Trade Journal - COPP.TO, Nov 16 (long)Tracking
Nov 16
+ Went long 10 shares to have exposure to copper for long-term investment.
- Changed mind and did a swing trade on it instead
- Did not enter based on TA
- Would have hit my SL immediately
Dec 15
- Crossed baseline and did not exit position
Jan 10
+ Hit my TP and sold half, moved SL to break even
+ Kept adjusting SL as the TP was hit
Feb 2
? SL was hit, but there is no price data for the day. This might be because it's a low volume ticker or tracks something else
- Traded an asset without understanding it fully
Trades
Nov 16 +10 @ 24.53 (4.95 fee)
Jan 10 -5 @ 27.99 (4.95 fee)
Feb 2 -5 @ 28.19 (4.95 fee)
Net: +$20.75
Outcome
Poor. This trade was entered without following TA, and the purpose of the trade (long term) was changed. It later crossed my baseline and I did not exit the trade. Need to define an exit signal on future trades. The symbol was also traded without full understanding of how it tracked the underlying assets.
Journal
GBPUSD Short RecapIdentified an opportunity during London Session.
Price was looking to take out an old high
Identified the legs of an ABC structure
As it did we looked for a creation of structure before the liquidity grab
Moved to 15 Min
After the Liquidity grab, we looked for price to break past the creation of structure for a market structure shift MSS or CHoCH
Moved to 5 Min to ID FVG
Wait for price to enter FVG and set SL above recent High
Set TP at or near point B of wave
Targeting 1:2.5 RR risking 1(or 2) percent of account
Emotion:
Groggy as I randomly woke up between 1:30-2 am
ID Session Time and likely pair
Confident in what looked to be forming
Surprised that I woke up to what looks to be a perfect set up
Frustrated due to sleep time, and inability to understand/read to FXBook calculator
Trade MGMT:
Entered minutes later than expected due to calculator difficulties
Added the wrong lot size by a few as I was unfamiliar with mobile MT5
Created feelings of FOMO that I was missing money or wouldn't get an accurate reading with what looked to be a perfect setup
Finally figured out the correct lot size and that I added 1.00 lot initially, and only needed .13 more to risk the %1/2 intended
Was tired and didn't remember if I risked 1 or 2 percent
Added and additional .13 position far past the initial trade,
Looked at the additional .13 as a scale in opportunity, which is something I'd like to be apart of my overall plan
Daily trading summary 09.12.22So today i took 3 trades which were 1 loser and 2 BE (For someone with different broker the trades could been 1 winner, 1 loser and 1BE because 1 of the trades was 0.2 pip away from TP1) and i made total of 3.30% profit.
Overall the week was profitble one. See you next week and have a great weekend traders!

The 2021 Jul range is reminiscent of the 2018 bottom. The market has been ranging for a while, and everyone is bored. There are many memes on Twitter about the boredom of the range –it is nuking sideways–
Multiple traders have run polls about whether we are in a bear market or a bull market. The results are always almost evenly split between bullish, bearish and neutral. However, the bearish sentiment does seem to have a higher consensus.
Some people are waiting for a drop to $25K. On the run-up, that was a level where bitcoin traded heavily. After breaking out from the old ATH ($20K), it spent one week trying to pass the $25K area. So some say it could provide some support.
Many expect a retest of the previous ATH. There's talk about a long wick that might pierce lower than the $20K area.
All this reminds me of the 2018 bottom. Initially, the price ranged for two months at $6K, the big drop to $3K came, and then it ranged for another two months. Back then, people were expecting to scoop up cheap bitcoin around the previous ATH of $1.1K, and some were even hoping to get bids filled at around $800. All very similar to what we hear today.
So, I decided to repeat the 2018 bottom pattern to see what that could look like now.
- The bottom could be in, but we have about two more months of ranging.
- We could still be on track for $100K by year's end.
Based on that pattern, $28,700 is a level to keep an eye on.

Tutorial: (Q/A) What exactly is the box labeled tolerance? The box labeled tolerance is a defined range of value & time that qualifies the right to exit the trade after a profit is made; as long as the security is inside the box and above the trade's entry one could say the profit is within tolerance, likewise if the security is outside the box either because of value or time one could say the profit is not within tolerance. It's a way to add parameters to the future outcome (as a means to grade the journal entry) while simultaneously providing leniency in the ability to achieve success with said journal entry.

