The Truth About Trading - how long to be profitable?Trading is hard work - But no one wants to hear that it is hard work. Everyone wants a short cut. A short cut does not exist. If it did - everyone would use it and the market would cease to exist. Everyone who starts out trading is lured in by the profit potential. You might get lucky and make a quick buck. But over time you soon realize that trading is a job, and a hard one at that. The markets offer the highest paid profession in the world - and it is the hardest profession. There are no set paths, clear schooling or achievements which put you into a position of earning a living.
This is an entirely different world. It is you and the market. You are responsible for the actions you make, and the repercussions or rewards which come with those actions. It takes a lot of time and effort on your part if you truly want to succeed long term in the markets. This does not just mean learning about the markets and how they operate. It also requires skills that no other job does - understanding and working on yourself internally.
Remain Humble - We all know of someone who brags about their position, their entry price or whatever. But there is something they likely do not have.. Profits. Ever wonder why the top traders dont brag or choose to talk about a position or how much they make? Because they are humble. If you do not remain humble when it comes to markets, they will humble you. If you are attached to your Ego, you will fail in the market, without question. The only question is how long will you survive?
How long does it take to be a Profitable Trader? Every beginner wants to know how long it will take before they can make a profit. This is a loaded question - with no answer. I am often asked how long until you knew you had it? Or how long does it take to become a profitable trader? People are confused by my answer when I say "you never have it, or anything." Even wildly profitable traders lose money, sometimes all of their money several times.
Trading is not about getting something, or somewhere. It is a journey, a dance. Do you dance or play the guitar to get to the end of the dance or end of the song? No, otherwise you would play or dance really fast! (Alan Watts). You play to play. You trade because you enjoy the act of trading. In other words the act of doing is the goal, not the end result. The market is a teacher who teaches you about your self. If you chose to ignore it and instead focus on what you want out of it; you probably wont get it. If instead you open yourself up, give in to it and what it is showing you; you just might get what you want.

The Advantages of Price Action (Technical Analysis) Technical Analysis (AKA Price Action)
Technical analysis is the understanding and observing of markets through the only thing that matters; price. Prices generate similar patterns over time, in every market. A single price chart contains more information than you would ever imagine at first glance. Everything you need to know about any company, or market is on the chart in front of you. The current price is what the true value of the market is, regardless of news, indicators, or anything else.
The Advantages of Technical Analysis (Price Action)
No News - Everything you need to know is on the chart in front of you. Completely disregard all news and outside information. All news is already built into the current price. The price action of the market is all you need to know. Once you understand how institutions operate, you can follow them.
No indicators. All indicators are a derivative of price. For example a Fibonacci level. Every price on a chart is a Fibonacci level of some other price on the chart. Although they appear to work, these levels do not work because of Fibonacci. But instead due to the traders equation, which is the mathematical formula institutions use to enter and manage trades.
Clearly define support and resistance. You can see on a chart where prices are likely to do something. These are "Key entry points" or "Buy and Sell Zones."
Clearly define risk and edge. With technical trading, you have the ability to define your risk before getting into a trade. If the market does not do what you expected, and instead goes beyond your stop, you exit. Without needing to wonder about why this happened, or constantly observing the news.
Identify the strongest markets without relying on outside information like news, indicators, someone else, or a "tip." Become independent and trade for your self.

