Any Hope For $Nio After Today?I saw a trend reversal today in NIO, along with everyone else. But let's not get it twisted, NIO hasn't had the greatest track record here. Considering they've still got a long way to go, do you guys think NIO stock is valued correctly based on its current share price. Or do you feel that it's "Overvalued/Undervalued"? And I don't mean that based on technical indicators like RSI or anything. Straight fundamental valuation.
" NIO stock has completely collapsed over the past two weeks. That’s in addition to the steady decline from earlier in the quarter. Much of the decline is due to NIO’s second-quarter results. During that period, NIO stock has nosedived by as much as 55%. Earlier this week, a research note suggested that the pain might not be over for the company. "*

Always wanted a TESLA. Scaling in nowBuy Low, Sell high isnt it ?
Great product
Great community
Thats all that matters at this stage.
I am preparing to scale in now. Creating long term holding position. I'll be buyng all the way down to $120.
See how that goes. I might trade this allong the way, but main goal will be accumulation...
I still believe economic crisis is around the corner too... thus I should be cautious with position size...
Maybe I'll add short position allong the way down... I dunno yet.
(Moved more into crypto again lately anyways)
A First Look at Lithium Ion Batteries (Electric Vehicles)Electric cars (mobility in general) are part of our future. Demand is growing all over the world and producers now exist in Asia, Europe & North America. It's an emerging market and is yet to mature. This makes it interesting from an investment point of view. But when and how to invest? I'm just going to publish my research here as and when I can be bothered. If anyone wants to contribute with news, ideas, technical info I will be grateful.
Lithium Ion Batteries (Li-ion)
Provide energy storage, make up one of the key components in e-vehicles, determine to a large degree vehicle range and performance limitations
Key ingredients incl: lithium (carbonate or hydroxide) as well as cobalt , nickel , aluminium , manganese and graphite
Basically ions (charged particles of lithium) flow from a negative electrode (anode) to a positive electrode (cathode) in a liquid medium (electrolyte).
Lithium is used in production of the electrolyte and cathode
Current li-ion types incl: lithium-cobalt oxide ( LiCoO ) and lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide (LiNiMnCoO or NMC ). NMC takes a leading place in the automotive sector.
Apart from lithium both cobalt and nickel are highly prized by manufacturers and NME batteries, which are made out of all three, offer good safety levels with promising energy densities.
For investors li-ion innovation/production is an important area to keep abreast of. Recently prices of cobalt have gone through the roof, this led manufacturers to look for alternatives such a nickel and manganese. Berkeley researchers claim it is possible to build electrodes without cobalt (cleantechnica.com) which also offer more capacity using manganese for example. So it is important to have a layman's grasp of the technology and ensure knowledge of latest research. It is likely that a variety of different solutions will come online in the next 10 years and the market / physics will decide on the winners.
However, many R&D advances have long lead times to reach production. This makes it unlikely that cobalt will disappear completely from the manufacturing process in my opinion in the near future.
Market Activity
Recently cobalt (Co) has skyrocketed whilst nickel has not increased that much and shows possibility of more growth whilst cobalt looks to be correcting (hard). This is in my view due to
Development of cobalt bubble unsupported by fundamentals
A shift of fundamentals away from cobalt to other metals such as nickel
Does this mean nickel will see continue uptrend at cobalt's expense? The speculative activity in this sector seems to force manufacturers away from the underlying asset / material. Therefore it is imperative to get in early. Again this is an area of very active R&D and fundamentals can change rapidly within limited time, often before uninformed investors can react.
Futures Launching
Another interesting development is the London Metals Exchange (LME) will be launching car battery metals' futures sometime in 2019/2020:
www.cnbc.com
This will include cobalt, nickel, manganese, graphite and lithium. As far as I am aware futures are generally released at the top of a bubble (see gold/silver/bitcoin...).
See recent Tesla bubble and research that shows just how overvalued shares were: all due to e-vehicle hype. New tech sectors are rampant with hype. Just look at fang stocks: all hideously overvalued with exception of Google.
The hype in the e-car market is real and is an area that will continue to grow into the coming decade, but e-vehicles is a real manufacturing sector.
Clean Energy stock I’m watching Polar Power, Inc. designs, manufactures, and sells direct current (DC) power systems for applications in the telecommunications, military, electric vehicle charging, cogeneration, distributed power, and uninterruptable power supply markets in the United States and internationally. I’m looking to buy the dip.

