ayPal (PYPL): New Features and Market ImpactPayPal ( NASDAQ:PYPL ) is currently up 44% from our initial entry, demonstrating strong performance within a developing trend channel. While not entirely symmetrical, the addition of a smaller trend channel on the upper side showcases nearly perfect alignment, highlighting this stock’s potential for growth.
Last Thursday, PayPal announced a new feature allowing customers to collect money from friends and family for shared expenses, available in the US, Germany, Italy, and Spain. While innovative, this announcement led to a 4% dip in PayPal’s stock, likely due to profit-taking by investors.
From a technical standpoint, we expect a three-wave correction to finalize wave (iv). Currently, the key support zone lies at the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level near $76, which aligns with the last level before a low-volume node. If this support fails, the 50% Fibonacci level becomes the next likely target. However, NASDAQ:PYPL should avoid prolonged trading below wave (i)’s range of $70 to maintain its bullish structure.

PayPal (PYPL): Elliott Wave update - final target in sightSince our entry in PayPal, the stock has performed exceptionally well, respecting the Elliott wave structure and currently providing us with a return of over 35%. This price action demonstrates how effectively PayPal follows the Elliott wave count, reinforcing our bullish outlook.
We have now set our stop loss at break even, allowing us to safeguard our gains while continuing to benefit from potential upward movement. During the recent wave (4), we chose not to enter, but it's important to note that the price respected the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level precisely, indicating a strong likelihood that similar levels will be respected in future corrections.
PayPal is currently advancing through wave (5), and we anticipate this wave to conclude soon. Our target for the larger wave (iii) stands at $81, with wave (5) potentially reaching up to $84. However, there is a possibility that wave (5) may conclude before reaching the wave (iii) target. Therefore, we will closely monitor the situation, keeping our alerts ready to react as needed.
Once PayPal moves into the $81 target area, we will look to secure additional profits. Should the price action align with our projections, we will consider re-entering at wave (iv) for further opportunities. Until then, we let our position continue running.
PayPal (PYPL): Ready for a pullback after hitting wave (iii)Plan the trade and trade the plan.
That’s exactly what we’ve done with PayPal. In our last update a month ago, we stated: “We are going to take more profits once we are getting into the $81 area,” and now, we’ve done just that as NASDAQ:PYPL has reached the minimum target for Wave (iii) at $81. With the position now up 37%, we see more upside potential, but a pullback here could offer a prime second entry spot.
Several factors are aligning in the chart, reinforcing our conviction for a good re-entry. First, we are seeing a bearish RSI divergence, suggesting a more significant drop than the minor one we've already seen. Ideally, we’d like to see the price dip below the last level before the low-volume node at $76. A low-volume node represents an area of little trading activity, which means the price tends to move quickly through these zones in the future.
As for the entry, two key levels stand out to us. The high of the recent accumulation phase before the last leg up and the low of the same range, which aligns with the level of Wave (i). In theory, this level should not be breached. While we don’t strictly adhere to Elliott Wave theory, we prefer not to see the stock close below this level for an extended period. A wick below or consolidation around this zone would be valid for us. Additionally, the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level sits in the middle of this accumulation phase, making it our targeted entry for Wave 4. Therefore, the level between $72.78 and $70.62 seems ideal for a re-entry.
Given the upcoming election, it would be safer to play this setup with a wider stop-loss or soft stop-loss (manual stop-loss) to account for potential volatility or sudden price wicks.
At the moment, we haven’t set a limit order but have activated alerts. Once the price dips below $76, we will activate our limit order and get ready for the next leg up. 🔥

Is PayPal's Rise Unstoppable?PayPal, once a mere online payment facilitator, has evolved into a financial powerhouse. Its strategic partnerships, innovative ventures, and consistent financial performance have solidified its position as a dominant player in the digital payments landscape.
The company’s recent investment in Chaos Labs, a blockchain risk management firm, underscores its commitment to staying ahead of the curve and embracing emerging technologies. This strategic move not only positions PayPal as a leader in the blockchain space but also highlights its ability to identify and capitalize on future trends.
