Reading a chart is not a very difficult art. Today we will try to understand how to read the charts how to make assumptions based on the same. First thing that one must understand that it is not a rocket science. One has to be creative, attentive and a sort of meditative. Albert Einstein once said that "it is not that I am smart but I stay with the questions much longer".
For reading the chart one must ask questions to the chart and observe the answers by reading between the lines and understanding the patterns. Everything has patterns. Even time is not linear even as per Vedas the time is cyclical. That's why we have God (Generator, Operator and Destroyer). If time is cyclical the cycle is a pattern. We say that history repeats itself.
Stock market legend Jesse Livermore once said "All through time, people have basically acted and reacted the same way in the market as a result of greed, fear, ignorance, and hope. That is why the numerical formations and patterns recur on a constant basis. Patterns repeat because human nature hasn’t changed for thousands of years” If you want to know more about Jesse Live more you can watch the movies like The American Clock, The day the bubble burst or The bucket Boy.
Thus by asking the question to the chart and by observing the chart and searching fo the answers by noticing the patterns, historic layouts, supports, resistances and applying certain amount of basic maths and common sense one can come to know about the risk is to reward ratio in buying a stock or a derivative.
'Breakout' or Breakout level is what we are searching for. The coveted breakout may happen or it may not even after calculations and chart study and fundamental analysis. So if break out fails you must have a stop loss to protect your capital. If breakout actually happens you let your money work and reap the benefit. After having understood this basic concept let us try to analyse the chart of IDBI Bank for the purpose of education. I will mention below my observations of the same. The purpose of this analysis is educational and one must not treat it as a buy or sell call.
The First thing that I observe here is that the stock is moving in a particular parallel channel. Many of the stocks do move in channels. There are different kind of channels and this one is a parallel channel. In a parallel channel channel top works as a resistance, Channel bottom works as a support and mid channel might work as a support if stock price is above it. The same mid channel will work as a resistance if the stock price is below it. Thus we get a Long term target 120 which can be the channel top. We get a long term support 75 which can be the channel bottom. The point to note is that 75 level has been supporting this stock since March 24. The stock has bounced from there many a times as indicated in the chart. In this particular case mid channel will work like a resistance. The real breakout might happen after we get a closing above it at the levels of 91.6.
CMP of the stock is 85.12 but before we reach 91.6. There is a scope of trend line breakout if the stock closes above 87.6. Thus 91.6 is my first target. The closing above 91.6 can also be treated as a compounding point for stock's further journey. You can also think of takin partial entries at 87.6 and 91.6. If I am a Short term trader, I can even trade the stock for the target of 91.6. After closing above 91.6 further targets can be 96, 99, 101, 105, 107 and finally 120. Partial profit booking can also be done at these various levels. Trailing stop loss can also be increased step by step as the stock moves northwards.
You can never be overconfident in your analysis. Stock market is a graveyard of lot of over confident people. The design of stock market is such that it transfers money from the impatient to the patient. Thus you need a stop loss in case your break out fails. In this particular case I can keep my stop loss at either at a closing below 83 as there are Mother and Father lines (50 and 200 days EMA) at this point. To know more about stuff like parallel channel, Mother Father and Small child theory and much more interesting ways to make your money work through Techno-Funda investing. You can read my book The Happy Candles Way to wealth creation. The book is available on Amazon in (Paperback) and Kindle version (E-Version). The book has potential to become your handbook or an investment guide.
If I am little bit more risk taking person I will keep the stop loss at closing below 75 in this case as 75 has historically provided a great support to the stock. Additionally now it has also become more powerful by becoming a channel bottom support (Importance of channel bottom support is discussed earlier in the article). A person who looks at the risk reward ratio can see that down side risk is Rs.2 or Rs.10 considering my risk taking ability and upside potential is around Rs 35. If you consider 120 as a channel top. So incase I keep my stop loss at 75 and my long term target at 120 my risk reward ratio can be 1:3.5. In case if I keep my target at 99 and my stop loss at 83 my risk reward ratio is 1:7 or so. So the risk reward ratio is a dynamic number which will keep changing depending on your target and risk taking ability. You need to calculate it personally. There can not be a universal risk reward ratio. As different people will keep different targets and different stop losses. Once you have determined your target and stop loss adhere to it strictly. In case of stop loss you have to be particularly strict. In case of target you can let the stock fly even higher than your target but you have to adhere to a trailing stop loss strictly. My book about which I have a description earlier talks at depth about stop loss and trailing stop loss.
I sincerely hope that this write-up will help you in reading the charts, understanding the importance of charts and becoming a better investor.

