Food Additive Giants: Macro Fib SchematicsThese food additive companies manufacture agricultural ingrediants and additives that nakes its way to prodcust in grocery stores. Archer Daniels Midlands Co, Bunge Limited, International Flavors & Fragrances, Ingredion Inc, DuPont De Nemours, LyondellBasell Industries, Kerry Group, and Givauden are arguably the largest in this type of category.
These companies pump out things that humans consume and some argue that much of it is not healthy which is a different topic.
These Fibonacci Schematics are not great but they are good enough. Sloppy, but I would like to see someone do it better without excluding any important levels...
LYB
Trading template for LYB | Full explanationToday, we will take a look at LYB . We can see the price has been moving inside a correction for the last 195 days, and the structure is clear enough to understand its more external limits.
The way I thought this scenario was like this. How many times in the past were similar situations like the current one, and the next question is can I observe a pattern so I can trade?
The answer is: This has happened several times in the past, and yes, there is a clear pattern that I can wait for. Let me show you:
The explanation here is: First we need a big structure (which we already have), then we want to see a breakout followed by a 15 days correction) IF that happens, we want to see the first breakout of that followed by a candlestick below that breakout movement, and at that moment, we set bullish pending orders on the new local high with the stop loss on the previous low. The expected risk to reward ratio on this is 2.5, and based on the previous examples, we had 2 profits and 1 break-even.
What happens if the filter is never fulfilled?: We don't trade ;)
What happens if the filter is fulfilled, your setup is executed, and then the price goes directly to the stop loss:? I lose 3% of my trading capital, and I keep executing as emotionless as possible :D
It's important to show that by doing this, I can eliminate all the emotions from this execution, and by doing that, I can follow my plan without changing things on my strategy. One of the main reasons people are not able to achieve consistency is not because they don't have a good system but because they are not able to follow it (trading psychology)

LYB. Must be this tall to ride this rideBelow the 200 par sars showing in the sky and macd fall below the signal is a clear sign that LYB is a little short.
The $95 puts for 8-20 are still nice and cheap. Looking for a price Target of $92. I’ll be buying 3 contracts selling 1 at $95. The next one at $92. And I’ll let the other one ride to $91 if the stock gods are amicable
LYB Daily Bearish Divergence at Critical ResistanceGood morning ladies and gents, LYB is showing Daily MacD Bearish Divergence at a critical area of resistance inside of two converging trend lines. It is a Rising wedge, although the best wedges are the ones with at least 5 touch points. Either way, it's still a range between two converging trend lines.
Entry Target for the Short is at $96-$96.50
Exit Targets are inside the pink box. 50%/61.8% retraces being the best targets for a wedge measured move.

LYB entering long term support and buy zoneSo I just opened a long position here on LYB based on fundamentals and long term technicals. From a fundamental perspective, the company has the second highest forward dividend yield of any S&P 500 materials company (5.76%), the second lowest trailing P/E ratio (7.65), and a reasonably low total debt to total asset ratio (65.15%). NASDAQ.com's earnings forecast also predicts 19% annual EPS growth for 2020, 2021, and 2022. It's rare to find a company predicted to grow like that trading at that low of a P/E ratio, that high of a yield, and a clean balance sheet.
Looking at the monthly chart, you can see that the stock is hitting an area where it has bounced 4 times in the last 4-5 years. Less importantly, you can also see that the stock is right around something of an uptrend line that could potentially offer support as well. I would be a buyer in between the two horizontal lines, but stay away and and sell if you're more of a trader than investor if price goes below that.
Bullish LYB Range Bound BreakoutLYB is about to break out of its range its been bouncing between this $84-90 range since Jan 4th.
It's about to break out. Price target is $96.
Call Option April 12th EXP, Strike $90.
Possibility of a false breakout. Contract will be sold if it reaches $88.
Otherwise aiming for target of $96.
Possible interference from the SPY as it may cancel the rally if the SPY sells off.
LYB may get my vote for best buy everThis could be a harmonic bullish Gartley pattern forming. This stock is super solid and could pull off a bullish blast with no-problem. I would assume that it will not fulfill the pattern because it already trades at a discount relative to it's peers, but buying in down through the 90s would be amazing. When both aroons are heading through 50, this one may skyrocket.https://www.tradingview.com/x/uES4GjpU/
its piotroski f-score is 8
LYB - Consider $90 March Puts & target is $72We discussed it in the beginning of December in the Xmas wishlist class, and discussed aggressive entry was $92 area & $90 March Puts, the puts should be in nicely in-the money by now.
we still like the $90 March Puts (currently $7.20), however updating stoploss to $92.13 to give a little bit of room & target is $72.

LYB - Short from current position to 30 areaLYB breaking down from a head & shoulder formation in short term & it has lot of insider selling from key investor. In long term it formed a descending triangle.
Now it had its earning released today & in reaction it did decline a bit, so we think it will decline breaking the triangle formation.
To trade LYB we would consider $80 March Puts (6.2)
