ETC has grown heaps since it began in July 2016, and the community has adopted a Monetary Policy that will set a limit for the issuance of ETC tokens. They have put out some pretty good news following up the success of its experiment to create a Crosschain Ethereum Classic Message Service making ETC a core part of this service, which I see as going to be a really important feature adding more potentially good news in the future - let's hope this instills more optimism with ICO address sending since the infamous DAO hack.