Parallelchanel
Cup and Handle kind of structure forming in Nifty. Nifty has given a good closing despite ending below the weekly high today. This week's high that Nifty achieved was 24857 while the closing is at 24677. The closing is substantially above 50 Week's EMA at and 50 days' EMA which is at 24396. this should be considered good reversal signal subject to we get a closing above 24857 within next week or the week after. FIIs selling has diminished and buying has emerged. There was little bit of DII selling seen on the browsers indication a little bit of profit booking or sectoral rotation. If you look at the chart a prominent structure of cup and handle is emerging which is again indicative of a positive indication. Those who are sitting on cash can slowly start building positions.
The support for Nifty remain at: 24396 Strong support (Mother line of Daily chart) , 23882, 23340 Very strong support (Mother line of weekly chart), 23194 strong support (Mid channel support), If there is some adverse local or global news out of the blue all of a sudden as there is a substantial fall in unlikely circumstances the channel bottom support seems to be at 21229. (Highly unlikely scenario).
The Resistances of Nifty Remain at: 24857 strong resistance (Weekly High), 25377, 25827 (Strong resistance), 26277 (Previous high and very strong resistance). Once we cross and get a weekly closing above 26277 in a long term the next strong resistances will be at 27269 (Cup and handle top and very strong resistance). Channel top in the long run 4 to 9 months from now seems to be at 27801.

Learn Mother, Father and small child theory and Parallel channelThis is an educational video explaining medium to long term analysis of Nifty for educational purpose through my Mother, Father and Small Child theory. I am also trying to explain what happens in the long run, also you will find insights of how to use and draw a parallel channel. I have also done an analysis of Nifty supports and resistances in the medium to long term. We are also trying to understand what can be the channel top in the long run. We are also trying to see how RSI works in brief. The attempt is to explain a lot of stuff in simple jargon free language in roughly 16 minute video so that you get lot of education. It is going to be a power packed 16 minutes once you watch it. Do not forget to like/ boost our video and subscribe our channel.

30 Months Channel of Nifty suggesting Father line supportThe 30 month channel in which Nifty is travelling seems to suggest that we are near 3 critical support zones. We might see a bottom formation within this week or the next week beginning. Perhaps the pain of retail investors might end soon with chances of sectoral rotation. Let us have a look at medium to long term outlook.
As we have indicated time and again Nifty comes to meet the father line and take ashirwaad of father once in a while this is that phase. Last time Nifty came to take father line support was in October 2023. It has been more than one year now and it was imperative for Nifty to meet the Father line. FIIs helped in the process by selling enmass.
Three Major Supports for Nifty are:
1) 200 day EMA or Father line at 23542.
2) High before Lok Sabha Election Results 23352.
3) Parallel Channel Bottom near 22845.
Either of these 3 levels can be the come back zones.
Three Major Resistances for Nifty going forward will be:
1) 24040 Critical short term trend line resistance.
2) Major Mother line (50 days EMA) Resistance at 24608.
3) Shoulder of the Head and Shoulder Breakdown from where the free fall started 25436.
4) Other important resistances will be at 26277 (Previous All Time High)
5) Channel Top resistance will be in the zone of 27037 to 27705.