GE - Topping OutNot financial advice. Do your own research. The ideas shared here are the personal opinions of the BitDoctor team. Trade at your risk.
GE has had a good run so far in 2019. I've made enough money in equity on GE that I am ready to move on. I'm going to leave about 20% of my equity in GE but I will be exiting this asset. There are others that I will start following but that doesn't mean I'm done analyzing this. I think there's a correction phase in the works here and we're finding some support well above the 200 hour MA and today above the 50 hour MA.
There's a wedge formation that is nearing the apex and there's likelihood that we'll break up. As you can see, we printed bearish divergence back in early February but that may have already played out when it for support at $9.50ish.
I have no doubt that you will see prices for GE over $11 this year. Indicators are still looking good which is why I'm keeping 20% in to monitor it.
Trade safely friends!
Good stop loss for GE would be around $9.50 otherwise I'll let it ride.

GE Showing More Strength? Not financial advise. Do your own research. The ideas shared here are the personal opinions of the BitDoctor team. Trade at your risk.
GE has already blown through my two targets after the earnings call the other day. I sold off half of my position but am holding on the other half. Things are just looking too good right now and it doesn't really look like it's going to stop anytime soon. Trend, momentum, oscillators are all pointing up right now.
If we break out of this little wedge we're in, I see no reason why we can't go to $12 or $13. It's hard to believe since GE was sitting under $7 just 6 weeks ago. On track for a 100% gain by the end of Q1.
GE - A rebound for a crumbling companyNot financial advice. Do your own research. The ideas shared are the personal opinions of the BitDoctor team.
Oh GE, what are you going to do in 2019? 2018 was probably your worst performing year but while the stock market is crumbling, you seem to be bouncing pretty hard here. Don't get caught with all the green candles and percentage gains. Bear markets are still bear markets. There's heavy resistance coming right up!
Short term I see $8.75 as a key resistance point. Next, I will be looking at $10 as some key resistance.
If GE is able to push through $10, then I can see $13 and $15 in the future for GE. That is probably more long term, and assuming GE can hold the levels mentioned above, including the not-mentioned $8 barrier that was crossed today.
Disclaimer: I currently hold a position in GE but have no plans to make any changes to my position in the next 48 hours.
Cobalt stock watch listLast year, cobalt metal prices increased more than 130 percent, fueling investor excitement. Since then, cobalt has made news headlines again and again, as more carmakers and tech companies continue to look for long-term supply of the critical metal.
Source: Canadian based Investor News Network: In March, Cobalt Blockchain engaged Better Chain to provide a blockchain-based platform to demonstrate the compliance of cobalt and other minerals with international standards on responsible procurement. Shareholders also approved the company’s name change from Peat Resources to Cobalt Blockchain. On March 22, Cobalt Blockchain announced definitive joint venture agreements on cobalt projects in the DRC and filed a cobalt trading and export license. On April 3, Cobalt Blockchain, together with DLT Labs, signed a letter of intent to establish a joint venture to provide secure, traceable and transparent methods for tracking and certifying the provenance of metals and minerals.

if tesla survives the upcoming stock correctionSell on the short term on the broken long term trend line, including the possible Q4 market wide correction on trade wars..
A buy of a lifetime anywhere near $120~200 if the company still survives from a lower stock price and do not get drowned by debt.
(At this point, I AM not shorting . It is simply too risky, just keeping a lookout for a buy)
GE / W1 : Weekly chart signals. Trade Validated.NOTE : first, be aware that the signal is a double Taking Profit pattern, which is the weakest possible one ! But regarding the way this asset got sold in a bullish market kind of makes me wonder how deep this could go if this was just for a retracement.
Hope this idea will inspire some of you !

