Crude oil trade analysis
The overall trend of crude oil hit the bottom yesterday, and the rebound did not break after testing 80.7 for the second time. It's still going strong. A positive hammer line collected on the daily chart. A close like this meant the market would rebound, and it has now. The key pressure level is 83.6. As long as the market does not break here, the market will continue to fluctuate at a low level. If it breaks through and stands firm, you can rest assured to be bearish and buy up. Friends who are stable can wait patiently after breaking through 83.6 and then buy up when approaching 82. Continue to watch for a breakthrough of 83.6 above!

The crude oil market is as expected. The Asian and European markets are falling. The US market continues to be optimistic about the bulls. The market has tested as low as 80.7. Our stop loss is placed at 80.5. The US market still maintains low and long positions. The lower defense is placed at 80.5. The target is first. See if 82.5 breaks. If it breaks 82.5, it will test the high point of 86.4-87.7. We are optimistic about the range between 80.5 and 86.7. Before breaking through 80.5, keep the overestimation and underestimation within the range, and pay attention to the rational use of your own positions.

WTI OIL On the 1D MA50 & bottom of the Channel Up.WTI Oil (USOIL) hit the 1D MA50 (blue trend-line) today for the first time since February 07 and touched the bottom of the long-term Channel Up, forming a Higher Low. This is only 2 weeks after the formation of a 1D Golden Cross, the first since August 22 2023.
That Golden Cross was also formed during a correction, which eventually kept the 1D MA200 (orange trend-line) intact and initiated a new Bullish Leg towards the 2.0 and 2.382 Fibonacci extensions.
As a result, we remain bullish as long as Oil closes 1D candles above the 1D MA200, and target $94.00 (Fib 2.0 ext). If it closes even a single candle below it, we expect a new long-term Channel Down, similar to the one that was initiated after the September 28 2023 High, and we will take the small loss, open a short and target 71.50 (Support 1).

Crude oil trade rise and fall analysis
On Friday, during the European trading session, WTI crude oil prices fell slightly. WTI crude oil futures experienced modest gains during the Asian session after Israel attacked Iran, initially surging 3% but later giving up most of those gains. The escalation briefly raised concerns about potential supply disruptions, but those concerns faded as the situation developed as it became apparent that there was no immediate threat to oil flows. WTI crude oil has fallen 6.5% from last week's 2024 highs, despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East and important U.S. economic data that cannot be ignored.
The short-term outlook for oil prices is bearish, driven by high global inventory levels and lower immediate impact of tensions in the Middle East on supply channels. While markets remain wary of geopolitical escalations that could disrupt supply routes, the current supply glut is likely to depress prices. Investors should remain vigilant and pay close attention to geopolitical developments and strategic policy changes that may affect market conditions.
Today's price surge and then rapid reversal points to the presence of bears, putting further downward pressure on WTI crude oil futures. Clearly, traders are selling on the rallies and this selling is likely to continue as long as demand issues persist and there are no offsetting supply disruptions. This keeps traders’ eyes focused on the 50-day moving average at $80.10. This level affects the medium-term trend.
Potential bullish breakoutWTI oil (XTI/USD) has made a bullish breakout through the pivot and momentum could carry it up toward the 1st resistance.
Pivot: 84.86
1st Support: 81.01
1st Resistance: 87.77

WTI CRUDE OIL: Testing the 1D MA50 after 2 months.WTI Crude Oil came to day to the closest point it has been near the 1D MA50 in more than 2 months, since the February 6th breakout. The 1D technical outlook is neutral (RSI = 48.820, MACD = 1.03, ADX = 27.71) indicating that this is the most efficient buy entry since the February low. The market has already formed a 1D Golden Cross and displays striking similarities with the 2023 rally, which on August 24th 2023 made a bottom near the 1D MA50 and on the 0.5 Fibonacci level with the price then rallying enormously to 95.00. Due to this strong symmetry, we expect an identical pattern thus turning bullish again and aiming at the R1 level (TP = 95.00) once more.