Evening Star Pattern TechniquesIn this example, you will see an evening star signal who’s third candlestick engulfs the first and second candlestick in the pattern. This is a high probability signal , although it usually does not make for a very good risk to reward scenario.Trading the Morning Star Candlestick Pattern, I mentioned that I prefer to wait for a pullback on signals that have an engulfing third candle. That’s exactly how I would have played the signal below.
By waiting for a pullback in price to the 50% mark of the large, third candlestick in this pattern, you either
create a more favorable risk to reward scenario, or you avoid the trade altogether.
In our example,we would have stayed out of the trade using this technique.
Learn how to fish Support orange arrows.
Resistance purple arrows.
Who says you cant see trade setups just using zones and levels? It looks pretty simple to me, You can see how strongly this zone is respected from where price has entered our zone and then bounced ( marked by arrows )
Now it seems pretty clear to us where price is heading and we haven't got any indicators on our charts at all, just clean fresh charts.... quick someone call the FOREX POLICE because we must be committing a crime as everywhere we look we see stupid charts that look like a 5 year old has drawn on them... These charts may work for the person using them but they are also used to try and confuse people into thinking that trading is hard so they will pay for help from this person.
Yes we sell high quality signals, but honestly we would rather people learnt to trade themselves, this is why we don't over complicate charts... YOU CAN GIVE A HUNGRY MAN A FISH TO CURE HIS HUNGER FOR A FEW HOURS... OR YOU CAN TEACH HIM HOW TO FISH SO HE CAN EAT FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. We prefer to show people how to fish if you get my drift ;)
Keep charts simple... Dont let them fool youORANGE ARROWS - SUPPORT
PURPLE ARROWS - RESISTANCE
Look at the chart and tell me that support and resistance and supply and demand zones are not the way to trade, then I will tell you to folk off ;p
As you can see that every time price entered into one of our zones it bounced or if it did break it made a big move, the same happened with our support/resistance line... Come on people it really doesn't take a genius to work this stuff out!
Find a strong area/zone of support and resistance, place them on your charts and price will respect them time and time again for years to come, this gives you a head start over the market, you see peoples charts that look like an artist has thrown up over them, charts with more lines on than a table at a wall street office party :p.... These indicators only confuse you and stop you seeing what's going on, look at our charts they are nice and clean and you can spot setups easy.
Keep it simple and you will succeed, confuse things and the market will destroy you.
Mission Statement for the "- in Review" seriesI'm not sure of the exact figures, but I think TradingView has about 7M+ users. That's 7M+ people working towards the same end. 7M+ people with insights and ideas. 7M+ people with access to an in-house programming language tailored for trading and technical analysis. Yet despite this there's only a small, mumbling community for discussing Pine, trading and how to bring them together.
A few people have endeavored to change this and I'd like to play my part. So I'm going to begin publishing a series of articles through TradingView that will try to bring light to the secretly-active Pine community. The three titles I suggest will be: (1) "Week in Review", (2) "Coder in Review" and (3) "Script in Review".
One of the reasons I want to do this is because I think it's incredibly difficult for new users to get recognition for their brilliant work due to the current TradingView search system being an echo-chamber. Those with the most followers get the most views and the most likes and then more followers and more views and... LazyBear, a cherished asset of the TradingView community, is all some people will know and search for. This can be disastrous for building a lasting community around Pine and for developing your own concepts around trading. So I want to give more exposure to those who publish now so that we can all have the opportunity to be involved in conceptual progress. Hopefully in due time TradingView will revamp their search engine. Most popular scripts of the week/month/year would be a start, but I'm sure more could be done.
The articles written will never be defamatory or provocative. I don't want to rouse spirits, but focus minds. In that same vein, I will never shill someone's profile or scripts. All choices will be mine alone (unless I can poll effectively and transparently) and, as such, will have my biases (unless others join me in this effort)
Week in Review
Every Tuesday I'll pore through the scripts that have been published in the last week and select one for review, once it meets the minimum criteria. The criteria for being considered is: (A) for the script to be open-source and (B) not to be a direct copypasta-job from another coder. There's nothing wrong with using something not made by you to help you create something better though, but there has to be obvious improvements made from the original.
The script reviewed is meant to be my pick-of-the-bunch, but that is by no means an ultimate opinion. Some qualities that I'll most likely be looking for are: (A) creativity and innovation; just do as Ezra Pound did and "Make it new!", (B) usefulness: it can either be useful in it's own right, or it can be useful when used as a component within another script; both will be considered, neither will be favored and (C) a decent description of what it's supposed to do or how it's supposed to be used. Clean charts are a plus too: you only need the indicator you're publishing on the chart most of the time.
Aside from the script, there will be a brief mention of the programmer and their body of work.
Coder in Review
This is where I'll look over the portfolio of a user on TradingView and comment on their body of work, some of their best (my favorite) scripts and how they've helped the community to grow as a whole. The criteria for being considered are: (A) must have an account for over six months and (B) must have published at least ten scripts.
These won't be published regularly (at least not at the start), so I'll just push them out when I get the itch. From referencing so much of RicardoSantos' work in my initial builds, I felt indebted enough that I wanted to write him an essay explaining my thanks. I've since had that feeling for a lot of programmers. Some qualities I'll be looking for will be: (A) breadth of analysis and (B) efficient code.
Script in Review
Some weeks we're going to have a handful of top-notch scripts, most which we don't want discluded from the narrative. So in order to accommodate for them there'll also be a "Script in Review" thread of articles. This will also give me the opportunity to discuss scripts that were published a long time ago. Criteria to be included will be the same as the "Week in Review" selection. Like the "Coder in Review", these won't be regularly publications for the time being, but may become so in the future.
Disclaimer
I'm going to talk about scripts and programmers that I like, but that is by no means an endorsement. If someone I talk about sells products or services, I do not want you to make a decision to engage with their products or services based on my opinions. I'm not selling anything or trying to get you to buy something. I just want to open up the discussion about Pine and bring together a community of like-minded people.

