Leap Competition: Top 3% in 5 Days! Here's HowLast competition, I hit the top 2% in the Leap Competition on TradingView. This time, though, something clicked. In just 5 days, I was already back in the top 3%.
I didn't change my strategy. Instead I focused on refining how I managed risk. I stopped obsessing over perfect entry points and focused on squeezing as much profit as possible from each trade. That meant shifting to a new management technique.
I prioritized a high risk-to-reward ratio, knowing that fewer trades could yield better returns. By using a trailing stop-loss, each trade had room to reach its potential without getting cut off too soon. This approach transformed each trade into a high-upside opportunity, letting winners ride and securing profits along the way.
Over the last few days, I made fewer than ten trades. Each one was carefully planned through a top-down approach, looking at the bigger picture on higher timeframes to catch the market’s broader trends. This view kept me aligned with the trend, setting up trades with stronger potential.
What really amplified my results, though, was the trailing stop. By locking in profits while riding the market’s momentum, this tool turned profitable trades into standout winners. It let me capture each market move fully without jumping out too soon.
Now, let’s get into the top trade that helped me to get into top 3% within less than a week:
And here’s the trailing stop-loss indicator I’m using—perfect for trades with room to run:
//@version=5
indicator("Swing Low Trailing Stop", overlay=true)
// User Inputs
initialStopPercentage = input.float(0.5, title="Initial Stop Loss Percentage", minval=0.01, step=0.01) * 0.01
Swing_Period = input.int(10, "Swing Period")
i_date = input.time(timestamp("05 Nov 2024 00:00 +0300"), "Start Date")
// Variables for tracking stop loss
var float stopLossPrice = na
var float lastSwingLow = na
// Calculate Swing Low
swingLow = ta.lowest(low, Swing_Period)
// Logic
if i_date == time
stopLossPrice := low * (1 - initialStopPercentage)
lastSwingLow := swingLow
// Update Stop Loss
if time > i_date
newSwingLow = swingLow
if (newSwingLow > lastSwingLow )
stopLossPrice := math.max(stopLossPrice, newSwingLow)
lastSwingLow := newSwingLow
// Plot the stop loss price for visualization
plot(time >= i_date ? stopLossPrice : na, title="Trailing Stop Loss", color=color.red, linewidth=2, style=plot.style_linebr)
With this refined approach, I can’t wait for next week and the fresh opportunities that lie ahead!

SPX500. The Leap paper trading competitionHi traders and investors!
In the previous idea, I analyzed the weekly and daily TF to find price zones for sales and purchases. In terms of sales, the idea worked. In terms of purchases, the pattern has not yet formed. It's time to update analysis.
Daily Timeframe Analysis:
There is a short trend on the daily TF. The last impulse of the seller is from the level of $5594.4. The key impulse candle is located at the bottom of the impulse (the candle with the highest volume, marked on the chart "KC") This is the daily candle from 07/25 and is the one with the highest volume over the last 3 months. What is interesting is that most of the body of the candle is below 50% of the last buyer impulse on the weekly TF (see the related idea, where there is an analysis of the weekly TF).
Hourly Timeframe Analysis:
On the hourly timeframe there were more than 3 price touches of 50% of the seller’s last impulse on the daily timeframe; the seller failed to update the minimum, which may indicate the seller’s weakness.
Selling opportunities:
There is a high probability that the buyer will reach $5504.1 (the minimum of the seller’s previous impulse on the daily timeframe) and $5511 (50% of the seller’s last impulse on the hourly timeframe), where I will watch the seller’s reaction to look for sales.
Buying opportunities:
It is advisable to search for purchases when the price returns above $5504 and the buyer protects this level. On a 30-minute time frame, this will mean an upward exit from the sideways trend and the protection of this exit by the buyer.

Mark Minervini's gains relative to S&P500 during 2021competition
I came across some data which enabled me to construct a chart showing Mark Minervini's monthly gains in his spectacularly successful 2021 trading competition win. I also measured the equivalent monthly gains of the S&P500. My aim was to study how he performed relative to the monthly Index movement so that I could, perhaps, understand his methodology. I have to say that it didn't live up to my expectations as it was hard to see the relationship in some months. I wondered if there was an overall competition winning strategy behind the performance of some of the later months.
Text from 'restricted during publishing' Text Box'
Mark Minervini- 2021 USA Trading Competition Winner-
~340% in one year! No holding strategy even comes close, to my knowledge.
(Mark also won the 1997 competition!)
Daily Candlestick Chart shows Mark's monthly, published and verified, performance against the S&P500's. It's educational to study the correlation between Mark's monthly returns against chart price movements.
Perhaps some risk strategy was employed during the last few months in order to preserve the already spectacular percentage achieved half way through the competition year!