Enhanced Parallel Channel Tool with Fib Levels - AVAX Example AVAX on the Rise with TradingView’s Enhanced Parallel Channel Tool 🎯🚀💹
Hey fellow traders!
Today, I'm diving with excitement into AVAX and how TradingView's new Parallel Channel tool levels up my (our) analysis.
TradingView continues to prove why it's the #1 platform for traders, with new features that keep us ahead of the game! For me personally this extra steps, updates and tools are Very important as they help me do better with analysis and trading.
AVAX Example:
Right now, AVAX is showing promising action within an ascending parallel channel, with strong support around $24.32 and a secondary layer at $22.97. This channel setup, now enhanced with additional levels on TradingView, is giving us a clearer picture of potential price movements. By activating these extra levels, we get a deeper, more nuanced view of the trend—ideal for pinpointing resistance and support points with precision.
The new option to add my favorite Fib 0,618 level is AMAZING!
To enable these new levels on your chart:
Open the Parallel Channel settings.
Go to the Style tab.
Check the boxes to activate more levels, allowing you to customize coefficients, colors, thickness, and line styles.
With this upgraded tool, I will be targeting $31.79 as the next key resistance level for AVAX. If bullish momentum holds, we could see a push up to the $40 mark at the top of the channel. It’s a promising setup, and I'll be entering this trade with excitement!
FXPROFESSOR 202:
Personally i have added 0.618 level (on both sides) and you can see how well the chart works. Keep in mind that for this structure (parallel channel) the 0.50 level remains the Key Level on drawing the channel: There is no valid channel unless the middle level does not have a confirmation acting as S/R/S or R/S/R.
A massive shoutout to the TradingView team for continually refining these tools, setting industry standards, and empowering us to perform better analysis. This is why TradingView remains the best choice for serious traders everywhere. I am proud to be part of this community, right here and always.
One Love,
The FXPROFESSOR 💙

Check if it is a regular array before trading

Since ETH is in a reverse array (M-Signal on the 1D chart < M-Signal on the 1W chart < M-Signal on the 1M chart), I don't think it's time to trade.
However, since it is located near the HA-Low indicator and the M-Signal indicator on the 1D chart, if it receives support, it can be considered an aggressive buying period.
Such aggressive buying requires a short and quick response.
From this perspective, if ETH maintains its price around the 2555.38-2646.97 range and switches to a regular array (M-Signal on the 1D chart > M-Signal on the 1W chart > M-Signal on the 1M chart), it is ready for trading.
If you are familiar with day trading, you can start with aggressive buying and move on to full-scale trading, but if you are not, it is better to pass on aggressive buying.
If you make an aggressive purchase and it fluctuates up and down, you will not be able to hold on and sell when you need to make a full-scale transaction, which will reduce your profits or you will likely suffer losses even if the price rises.
-----------------------------------------
Currently, the only coin recognized for its value after BTC is ETH.
You can argue this, but this is a fact.
Several coins are making efforts to be recognized for their value.
Namely, XRP, SOL, etc.
Therefore, I think that long-term investments are BTC and ETH, and the remaining coins and tokens are trading coins that earn profits through trading in the medium term or less.

(ETHUSDT 12M chart)
When drawing a parallel channel, the most important trend is the trend line (1) created by the first and second selection points.
Therefore, if the first and second selection points are selected incorrectly, an incorrect channel may be created.
The next important thing is the third selection point, which determines the width of the channel.
If this is also selected incorrectly, it can be interpreted incorrectly, so caution is required.
Therefore, trend line (2) is the important trend line.
The next important thing is trend line (3) created between (1) and (2).
Therefore, if trend lines (1), (2), and (3) are passed, there is a high possibility that a change in the trend will occur.
The Fibonacci ratio is displayed as a Trend-Based Fib Extension tool with the selected candlestick of the parallel channel.
Accordingly, the drawing for basic chart analysis is completed.
Fibonacci ratio or parallel channel is for chart analysis, not for trading, so do not confuse them.
If you think of Fibonacci ratio as support and resistance points and there are no support and resistance points drawn separately on the 1M, 1W, and 1D charts, I think the transaction is likely to fail.
Therefore, in order to proceed with the transaction, you must mark the support and resistance points on the 1M, 1W, and 1D charts.
-
(ETHUSDT 1W chart)
If you drew an ascending parallel channel on the 12M chart, you drew a descending parallel channel on the 1W chart.
The 1M chart is drawn as an ascending parallel channel like the 12M chart, so it was not drawn.
This allows for a more accurate analysis when looking at just one parallel channel.
The Fibonacci ratios shown on the left were drawn on the 1W chart.
We found that a change in trend can occur by passing through the area indicated by the circle.
-
(1D chart)
The price made an uptrend and then started to make a downtrend.
As you can see in the 1D chart above, there are two downtrends.
The first wave of the downtrend provides important information.
Therefore, if possible, it is better to draw a trend line on the first wave where the change in wave occurred.
The second downtrend is connected to the current wave, so this also provides important information.
If you mark important areas according to the current price position, it is the same as the order of the circles marked on the chart.

Have a nice time.
Thank you.

