📊 Liquidity Gaps CheatsheetIn volatile markets, traders can benefit from large jumps in asset prices if they can be turned into opportunities. Gaps are areas on a chart where the price of a stock (or another financial instrument) moves sharply up or down, with little or no trading in between. As a result, the asset’s chart shows a gap in the normal price pattern. The enterprising trader can interpret and exploit these gaps for profit.
📌 What is a gap?
A gap occurs when the price of a security moves quickly through a price level, either up or down, with little trading or pricing available over that time span.
📌 How they are formed
Gaps can be caused by several factors, but they are mostly seen as a result of unexpected news or a technical breach of support or resistance.
🔹 On the fundamental side , the news could be a company beating earnings estimates by a large margin, or a speech by a Federal Reserve (Fed) official impacting interest rate expectations.
🔹 On the technical side, gaps can ensue following the break of a prior high/low, or other form of technical resistance or support, such as a key trend line.
💥 Key Takeaways About GAPS
🔹 Gaps are spaces on a chart that emerge when the price of the financial instrument significantly changes, with little or no trading in between.
🔹 Gaps can occur unexpectedly as the perceived value of the investment changes, due to underlying fundamental or technical factors, such as an earnings disappointment.
🔹 Gaps are classified as breakaway, exhaustion, common, or continuation, based on when they occur in a price pattern and what they signal.

William Hill -6% Gap FillWilliam Hill has gapped up, so I expect this gap to be filled, giving short sellers an opportunity for 6% profit.
Quick chance for 7% gains on NLOKNorton Life Lock has gapped down, in a generally upward trend. This gap could get filled quick!
EURUSD Potential Pullback Entry AreaEURUSD attracted sellers upon reaching the 50 day EMA and the 50% pullback point on the corrective bear swing. The pivotal structure still suggests bullish continuation as long as the swing low around 1.1430 holds, therefore short risk on EURUSD is still the preferred choice. As of currently, the gap area around 1.1520, also the 50% pullback on the earlier bullish leg, is a must watch area for a possible bounce. Refer to lower timeframes for entries while keeping in mind the bigger pivotal picture. Long entries on this pair around 1.1520 with tight stops below 1.1480 and wider stops below the swing low 1.1430 seems reasonable for now.
Short or Put DBSoros shorted this stock, they are in a huge mess. I think this offers a good downside opportunity to profit. The Jan17 13puts are going for around 1.65 making BE at about 11.35 by January 2017...However this company could go BK and it is a risk trade as we don't know what games they play to keep these alive....I would take a small position and hold through summer and know that it could be a total loss so don't wipe out, but could be a great gainer
TTM very nice longThis stock has done nothing but great things! The chart is looking great for a breakout. Top possible being 37.50 and bottom being around 31.30. Looks like it's about to gap and go. I will be adding to my position on good dips.
DDD LeapsJan 17 20 calls are trading at 3.60 and have a lot of open interest. B of A just said that 3D will revive and thus a lot of interest look to buy these or SSYS leaps, there is more interest in DDD, also stock is an option for long term. DDD looks to be profitable at this point where SSYS is not..this is only based on quick look do your own research
Fit Upgrade BuyFitbit is holding its own against Apple. This is the more affordable device and controls the market share for this space...FIT was upgraded and thus has a nice gap today, should run higher from here with overhead supply at the old resistance levels look for those to be targets to take profit and lock in gains....move stop to trail...stop starting in gap, give wiggle room...but remember we are still in a correction could retest old lows be ready to exit ...you can always get back in
TUBE higherAnalysts just downgraded stock and put target at 15 from 22 but today it crushed earnings and raised guidance this could cause a strong run watch for gap and goh
Here are the numbers
Tubemogul (TUBE) reported a 2nd Quarter June 2015 loss of $0.04 per share. The consensus estimate was a loss of $0.20 per share on revenue of $39.2 million.

CHUYCHUY moving strong with great earnings and gapped well. High today and this is an island reversal...this could cause a nice run, I bought Oct 35 calls and look for a decent move over the next few days....buying time but the options were 2.08 so BE is 37.08 at Oct x date....I have not eaten here yet but sounds like people like it as earnings go higher with revisions
FSLR gapThis is a gap and go. Look to enter on break of today's high or a retrace to gap with a bounce allowing a lower entry price. Stop is in gap area...if fills gap then would not trade this one. The earnings and great gap with volume shows pros want in and thus may start a steady climb from here