ETC/USDT Binance Analysis +Targets 10% + MoreTRADING STRATEGIC
BINANCE:ETCUSDT
Hi everyone, Lets get started! ETC has been trading in a descending channel for weeks, however, Today ETC is showing us enough strength for breaking resistance and move up again, im not saying it will be massive but I think its gonna be a nice swing trade set up if the conditions apply.
Chart Analysis:
-Chart Time frame: 4H
-Timeframe: 1D-1W
1)-Weekly Chart: Given us a red 9, meaning that the move to downside could be potentially start to get tired, Therefore, Bulls could be controlling the space during 1 to 2 weeks moving forward. In addition, we got a nice wick from last 3 weeks showing how the price start to stop current momentum.
2)-Daily Chart: ETC is very close to uptrend channel. at the same times its forming what seems is a ascending triangle, during this consolidation time ETC has been rejection lower level and accomplishing higher high, which is a sign of strength. In addition, we got Bullish divergence in RSI, which a significant level of difference. I consider this very bullish.
3)-4H Chart: helps to confirm a support level at 3.66, I noticed several wicks around this level reversing momentum every time. I believe blue rectangle can be consider good support zone. However we are approaching to top of the channel, now we have time resistance that its about to be tested in 12 to 16 Hours.
Conclusion: I will be bullish if ETC managed to start trading above the descending channel (Break trendline). I believe that if ETC break the current channel will take it to complete the Ascending triangle and pump the price around the targets mention later in this post. In the other hand, if ETC continue to trade this channel and break ascending triangle shape that will be a sign that ETC is no longer strong enough to carry itself to higher highs.

How you NOT use Fibonacci! Support&Resistance for beginners!Hey everyone,
welcome to my second Video about fibonacci and how you should and should not use retracement- and extension levels. :-)
There is way more to say about resistance and support-levels.
Since I only got 10 mins. for a video I can just talk about small pieces and highly recommend you to check more about this topic.
I just wanted to give you an example how the market works and how it respects resistance and support-levels.
There are more Traders than those who safe profit to cause resistance or support-zones.
Stop-Loss-Levels gets triggered, Take-profit, fundamentals, those who are flat and wait for signals and so on.
If you wanna see more about that topic just use the comment section and tell me more about your wishes. :-)

ES1! - E-Mini S&P With Forks & VPSVI always like to learn something new.
That does not mean that I have to trade a new style or Indicator immediately.
But it's interesting to see how parts work together, even if hey obviously have nothing to do with each other.
This time I look to combine VolumeProfile with Forks.
Let's find out if a Forker can find additional information to optimise the trades somehow...