Why Is Today's Low Crucial For Crude Oil?Crude Oil (June)
Yesterday’s close: Settled at 82.15, down 2.68
June WTI Crude Oil futures are now front month and our levels are updated below. A sharp move, in this case the two-day drop, is not uncommon during times of roll and post option expiration as Crude Oil tends to cleanse positioning. With geopolitics front and center as the weekend approaches, major three-star support was tested head on at 80.78-81.06. This aligns with the gap close and gap open after a pennant consolidation from March 20th through March 27th.

Crude oil drops on demand concerns After yesterday’s sharp drop, crude oil prices extended their losses first thing this morning, before bouncing off their lows. Oil was already under pressure on fears about demand following the weaker Chinese industrial data that was released on Tuesday and the larger crude build in the US as was reported by API on Tuesday. But prices fell about 3% after official data from the EIA showed a build of 2.7 million barrels on Wednesday, its fourth weekly build. The fact that these macro factors pushed crude oil below key short-term support at around the $84.00 - $84.50 area, this gave rise to further technical selling. Still, with the Middle East situation at the forefront of investors’ minds, the downside could be limited from here. At the time of writing, WTI was testing a key support area just below the $82 handle.
Middle East concerns should keep downside limited
Today we haven’t heard anything new related to the situation between Iran and Israel. UK’s foreign secretary and former prime minister David Cameron visited Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu to help prevent escalation on Wednesday. Cameron said: "We hope that anything Israel does is as limited and as targeted and as smart as possible. It's in no-one's interest that we see escalation and that is what we said very clearly to all the people I've been speaking to here in Israel." However, Netanyahu wasn’t having it, telling Cameron that Israel would "make its own decisions" over how to respond to Iran’s attack, vowing to do everything necessary to defend the nation.
So, there was no fresh support for oil concerning potential supply disruptions in the Middle East, leaving traders to concentrate on other factors. They realised that the demand outlook for oil is not so rosy after all. Demand concerns arose after weaker economic data was released from China on Tuesday, while the possibility of prolonged higher interest rates are also casting a shadow on the global economic recovery, and thus the oil demand outlook.
Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's recent more hawkish stance has tempered hopes for significant rate cuts this year, potentially leading to a slowdown in economic growth, which could further dampen the outlook for oil demand. With the US dollar has surging to a five-month high this week, this is amplifying the cost of oil for foreign buyers.
Still, the decline in oil prices is likely to be limited. Ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly concerning Israel's response to Iran's recent weekend attacks, is something that could support prices and push them higher in the event of a strong counterattack by Israel.
WTI technical levels to watch
While the short-term trend for oil may not appear bullish, the longer-term bullish technical outlook remains intact, and will remain that way until we see a major lower low form.
Wednesday’s selling got a boost after prices fell below the technically important $84.00 - $84.50 support area. This $84.00 - $84.50 region is now key in terms of potential resistances to watch moving forward.
The next key support level to watch is just below the $82 area on WTI, where the last rally around the end of last month started. Below here is the longer-term bullish trend line that comes in around the $80.00 area or so.

The Crude Oil SetupCrude Oil (May)
Yesterday’s close: Settled at 85.41, down 0.25
Crude Oil futures have traded in a quiet range, going back through last week, outside of an early Friday morning geopolitical spike. A slate of economic data from China last night printed better Q1 GDP results at 5.3% versus 4.8%, but Industrial Production and Retail Sales whiffed. However, U.S. Retail Sales yesterday came in much stronger than expected, leading to a revision higher in the Atlanta Fed’s GDP forecast from 2.4% to 2.8%. It is important to note that Crude Oil has reacted favorably to surprisingly resilient and strong U.S. economic data, especially that which highlights the consumer.
Waves of weakness over the last week have helped define a floor at $84 and just above, while the gap settlement from April 1st sits just below at 83.71. This establishes a line in the sand in which the bulls can become more comfortable leaning against. However, a break below could quickly open the floodgates.