Kwenta Futures Trading Competition via Synthetix/$50,000+ prizesI posted about this back on the 19th, with little fanfare. So, in an attempt to give it the attention it deserves, here are direct quotes from their blog:
"This competition will act as a demonstration of how perpetual futures trading on Kwenta will feel as we continue to refine the experience and prepare for the main net launch."
"Futures ...are unique in that they are built entirely using decentralized technology with the Synthetix protocol. Traders will benefit from the deepest liquidity...zero downtime during points of volatility...permissionless product...and, eventually, futures for a wide variety of assets outside of the cryptocurrency ecosystem."
"Be eligible to win part of a 50,000 sUSD prize pool and rare NFTs in prizes."
"Prizes:
1st place: 15,000 sUSD + Rare NFT
2nd place: 7,000 sUSD + Rare NFT
3rd place: 3500 sUSD + Rare NFT
4th-20th place: 500 sUSD
21st-100th place: 200 sUSD
NFT winners will be able to use their NFT to gain access to private groups and hidden features. All competition participants will also be able to acquire a POAP. The prizes listed above are guaranteed; however, there may be additional prizes…"
"The competition will run for 1 week."
"To trade synthetic assets and soon futures, visit Kwenta."
Anyway, there is more info on their blog including how to get started. I hope you have fun and I wish you luck!--Garry
SNX Updates: Two Items todayNote the following quotations are their words, not mine. I am just passing this on to my fellow SNX hodlers to keep you abreast of either delays or progress (I see it as both).
1. "Today (October 19, ~21:00 UTC) the Kaus release will begin, implementing a minor upgrade on both L1 and L2. During this release there will be no downtime on L1 or L2. Here's what’s included in this release: SIP-187 - Fix Partial Synth Updates In Debt Cache: Fixes an issue with partial updates of synths in the debt cache which is causing the cached debt value to not update after minting and burning sUSD. This release is called Kaus , which like all releases is named after a star (in order of visual magnitude)."
2. Also, the Synthetix folks "have been busy building the future of the Synthetix protocol and have launched our decentralized perpetual futures on testnet. All futures will be traded through Kwenta and to celebrate, we've launched a free trading competition for our community with up to $50,000 in prizes. The signup process is easy (you just need a wallet address and a twitter account) You can visit the Registration Page or for more detailed instructions, visit the Kwenta Blog. As a contestant, you will have the first public look at our new perpetual futures trading platform, powered by Synthetix. As the first truly decentralized and composable derivatives protocol, our perpetual futures are optimized by simulated liquidity, which helps ensure you get the best fill across any asset."
So, they have a few irons in the fire, which may actually be retarding price action for the time being, but in my humble opinion, an improved protocol will be a more valuable protocol. - TG-L
WABI/BTC PRICE PREDICTIONHey traders,
this is an idea I'm submitting for a competition on WABI to see who has the most accurate prediction by Aug 31.
Longer term price prediction on altcoins isn't usually my style but here is what I think:
WABI/BTC will be between 300-400 sats on Aug 31
I expect price to move into the orderblock at around 300sats to begin mitigating some orders.
Another possibility is that price trades into the bearish 2h orderblock or even the breaker before reverting. However I see this as unlikely because of the bearish structure combined with the lowering interest and volume. (also the project seems to have went quiet for some time now)
Please like and follow for more detailed price action breakdowns such as this.
WABI/BTC - 31 August Price PredictionHello everyone, rouzwelt here.
Here is my price prediction for 31 august on TAEL (WABI/BTC) and as you can see in the chart, I believe it to be between 335 to 435 satoshi (0.00000335 - 0.00000435 BTC).
It's clear that the price is in a stablished and quite strong downtrend which looks to be continuing for some time, if nothing crazy happens, cause crypto market is not at its hot days and I believe that small cap alts will perform worse relative to bitcoin for coming months. I think it will go both ways, I mean no matter where bitcoin direction will be, up or down, these alts will be cheaper compared to BTC until we see another alt-season, which I don't think we will see one in few coming months at least.
you can see in the chart we had some attempts to break some key levels, but all them failed with huge supply entering and we have not seen a higher high for a while, which I believe is an indication of weakness. so I believe that we will see the price in that range by the end of august.
Philosophical approach to Bitcoin All the people in the world that have a good understanding of economics, history and technology can fully understand the value of Bitcoin. I will not get into further details to support my argument feel free to do your own research on the web.
Some point in favor of Bitcoin besides its fundamentals are the following:
1. Square holds it
2. Tesla holds it & accepts it
3. PayPal accepts it and probably holds it
4. Visa & MasterCard also did some bold moves
5. Jpmorgan & Goldman to let customers buy it
6. Regulation is speeding up and I expect all S&P500 companies to hold it by the time all the legislation is passed.
7. Major global finance stars openly talk about it and state that they are holding it
7 bold points to think of your own. Do you think all these different entities are wrong about the future of BITCOIN???
Now as we all know Bitcoin is using energy to run the network. However in the upcoming years in the name of global warming are going to be the BIG TRANSITION years from fossil fuels to renewable. As a result I am expecting some really big inflation in electricity prices especially in US & EU. That will make imo lots of miners in the western world unsustainable compare to China were they are not going to be 100% compliant with laws about the environment. Therefore their energy cost will be significant lower vs the rest of the world.
If their cost is gonna be lower than the rest mining competition there is good chance that they will be in a position to mine a large part of the remaining bitcoins.
US is aware of that of course and that’s why the are in a hurry to regulate everything so that their institutional investors can start accumulating. As inflation hits electricity I am expecting the major 2nd wave of correction of the 1st wave of the Bitcoin super cycle that started back in 2008. This is where all the retail is going to be losing money and really doubt it’s decision to hold bitcoins. The length of that correction is going to take a lot of time because people lose hope when prices keep falling for a big period of time rather in a short one like we saw on COVID case.
Book me more shorts!!!The entire travel indrustry is firing people.. so how do you expect global tourism would look like in 2021? you might say well they will travel domestically... sure but the available income for the majority of people using booking platform is gonna be less + the fear that older people have... Do you think the vaccine will be ready this year? i dont'... Also someone who invests in this industry will have to buy onto airbnb's IPO
DeFi Buy Opportunity - KNCUSDTKNC prices have demonstrated predicatbility in movements, as they are trapped into this channel.
If history repeats itself, given than support its holding, we might target the upper bound of the channel.
Macd is showing a bullish reversal too.
Be careful because a trading competition on DeFi tokens is going on, thus increased volatility might be expected.

