A look at M2 Money Stock Out of curiosity I took a look M2 to see the trends over the years and how it compares to COVID and the last few years. I don't have any great revelations to share about what to do, but I thought the chart was interesting. I also did some research and used ChatGPT to help me create a summary about M2. Please note that I cannot guarantee the following text is perfectly accurate, I am not a financial expert or advisor, but it is an interesting overview. Enjoy.
1) Introduction:
Money Stock Measure 2, or M2, is a comprehensive measure of the money supply that includes various types of financial assets held by the public. It encompasses M1 — which consists of the most liquid forms of money like cash and checking deposits — and adds less liquid forms such as savings deposits, time deposits under $100,000, and retail money market mutual funds. This broader measure provides a more complete picture of the available money within an economy than M1 alone.
2) Why M2 Matters to the Economy and the Stock Market:
Monetary Policy Indicator: M2 growth rates can indicate the looseness or tightness of the Federal Reserve's monetary policy. Rapid growth in M2 may suggest a looser policy with potential implications for lower interest rates, while slower growth could indicate a tightening policy stance.
Economic Health Predictor: Fluctuations in M2 can signal upcoming changes in economic activity. An expanding M2 typically suggests that more money is flowing into the economy, potentially boosting consumer spending and overall economic growth. However, if this expansion leads to inflation without an accompanying increase in real output, it could be detrimental.
Interest Rate Influence: Since M2 impacts interest rates, it indirectly affects the stock market. Lower interest rates from an increased M2 can reduce borrowing costs and stimulate both capital expenditures and consumer spending, which generally supports higher stock prices.
Inflation Expectations: Inflation can erode the purchasing power of money. An inflating M2 can lead investors to adjust their expectations, impacting bond yields and stock valuations.
3) As an investor, monitoring M2 can enhance decision-making in several ways:
Growth Trends: Observing whether M2 is expanding or contracting can provide clues about future economic conditions and monetary policy directions, helping investors anticipate market movements.
Asset Allocation: During periods of M2 expansion (indicative of lower interest rates), investors might favor stocks, particularly in sectors like consumer discretionary that benefit from increased consumer spending. Conversely, a slowdown in M2 growth could be a signal to move towards safer assets like short-term bonds, which are less sensitive to interest rate rises.
Sector Impacts: Different sectors react differently to changes in M2. For example, financials might benefit from higher interest rates, while sectors sensitive to consumer spending could gain from an expansionary M2 environment.
Inflation Hedge: Rapid increases in M2 that might lead to inflation suggest that investors should consider assets that typically perform well during inflationary periods, such as commodities or real estate.
Global Considerations: For those invested internationally, understanding how M2 changes affect global markets and capital flows is crucial, particularly in how developed economies' liquidity influences emerging markets.
4) Conclusion:
M2 is a critical economic indicator that offers valuable insights into future monetary policies, economic health, and market directions. It is not a perfect metric on its own, but by integrating M2 data into broader market analyses and considering its implications on different sectors and asset classes, investors can make more informed decisions, optimizing their portfolios to better navigate the complexities of financial markets.

🇺🇸 US2M - QE To buy the US Debt again ? 💎Here's an intriguing observation I'd like to discuss. The increasing number of diamond 💎💎 alerts serves as a warning sign indicating an imminent significant market move.
- What is the US2M?
The M2 money supply is a measure of the total amount of money in circulation within an economy that includes cash, checking deposits, savings deposits, and other liquid assets. It's broader than M1, which only includes cash and checking deposits. M2 is important because it gives a more comprehensive picture of the available money for spending and investment within an economy.
- Does quantitative easing add to the money supply?
Quantitative easing expands the money supply by enlarging the central bank's balance sheet and introducing fresh cash into the economy. This process boosts banks' reserves held at the central bank, effectively increasing the overall money available for circulation and lending.
So what does it imply ?
📈 When we say quantitative easing increases the money supply, it means that it adds more money into circulation within the economy. This can lead to more available funds for spending, investment, and lending, which can stimulate economic activity. ( + the US Dollar often goes down in this case)
📉 On the other hand, if we say quantitative easing decreases the money supply, it would mean the opposite: the central bank is reducing the amount of money in circulation. This could be done to control inflation or to address other economic concerns where too much money in circulation might cause problems like rising prices. (+ the US Dollar often goes up in this case)
Do not forget to check this US2M Chart, it is very important.
I wish you a great day.

Bitcoin Market Analysis Post-Halving
After seven weeks of bearish sentiment, the Bitcoin market looks significantly different from the bullish euphoria experienced during the climb from $42,000 to $73,800. Now, with less than 48 hours left in the monthly candle, we stand at a critical juncture that could define Bitcoin's trajectory for May.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator, commonly used to identify market direction, has entered what is known as the "red valley." This signaling suggests that we may be entering a more prolonged bearish period than initially anticipated by many analysts and crypto enthusiasts.
Currently, the BTC/USDT pair is trading around $65,500, facing significant challenges on shorter timeframes to generate the liquidity needed to break through key resistance levels. This stagnation below all-time highs could be interpreted as price consolidation before a potential significant move.
Investors and traders should closely monitor candle closes on higher timeframes and market reactions to crucial resistance levels. Patience and technical analysis will be essential tools for navigating the turbulent waters of the post-halving Bitcoin market.

Buy targets in blue
It seems this stock might have a little downside left, but should start going pretty soon.
somewhere between the blue range could easily trigger a really quick move to $20.

Really good looking chart for trading.
Watch the trends.
SRF : For 6 -9 month swing trade SRF: Stock is now in uptrend
a triangle breakout possibility
stock broke trend line 1 as can be seen and this time it sustained above the same for a decent three-week interval
expect this momentum to continue for targets 2850-2880 and 3200 on the upside in next two to three quarters with accumulation zone of 2200-2500
with a stop below 2120 level
AXP, THE PLATINUM CARD ISN'T ACTUALLY PLATINUMTrends and price targets marked.
Things are overextended
Potential to bounce back and catch more upside even with the overextension.
Guideline is more for backtracking, but it could potentially look something like this.
Follow trends and price targets rather than guideline, it is more to get an idea of what things could look like.
247 or so looks like a top to me especially with the trend formation
I would suggest watching a break on the lowest green support trend
and I would also suggest watching a rejection on the rejection trend.
Should we break out of rejection trend, probably 360.
Drop will be steep, but the most natural path would be the 247 drop to 80.
I would say, if you're looking to enter, wait and be patient. If there is more upside, you're not missing much. If downside is coming, there are still trend support lines that can see bounces in price, meaning, you'll likely be able to find a better entry that allows for less risk.