Cobalt mining stock set for entry off weak volumeTSX: LUN LUN
NYSE:LUNMF LUNMF
Lundin Mining is a mid-cap mining company that will benefit from rising cobalt prices and demand.
Waiting for bounce off likely 4.55 for entry, or 4.35-4.40 range, and not likely lower $4.06-4.10
Fib retracement. RSI going above 50 with 1w chart shows good entry with lots of scribble correlation.
Sorry for the business, I mean busyness here.
Cobalt value is strong and demand for electric batteries also very strong. Recovery as major player
in this area is prominent.
For own use. Put to use idea, comment or like, but review on Friday Sept. 14th.

GE General Electric Company. Don't be scared!Keep it simple.
So this one is fun to chart. I've found a 20 year wedge that has fallen back into play.
You can see we broke back into the wedge after a 4 year false breakout.. that's rough.
I'm seeing a ton of buy signals on the MONTHLY, but momentum is still bearish, peaking out though soon to be bullish. Ichimoku is still in the bearish zone, turning though.
Another note is on the WEEKLY, we have a 4 week squeeze, which has never happened, well, back in 1994 before it went from 7 to its ATH high...
I can see it reaching the bottom of the 20 year wedge, well 24 year wedge, because why not? Its done all that work to selloff to stop right above where it NEEDS to go?
I've placed my buy zones, and this could be an amazing grab considering the beauty of DIVIDENDS.
BE PATIENT, you have already waited 24 years, don't mess up the last year of decent!
Happy Trading, Debating and speculating! I want everyone to win!
[GE] Is It Time For General Electric Bulls to Return?Noticed a Inverse Head and Shoulders pattern looking formation here.
The 50 and 200 MAs also looking to converge around the neckline on 4-hr chart.
The neckline at $15 seems to be important, it has held support after a sharp bounce from the lows in the '08-'09 crisis.
If it can't hold above the neckline, some serious selling could occur unless fundamentals change.
Don't have much fundamental basis for a bull view, though. We'll have to wait and see the next ER!

October 20 Earnings: General Electric - Higher Industrial OutputShares of General Electric have come under pressure in the last year due to management's uncertain theme regarding the company's future after GE Capital spin-off.
The spin-off aided the company's focus on its core industrial business providing core products and services to fast growing industries.
Following higher industrial output numbers and an overall increase in demand from the aerospace and military, GE should be turning around.
Strong demand for its software and its focus on Internet solutions should boost margins in the coming years.
I believe General Electric will cruise through this quarter, however guidance will remain shifty.
I'm starting General Electric with a $28.00 PT for the post-earnings move with a tight stop at $22.00
TSLA potential long opportunitybuy point ~ $355
target ~ $390
stop loss ~ $325
potential gain of approximately 10%
potential loss of approximately 9%
approximately 1:1 risk/reward ratio. this is a high risk, high reward stock as it tends to make quick moves either to the upside or the downside, however, if it does approach the target of $390, it can potentially reward you very quickly far beyond the $390 mark given the model 3 rolls off the lines as planned.
keep in mind, this is still a very risky stock, as if the model 3 delivery is delayed or if there are any widespread defects, the company will lose a lot of its hype and hype is what appears to drive this stock.

GE Short PT 23.50 Supp 26Hello, my name is Brett, and I love technical analysis. Last night, I decided to analyze General Electric ( $GE ). The trend lines are all major, minus the lines that had to be added on the 30 minutes chart. Moving averages were all converging, so honestly, it was visible and apparent that GE was at a pivotal moment.
GE Short. Should have posted this last night before the drop, but I did post it in my FB group! :) I bet you the Ichimoku is interesting, too... GE is dead. It'll keep burning... I have a medium-term Price Target of 23.50 based on long-term Technical Analysis with first support at 26 second 26.33, third at 28.36. First time really giving out a price target but hey... I call plays every day.. might as well see and publicly document for complete transparency ...
In the Facebook group I posted at 3:00 am: lmao. GE.. Oh.. you did as predicted... Some of you might not see many of my Technical Analysis posts anymore if you aren't in the group I'm adminning BUT last night at 3:00 am I said, "I'm bearish on GE. They could perform a miracle tomorrow and move price action up 5%, and it would still continue burning. Moving averages are bearish. The trend is bearish. And the pattern is bearish."
mind you this was posted at 3:00 am, before price action was moving.
Expect a hit on the DOW is GE can't be offset by the outbreak down.
