XAUUSD | GOLDSPOT | New perspective | follow-up detailsGold prices are on a roll, climbing for the third consecutive quarter! What's driving this surge? 👀 It's all about inflation and the Federal Reserve.
This gain comes after a key U.S. inflation gauge, favored by the Federal Reserve, was broadly in line with expectations, fueling hopes of potential interest rate cuts by September.
On Friday, market sentiment shifted as traders bet on the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by September and again in December. This speculation followed the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Index report, which showed no inflation rise from April to May. The PCE's steady data and moderate consumer spending have influenced this outlook.
Despite Richmond Fed President Thomas Barkin's neutral stance on rate cuts and San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly's positive remarks on current policy effectiveness, the market remains hopeful. Economic indicators, including declining business spending on equipment and a widening goods trade deficit, underscore a slowing economic momentum. This, combined with a weakened dollar and falling benchmark 10-year yields, has made gold more attractive to investors.
According to the CME FedWatch tool, traders are now pricing in an 89% chance of a Fed rate cut in September, up from 64% before the latest inflation data release. This video will show you how I plan to position for the next move in the gold market.
XAUUSD Technical Overview:
In this video, we take a detailed look at the XAUUSD chart, combining both technical and fundamental perspectives.
Our attention is still fixed on the key level at $2,330 for the upcoming week, historically significant and poised to steer trading dynamics. A sustained momentum above this mark could fuel further buying interest, potentially paving the way for fresh highs. Conversely, a bearish tilt below $2,330 might signal a resurgence of bearish sentiment.

As the price is been on high bull run but now it seems like price is lacking bullish momentum after printing double top pattern at resistance level and bearish divergence( on lower time frame) suggesting the sell pressure is about to start.

Overbought - Pull back for rocket launch to $70 in the LTNASDAQ:AFRM should def be on your watch list going into 2024. To keep my analysis simple, we can see a major inverted head and shoulder forming with an approach to the neckline after completing the head. We can see a high probability of a rejection at this neckline due to the RSI showing overbought on the daily/weekly. I wouldnt short the neckline due to the high momentum the overall markets have experienced, we can still run higher in this overbought scenario.
2 possible scenario ill look at.
Entry long on the bottom of the right shoulder with candlestick confirmation/volume with a target of the neckline.
Second, Entry long break of the neckline with volume (Can wait for retest for entry) and stop loss at the bottom of right shoulder.. target $70 with TP at $50 and $60.
Target could be reached in 1-3 months or sooner.
Not financial advise, pure speculation. Use proper risk management.

GBPUSD | Perspective for the new week | Follow-upThe pound Sterling experienced a turbulent week as it traded within a narrow range. However, a recovery in broad-market sentiment occurred after the release of a disappointing US Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report. This report sparked investor risk appetite, particularly heading into the weekend.
The US NFP figures fell short of expectations, revealing the worst headline figure in nearly three years. In October, the US added 150K new jobs, which was below the market forecast of 180K and significantly lower than September's figure of 297K. September's figure was also revised downwards from the initial print of 336K.
This underwhelming performance in US job growth has led to a decline in the US Dollar across the broader market. Surprisingly, investors are now favoring risk assets over safe havens despite the negative US labor data. The softening of US data is likely to give the Federal Reserve reason to pause on interest rate decisions. Investors are eagerly looking for signs that the Fed will accelerate the schedule for future rate cuts.
As a result of this data, investors are now pricing in a 95% chance that the US central bank will keep interest rates unchanged in December, compared to the previous estimate of 80%. This shift in expectations may lead to increased volatility for the pound Sterling, especially considering that the UK GDP data is scheduled for release next Friday.

USDJPY Forecast: Insights for the New Week & Follow-Up AnalysisThe BOJ's decision to adopt a more flexible bond yield approach indicates a potential shift away from its ultra-dovish stance. Under this approach, bond yields will be allowed to fluctuate beyond the previous target range. The economic landscape was further impacted by surprising data on Friday, indicating that inflation in Japan's capital exceeded expectations during July, adding an element of complexity to the current situation.
Despite these developments, the outlook for the Yen faced some headwinds due to the release of robust second-quarter U.S. GDP data. The stronger-than-expected economic performance raised expectations that the Federal Reserve will have the necessary economic space to continue its path of raising interest rates. However, this scenario poses challenges for regional currency units, including the Yen.
With no high-impact events expected from Japan's economy in the upcoming week, all eyes are now turned toward the economic indicators from the US economy. Traders will closely be monitoring these indicators for signals that can provide insights into the likely direction of prices.