- Big picture
It is expected that the real uptrend will start after rising above 29K.
The section expected to be touched in the next bull market is 81K-95K.
#BTCUSD 12M

2nd: 61383.23
3rd: 89126.41

4th: 134018.28
151166.97-157451.83 (overshooting)
5th: 178910.15
These are points where resistance is likely to be encountered in the future. We need to see if we can break through these points.
We need to see the movement when we touch this section because we think we can create a new trend in the overshooting section.
#BTCUSD 1M
If the major uptrend continues until 2025, it is expected to start by creating a pull back pattern after rising to around 57014.33.

This volatility period is until October 11thHello, traders.

-------------------------------------
(BTCUSDT 1D chart)
This volatility period is until October 11th.
Therefore, after this volatility period, we need to check in which direction it deviates from the 61099.25-65920.71 range.
Since it shows that funds are flowing in through USDT, if the price maintains above 61099.25, it is expected to lead to an attempt to break through the 64748.70-65920.71 range upward.
If it falls below 61099.25,
1st: 58697.01
2nd: 56204.13
We need to check whether there is support near the 1st and 2nd above.
-----------------------------------------
USDT is showing a gap up.
USDC is showing a gap down.
If we interpret this, we can interpret that there may be a short-term decline, but it will eventually rise.
The reason is that USDT has a broader market than USDC.
In other words, it means that USDT has a stronger influence on the coin market than USDC.
-----------------------------------
(NAS100USD 1D chart)
With this rise, the BW indicator seems to have touched the highest point (100).
Therefore, when the candle is created tomorrow, we need to check the price position.
The current key is whether it can rise above 20313.8.
However, since the StochRSI indicator is currently located near the midpoint, there is a possibility of volatility.
Accordingly, we need to check whether the price can be maintained above 19852.4.
------------------------------------
(IBIT 1D chart)
We need to check whether the BTC spot ETF is supported near 35.40 and can rise above the 36.32-36.64 range.
If it falls below 35.40, you should check for support near 34.18.
If the price is maintained above the middle point of the parallel channel, I think it is likely to rise.
--------------------------------------
(12M chart)
To draw a parallel channel on a 12M chart,
- There must be at least 2 bearish candles in an uptrend.
- There must be at least 2 bullish candles in a downtrend.
(1M chart)
To draw a parallel channel on a chart where waves have formed, we use the StochRSI indicator that was used to draw the trend line.
That is, we capture the trend by specifying the candle at the point where the StochRSI indicator entered the overbought or oversold section and formed a low or high point.
And, the third point of the parallel channel is selected as the lowest or highest point of the wave.
Parallel channels are a tool for analyzing charts, so you can't create a trading strategy with them alone.
Therefore, you definitely need support and resistance points drawn on 1M, 1W, and 1D charts.
(1D chart)
The reference line for drawing a parallel channel is line 1.
Therefore, I think that passing line 1 means that there is a possibility of a change in trend.
Therefore, we need to see if the price can be maintained by rising above line 1.
Line 2 is also a reference line, and if it passes this, there is a high possibility of a change in trend.
-
Have a good time.
Thank you.

Hello, traders.

