
