The ForPtions Trade In Crude OilDo you know what a ForPtions Trade is?
It's a combination of two high probability methods - Pitchforks & Options.
All we needed was our simple rules, a Options strategy and we where good to go.
Nothing special, at least in the world of a ForkTrader. BUT a trader who is using standard technical analysis had little or no chance to see what developed on the chart in front of our one eyes.
So this was another trade in our members area that payed over 80% of the yearly, and 2.50 times of the quarterly membership. A nice and quick $505 p.c. in two days.
If you're interested in this strategy and want to know the benefits of this "Behind The Curtain" trade, then go to my website and read the newest article in the official ForkTrading Blog.
And yes, the next trades are already simmering on the fire...
May The Fork Be With You!

GC - Gold is trying hard but...The down-sloping Fork reveilles the most probable path of price. And we see how price reacts to the Forks balance line, the Centerline (CL).
It's just wonderful, watching the ebb & flow of this market eve on this lower timeframe.
I would not immediately short it but wait for a better tell.
Reaching the orange zone would not surprise me, since this is where real structure is sitting, just to bump Gold on it's head §8-)
So let's put our hunting Hat on and hide in the bush...

BTC TA COMPLETEHello goys, here is something I wanted to tell all of you about for a long time now. It's a complete, zoomed out technical analysis of this whole crash and the things and events before it.
First of all, all these drops and wedges can be called somehow, not all persons however posses such great abilities at naming them all, remember, this is zoomed out, if the events surrounding me allow me to deliver more of my highly valuable time into sharing my hard-gained knowledge with you I will definitely use a chart that is more zoomed in.
Okay, let's look at the beginning, here we can see Additivum grossum fundamentalum, not a smart batch of cash like plebs would say, be professional. That led us straight into something which those who have been granted the knowledge call Dolnisius's transition, there is 2 of them right there, one is polaroid, the other one is apananonvertical. Lots of people have been eliminated or terminated by these two unforgiving transitions of Dolnisius.
Those two transitions aren't just there for eliminating the weak from the game, you need to remember that, these two transitions of Dolnisius have actually caused a massive transnanoatomical macrohonimindivium transition, this event has created something not a single one of us can calculate nor visualize, but it's there and it has been of great honor to see something as huge as this unfold in front of my eyes.
Dolnisius according to the legends has calculated and visualized exactly when and how these transtitions occur, what is their depth, what are the exact events that occur before them and how to help triggering them, he was a real genius and the works which have been found after his tragic death will be forwarded to generations of young scholars and will forever lay deep in our minds.
Now back to the grand event those two transitions caused, it proceeded to create a really complicated part of this technical analysis, yes it's the Hemophagus's grundild triangle, this one is apantransvertical, a really rare one.
This kind is surrounded by many legends and prophecies, apparently first mentioned in the old scripts from the famous Alexandrian library, however, those scripts were never found nor has there been found any proof of their existence, only legends and tales of the folk have survived.
Now we're getting into the part where one of Gartley's quotients has been doing its thing, this one is pretty common, it's opuloid, we can see that it dragged us down right into the lowest levels of eternal doom, this was the day of many and many more pink wojacks, Gartley's quotients are not a kind thing and cause a lot of hassle especially to the weak and deluded, you need to stay strong during those.
It's because they set the ground floor, you need to be ready for some huge pump after one of these occurs.
Gartley was a young man who was able to calculate cryptographic equations, functional functions of addition or disintegration, logarithmic functions and nanographics in a matter of seconds only by his using his great mind.
He sadly died in horrible pains after finishing his last stages working on the quotients.
Discovering, calculating and visualizing the quotients was a great discovery not one of us will ever forget.
We're getting at the end of this TA and we're ending positively, Spitzerlung's additions are really profitable, especially when they are of this scale.
Spitzerlung's mother said that her son has never left his room, all he has been doing since his birth was calculating equations, watching anime and reading science books.
He was a real genius, one wonders how many more things he could've provided for the human race if he didn't create a virtual world full of anime girls, we all truly hope he is fine.
CONCLUSION: MOON IMMINENT
Now you have seen a little bit from the vast knowledge the chosen ones posses, you have also learned a bit about the history of some of the greatest people.
I hope you take something from this and will stay tuned for more TAs.