-------------------------------------
I think this is the first time I've written an idea for the SPX500USD futures chart.
I'll give you an example of how to actually use it using the parallel channel that I introduced.
No matter how good an indicator or chart tool is added, if you don't know how to use it, chart analysis can be done in the wrong direction, so it is recommended that you familiarize yourself with the core interpretation method and how to use it before using it.
There are many examples of how to draw a trend line or how to draw a parallel channel, so you need to study how to draw it.
-----------------------------------------------
(SPX500USD 1M chart)
It is rising near the upper black line of the parallel channel.
Therefore, it is likely to face resistance near the black line and fall.
Accordingly, we need to check for support near 1 (5878.7) drawn with the right trend period Fibonacci Extension (Trend-Based Fib Extension) tool.
If it falls, we need to check if it can rise along the middle point (black dotted line) of the parallel channel.
However, since the section pointed to by the finger is an important support and resistance section, if it receives support near this section, it is highly likely that the upward trend will continue.
-
The left trend period Fibonacci Extension (Trend-Based Fib Extension) is drawn as the first rising wave on the 12M chart.
The trend-based Fibonacci extension on the right is drawn as the last rising wave on the 1M chart.
-
The section drawn as a square box corresponds to an important section among the Fibonacci ratios drawn on the chart, and when viewed as a parallel channel, it passes near the upper black line, so you can see that it corresponds to an important section.
-
(1D chart)
Since it is a futures chart, it is right to explain it on a time frame chart that can actually be traded, but since an idea can become useless as soon as time passes after publishing it, I will explain it based on the 1D chart.
I think the most important trend in futures trading is the trend of the 1D chart.
Therefore, when trading in the opposite direction of the trend of the 1D chart, you need to respond quickly and briefly.
-
A parallel channel was also drawn on the 1D chart.
The first point is designated as the point that is supported and rises from the middle point of the parallel channel drawn on the 12M chart, and the point that the finger points to is designated to draw the parallel channel.
The HA-MS indicator was used to draw the support and resistance points.
However, as shown in the chart above, the HA-MS indicator may be distracting when viewing the chart, so I am explaining it by disabling it.
-
The key is whether the price can be maintained by rising above 5741.6.
The 5741.6 point is the HA-High indicator point on the 1D chart, meaning that anything above this point is in the high range.
Since the StochRSI indicator is currently in the oversold range, it is more likely to lead to an additional decline.
Therefore, if the price falls, the key is whether it can be supported near the middle point of the parallel channel on the 1D chart, which is the section indicated by the circle.
That said, I don't think it's a good idea to enter a sell (SHORT) position right now.
The reason is that the StochRSI indicator is in the oversold section.
Therefore, if you want to trade with a sell (SHORT) position through scalping and day trading, you need to respond quickly and quickly.
Although the StochRSI indicator has entered the oversold section, the BW indicator is still rising.
Therefore, you should consider that there is a high possibility of a fake or sweep that pretends to fall.
Therefore, in order to make a big profit with a sell (SHORT) position, the BW indicator should be in a horizontal line at the highest point (100) and the StochRSI indicator should be falling in the overbought section.
-
Have a nice time.
Thank you.

New chart tool released: Parallel Channel
Hello, traders.
If you "Follow", you can always get new information quickly.
Please also click "Boost".
Have a nice day today.
-------------------------------------
You can check the detailed explanation of the newly added chart tool by clicking the link address below.
www.tradingview.com
---------------------------------------
The most important thing when drawing a trend line is where you designate the selection point.
Therefore, it is recommended to draw the trend line before starting a trade.
If you draw a trend line while a trade is in progress, you should be careful because your psychological state may be reflected when designating the selection point.
-
You need to select 3 points to draw a parallel channel.
The first and second are the points corresponding to the trend line, and the third selection point is the point where the channel will be drawn.
Accordingly, I recommend drawing on the largest time frame chart possible.
I think that is the most objective way to draw parallel channels.
-
The chart above is the 12M chart, which is the largest time frame chart.
If the 12M chart does not have the current candle arrangement, you should use the 1M chart.
-
As in the example chart above, create a trend line by specifying the low point of the rising candle after the falling candle. (Specify 1st and 2nd points)
Then, complete the channel by specifying the high point of the candlestick to the left of the previous downtrend candlestick of the 2nd point. (Specify 3rd point)
If you draw it like above and look at it on a 1D chart, it will feel like it is drawn well.
-----------------
If you want to draw a 1D chart on a lower time frame chart, the 3rd point is the hardest to choose.
However, since you can designate it in the same way as you drew it on the largest time frame chart, you have to find out which point corresponds to the 3rd point.
-
If you look at the current trend, you can see that it is forming a downtrend channel.
Therefore, you have to choose a point to create a downtrend channel.
-
You can select and designate as shown in the chart above.
When drawing on the 12M chart above (when in an uptrend)
1st point designation: Select the low point of the rising candle after the falling candle
2nd point designation: Select the point of the rising candle after the falling candle after the 1st point designation
3rd point designation: Select the high point of the candle on the left of the falling candle to the left of the 2nd point designation
(When in a downtrend)
1st point designation: Select the opening price of the falling candle (wave) after the rising candle (wave)
2nd point designation: Select the opening price of the falling candle (wave) after the rising candle (wave) after the 1st point designation
3rd point designation: Select the low point of the rising candle (wave) to the left of the 2nd point designation
If you select in the above way, you can get a feeling that something is well drawn.
If you have your own drawing style, you can draw it that way.
I am just giving you an example of how to draw, so you don't have to follow it.
However, the important point is that you have to draw it according to the method of designating the selection point and creating a pattern.
-
If you look at the 1D chart above, you can see that there is a vertical line drawn.
This vertical line indicates the high point of the StochRSI indicator.
Since the current trend is a downtrend, the high point of the StochRSI indicator is indicated, but when it is an uptrend, the low point of the StochRSI indicator is indicated.
And, based on that point, you can select the point according to the format of designating the selection point mentioned above.