GRUB | ShortTo begin, I am an American albeit do not live in the USA right now; I know what Grub Hub is though. Therefore, would love to hear & listen to positive or negative comments to this position.
To begin, GRUB has an earnings submission coming very soon ; their stock has not acted positively to them since ~2018; pls take a look.
Since 31 OCT '19 ( low ), it has increased by 72% . Run the numbers but you will see this is right on 3 Standard Deviations in their short history. This move only happened once & that was in AUG '16; which can called the "GRUB Bull Mrkt" ( I just made that up ); again, take a look. During that lead up, it did "top out" & pull back a bit. I believe this time to be different as I believe we are in a "GRUB Bear Mrkt" ( 6 Mnth moving average pulls below 12 Mnth ) & will not only pull back but will break the previous low as we are in "GRUB Bear Mrkt"
Aside from Moving Averages, why a GRUB Bear Mrkt? I would advise to take a look at the news for GRUB "this month." Mgmt is making changes to many aspects of their billing; they typically don't give concessions to their revenue providers when times are good.
Low barriers of entry in this mrkt don't help & they are riddled with competition; Uber for example.
I won't go into details about Stop Losses :: enclosed one in x2+ Mnthly ATR albeit anything can happen after earning submission.
As mentioned, pls share comments!
Can LVS still go higher? Maybe, but headwinds are getting strongEARNINGS PREVIEW UPDATE:
Las Vegas Sands had a banger of a year, returning 30+ % for people who got in before August 2K19. Dividends and margin improvement were mainly responsible since Macau sales have been declining. New infastructure investments will be completed this year in Macau and legalized sportsbetting in the USA should definitely beef up profits. But, With such a great year behind us can this rally continue?
Earnings will be key here.
Headwinds include the Coronavirus outbreak which will further hurt Macau sales going into Chinese holiday season, amazing returns last year, and most likely a shrinking dividend. Its competitiors all look like better value buys as well.

I have chosen the Liquid index on the logarithmic scale as the basis for this analysis.
Since the last high, BTC has respected the downward trendline near perfectly (green), and I'm assuming it will continue to do so until the halving. The Red, Yellow, Purple, and Grey lines drawn are estimated extensions of the 25, 50, 100, & 200 MA respectively. I believe we will see the 25 & 50 MA congregate between 8300-8500 area leading into Mid May - This price range i believe to be significant, as is reflected by the Ichimoku Cloud and the Weekly Pivot, and significant respect throughout historical price data from 2017 - Current. Price is now playing on the 0.618/0.382 Schiff extension, leading me to believe it will continue to respect this area throughout early 2020. The blue drawn line is a loose possibility of price action leading up to the 18/05, with the price at halving ~$8450 USD.
The RSI, Stochastic, and Hash ribbons indicate that a bull market is on the horizon, and given our position both on the arc, and on the schiff, I feel somewhat confident that any further drawback won't take us far below $6500 before a push back to the upside.

Netflix $NFLXis Finished Growing. This Might be the Forever TopToday Netflix missed its 5 million subscriber growth BY HALF! This certainly could be a sea change for how people see the company.
So many competitors coming online. Hulu, YouTube Premium, Disney+, Apple TV+. If they can't keep subscribers now, how will they when the space gets really saturated.
On a valuation standpoint, the company is VERY expensive, trading at 50x forward earnings and has $10b in debt.