IBM's Sustainability Accelerator ProgramLatinX have high participation in weather-exposed industries, such as construction and agriculture, which are especially vulnerable to extreme temperatures. With that same two °C temperature increase due to global warming, LatinX individuals are 43% more likely to currently live in areas with the highest projected decrease in labor hours due to extreme temperatures.
Globally, disasters related to weather, climate or water hazard caused 2 million deaths and US$ 3.64 trillion in losses between the 1970s and 2019. Research published in 2021 in the Journal Nature Climate Change used machine learning to analyze and map more than 100,000 studies of events that could be linked to global warming. Researchers paired the analysis with a well-established data set of temperature and precipitation shifts caused by fossil fuel use and other sources of carbon emissions. Aside from the critical finding that despite existing pledges, the planet is on track to heat up about 2.7 degrees Celsius (4.9 degrees Fahrenheit) by the end of the century, the researchers identified an immense gap in studies. For example, fewer than 10,000 studies looked at climate change's effect on Africa, and about half as many focused on South America. By contrast, roughly 30,000 published papers examined climate impacts in North America.
How to Construct Your Trading Plan 2.0 Hi everyone:
Today let's go over a trading plan in more detail. I have made an educational video on this before, and many have asked me to create a more in depth breakdown on this topic.
So let's take a look at what topics to include in a trading plan.
First, what you should understand is there are no set guidelines of what exactly you should include in your trading plan.
Most traders will have different approaches on this topic, and some will have similar ways of constructing it.
What is important is this is something you will look at on a regular basis.
You will add, remove, edit your plan so it is the most up to date with the information you want to include in.
You should NOT however, just copy someone else’s trading plan, since it won't be applicable to you.
Below I have outlined the 6 main topics that I include in my trading plan, and I will go over each topic in more detail on what can be included in.
Personal Goals, Emotion/Mindset, Changes
Trading Checklist
Trading Quotes to reflect on
Trading Past experiences, mistakes, and lesson
Trade Enter Criteria
Trade Management
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know :)
Thank you

Is Trading “Gambling” or “Risky” ? Explained in business terms.Hi everyone:
The question that most people will ask is whether trading is the same as “gambling”.
Throughout the 9 years of my trading journey, this has always been brought up and asked about many times.
Of course anyone is entitled to think based on their perspective and view, so I am not here to argue or convince them otherwise.
Rather, I am here to share some key aspects of what I learned in trading for the last 9 years,
as well as years in the business world to discuss the difference between “Gambling” and “Risky” in trading and in business.
Most people who have never traded in their lives, but have heard about trading, usually assume trading is some sort of get rich quick scheme.
They often assume it's a type of “gamble”. Since most people around them probably lost money in trading.
It's not surprising as the statistics don't lie, 90-95% retail traders lose money in trading and quit eventually.
But what most people don't know is “why” and “how” they lose money in trading.
It's usually a combination of poor mindset and emotion.
No systematic plan, no risk management, get rich quick thinking, revenge/over trading, fear of missing out, and alot more psychological issues.
They did not put in the time and effort to succeed. Which then resulted in traders losing money and quitting.
Eventually making up excuses of why they fail in trading, and blame the market, the broker, the strategy.
All these no doubt also resulted in what normal people will say trading is a “gamble.”
On the other hand, is trading “risky” ?
Trading is just like any other businesses out there, that will be risky due to unforeseen circumstances.
Businesses face external factors that they can not control, just like in trading. Businesses have internal expenses, overhead costs, labour, loans, C.O.G.S…etc as well as many competitions within their respected industry.
It requires hard work and determination to succeed. Even for larger businesses that are where they are today, they were all risky when they started.
Was Amazon Risky ? Was Tesla Risky ? Was Facebook Risky ? Absolutely. But that did not stop their owners from putting in maximum effort and time to make it work.
Trading is no different, you are the owner, director and the CEO of your trading account.
So, don't confuse and get “gamble” and “risk” mixed up.
It's up to us individually to acknowledge and understand the difference between the two.
The truth is, successful traders understand the difference between “gamble” and “risk”.
To remove the “gambling” aspect from trading, is to have a well written trading plan, proper risk management, right trading psychology, positive mindset and control emotion.
Whatever strategy you decide to implement is not really the cause of your success or failure, but rather those I mentioned above.
This way, you remove almost all the “gambling” aspect away from trading, and it is now “risky” but bearable for you to handle.
Will trading always be “risky” ? Sure, it is a business and anything can happen unexpectedly and out of nowhere.
But successful traders understand the importance of treating trading like a business, so contingency plan, back up plan, trading plan, management plan,
and much more should be carefully thought out so you will know what to do when you are hit with sudden surprises like in a business operation.
The worst thing we can do is to not be part of any “risk”. If we are so relaxed, laid back, and have no stress to motivate us to move forward, then we stay within our “comfort” zone.
We become so glued to our 9-5 job which we then think it's safe. But, we will forever be in a rat race against many others who are better than us in credentials that will land that higher position/salary that we want.
“So to me, without taking a “risk” in life is the biggest “gamble” that you can do in life.”
Welcome to let me know and share with everyone what you think about this topic :)
Thank you
Jojo