The trend line is a tool for chart analysis.
Therefore, in order to trade, the support and resistance points drawn on the 1M, 1W, and 1D charts must be indicated.
So, if you have confirmed the trend using the parallel channel released this time, you must draw the support and resistance points to create a basis for trading.
The reason is that since the trend line is diagonal, it is difficult to determine the timing to start trading.
-----------------------------------
The method I am talking about is a method that anyone can understand.
The trend line you draw should be a point that everyone who sees various support and resistance points can understand.
Then there is no need to explain why you chose that point, and I think everyone can easily understand it.
If you have a good method that you are using, please publish it as an idea and make it public.

Have a good time.
Thank you.

Use of Various Technical indicators. (Educational Post)Nifty again after making a new high ended in negative today. Main reason for nifty ending in negative can be attributed to channel top resistance. RSI (Relative strength Index) reached over heated zone and peaked above 80 showing the market was overheated, this was the second reason of Nifty ended in red of Friday after a fantastic weak. RSI of monthly and weekly and daily candles also shows that Nifty is in the overbought zone. This can continue for a while or Nifty can dive next week or in the coming time searching for it's supports for the purpose of correction or consolidation. On hourly chart as seen above RSI Peak is near 81 with supports near 57 and 47 range. Currently the RSI is at 64.67.
Bollinger Band is also suggesting temporary market peak near 26336 and strong support near 26092 and 25866.
MACD is also signaling towards consolidation and correction as the coveted blue line seen in the chart is dipping below red line. Histograms sine wave is going towards negative zone with some strength in it's stride.
50 hours EMA or the mother line is near 25909 and 200 hours EMA or the father line is near 25345.
Parallel channel indicates top near 26336. Mid channel support near 25866 and channel bottom support is near 25595.
Trend line support is near 26148 and trend top seems to be near 26437.
Supports and resistances drawn based on recent peaks and valleys are as under:
Supports at: 26148, 26037, 25866 and 25595.
Resistances at: 26277 (All time high resistance)
In the above chart and data we have used the combination of Supports and Resistances, Trend lines, EMA, MACD, RSI, Parallel Channel, Bollinger Bands. You must have seen that various Technical indicators many a times indicate same or similar levels. Thus instead of trying to master many indicators, if you can focus on a few and master them, you will be more often correct. As Bruce Lee has famously said and I quote him, "I am not afraid of someone who knows 10000 kicks, I am afraid of the one who has practised 1 kick 10,000 times."
It is also said in Sanskrit 'Sarva Deva Namaskaram, Keshavam Prati gacchati'. Pray to any of the divine forces but they ultimately end up at the feet of the supreme God head. Nasiruddin Shah had also said in a movie (Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na) "Idhar se jao, udhar se jao, ultimately sab rasta God ke pass jata hai." Deducing from it many indicators often yield same results. Master 2 or 3 of them and they will make you a great analyst.
Conclusion: Learn, unlearn, relearn and master a few indicators rather than trying to know many indicators. They will help you create generational wealth. BTC (4H): Range BoundBTC is moving within a consolidation box
Price is ranging between:
61,800 (Resistance, top of channel)
57,700 (Support, bottom of channel)
Bulls need strength to break the resistance of 61,800.00
AB=CD pattern target calls for 68,000 (Daily Descending channel top)
However, a resistance of 63,500 will require Bullish move.
Simple Strategies for NZDUSDA complicated trading strategy doesn't guarantee profits. Sometimes, a simple trading strategy works best. Here are two straightforward approaches I have for the NZDUSD trade.
Strategy:
1. Retest of Resistance at 0.6096:
- Setup: Watch for a retest of the resistance level at 0.6096.
- Entry: Enter a short position on confirmation of resistance holding.
- Stop-Loss: Place a stop-loss just above the resistance level.
- Target: Aim for key support levels below for potential profit.
2. Retest of the Tip of the Bearish Channel:
- Setup: Look for a retest at the tip of the bearish channel.
- Entry: Enter a short position if the price respects the channel boundary.
- Stop-Loss: Place a stop-loss just above the bearish channel.
- Target: Aim for the lower boundary of the channel or key support levels below.
Key Points:
- Simplicity: Simple strategies can be effective and easier to manage.
- Risk Management: Ensure proper stop-loss placement to manage risk effectively.
- Confirmation: Always wait for confirmation of the levels holding before entering trades.
Sometimes, simplicity is the key to effective trading. What’s your take on NZDUSD?

Long Term Analysis of Nifty my observations and a conclusion. The chart above is the chart of Nifty 50 since 1991. This chart here tells a few stories. I will tell you my version of these stories or observations you can derive your own conclusions from them:
1) India is a continuous bull market. There are blips due to Micro and Macro reasons but the chart keeps moving forward in the parallel channel. We are in the upper half of the channel since 2005 indicative of an economy that is moving forward and GDP that is continuously growing. There are couple of times when the market went into the lower half of the channel once was during the 2008 Sub-prime crisis and once during the COVID19 global crisis. Lot of countries of the world have still not come out of the trauma but we bounce back each time. This tells us about strength of our nation and our economy.
2) There is lot more room to grow before we hit the channel top resistance. Even in case of some major political event or market correction. We can get the mid channel support and the support of Mother line 50 Months EMA.
3) Relative Strength index is a lagging indicator used by a lot of analyst to check if the market is overbought or oversold. As per my observation over the years. We start to enter the overbought territory once the index is above 70. RSI above 80 is indicative of a market that is overbought. Similarly when the RSI levels are below 30 we enter the oversold territory and When RSI is below 20 we are in the highly oversold territory. Now if you look at the chart carefully each time monthly RSI of Nifty has gone near / above / substantially above 80 levels there has been a correction in the market. Some corrections have been large some not so substantial but inevitably market has corrected. Right now RSI of Nifty is 78.94. The levels to watch out for reversal / Consolidation / correction in my opinion can be anywhere between 79.88 and 91.35. I am not trying to scare you or predict a doomsday scenario, I am just presenting historic data in front of you.
4) Market can remain irrational for period of time beyond human comprehension. Market can remain irrational more than an investor can remain rational. So while we ride the upwave changing sectors and changing our stories and choices shuffling between small and mid and large caps do not forget to put in your stop losses and trailing stop losses. Stop losses are our friends that protect our capital and trailing stop losses are our friends that protect our profits. While we use them it can happen that a stock takes your trailing stop loss and again bounces back to huge upside but it is fine, either we learn or we win. If you have the capital you can invest again. If you will not have the capital it is an irreversible loss.
Conclusion: Stay Positive but be cautious. Use stop losses with discipline and trailing stop losses generously. The chart shows that history repeats. The chart shows that India is a continuous bull market. The chart shows that long term investor will always win if he has discipline and follows a process in stock selection, profit booking and staying vigilant.
Technicals Made Easy: Technical Dissection of Nifty Hourly ChartIn The above chart you can see how Nifty follows various Technical aspects of the chart. First of all we can see a Parallel channel in which Nifty is travelling. The channel has 3 parts.
1) Channel Top.
2) Channel Bottom.
3) Mid Channel.
Channel top will always work as a resistance and Channel bottom will always will work as support. Channel Mid or Mid channel will act as support or resistance depending on where the candles are. If the candles are below the mid-line, the line will act as resistance. If the candles are above the mid-line, the line will act as support.
Similarly the 50 and 200 EMA (Mother and Father lines) have similar characteristics. If the candles are below respective Mother and father line, the lines will act as resistance. If the candles are above the EMAs the EMAs will act as supports.
In the chart we also see negative MACD crossover at one particular point and candles behaving bearishly after the same. Similarly after a positive MACD crossover the candles might behave bullishly.
Technical analysis is simple process by which you try to study the combined psychology of overall investors and how they behave at particular levels. Technical analysis in other words is graphical representation of behavioural patterns of investors, keeping historical data at the core of decision making. It is also science and not some wizardry or magic. In case you want to learn more about Technical or Techno-Funda analysis you can leave a comment below.