Moreover, PayPal’s partnership with Amazon has significantly expanded its reach and boosted investor confidence. By integrating PayPal as a checkout option for third-party merchants, Amazon has effectively made PayPal a more accessible and convenient payment method for millions of consumers. This strategic alliance has not only driven revenue growth but has also fueled PayPal's stock price.
Beyond Amazon, PayPal's collaborations with Shopify, Adyen, and other industry leaders have further diversified its business model. These partnerships have allowed PayPal to tap into new markets, reach a wider customer base, and enhance its value proposition.
The increasing confidence of institutional investors in PayPal is a testament to its strong fundamentals and growth potential. As investors continue to seek out stable and profitable investments, PayPal’s consistent performance and strategic initiatives make it an attractive option.
In conclusion, PayPal's journey from a simple online payment platform to a financial powerhouse is a testament to its ability to adapt, innovate, and deliver value to its stakeholders. With its strategic partnerships, blockchain ventures, and solid financial performance, PayPal is well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory and remain a dominant force in the digital payments industry.
PayPal Analysis: A Strong Surge Fueled by Market InnovationsPayPal (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:PYPL ) continues to make significant strides, as demonstrated by its recent partnership with Amazon, which is propelling the stock's impressive rally. In its latest update, Amazon announced the integration of PayPal into its *Buy with Prime* feature, allowing shoppers to pay using PayPal while leveraging Amazon’s Prime benefits. This partnership is a huge win for PayPal, as it will likely lead to broader usage across e-commerce platforms, giving more consumers and businesses access to its services.
Overview
The *Buy with Prime* feature allows Prime subscribers to make purchases on non-Amazon websites, offering free delivery and returns—enhancing the overall e-commerce experience for both merchants and buyers. Now, with PayPal in the mix, the payment experience becomes even more seamless. By 2025, Prime members will be able to link their Amazon accounts to PayPal, effectively bridging two e-commerce giants to create an easier, faster checkout experience.
PayPal’s new positioning as a strategic payment gateway on such a massive platform as Amazon could open doors to a larger customer base. The partnership builds on Amazon’s success with *Buy with Prime*, which has seen a 45% year-over-year increase in orders through merchant websites and a 16% increase in revenue per shopper since its expansion.
This also follows PayPal’s rollout of its own stablecoin, PYUSD, which is pegged to the U.S. dollar and brings it deeper into the realm of digital currency solutions. With the additional integration of the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) to their crypto services, PayPal (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:PYPL ) is diversifying its offerings across both traditional and digital finance, positioning itself as a leader in the evolving fintech landscape.
Technical Analysis
At the time of writing, PayPal (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:PYPL ) stock is up 6.24% during Thursday’s market trading session, reflecting strong investor sentiment following this string of developments. Technically, the stock is currently overbought, with the RSI (Relative Strength Index) standing at 73.88, signaling that the stock may be due for a short-term pullback or consolidation phase. However, this overbought level should not immediately deter investors, as the upward momentum suggests a continuation of bullish trends.
PayPal (NASDAQ: NASDAQ:PYPL ) has consistently performed well this year, with several key developments driving its upward trajectory. The RSI level could hint at potential price corrections or cooling periods, but it also signifies strong demand in the market. The stock has been trending upwards steadily since mid-summer and shows no signs of slowing down, especially with the positive news surrounding Amazon’s integration and the company's own innovations in digital payments.
It’s worth noting that gaps in the stock's price chart created earlier in the year might signal a possible retracement to fill those gaps. Nevertheless, the overall trend remains bullish, and PayPal’s stock could consolidate before pushing higher. The robust fundamentals supporting PayPal’s growth, including strategic partnerships and innovations in the fintech sector, could provide a solid foundation for sustained long-term growth.
Conclusion
PayPal’s integration into Amazon's *Buy with Prime* program, combined with its recent innovations like PYUSD and ENS integration, sets the stage for sustained growth in the fintech and e-commerce sectors. While technically the stock appears overbought and could be due for a brief pullback, its long-term prospects remain strong due to these strategic partnerships and advancements. Investors should keep an eye on any potential consolidation phases, which could present attractive entry points for those looking to capitalize on PayPal’s continued success in both the traditional and digital finance spaces.
PayPal Recovering 42% From Recent LowsStrategic partnerships between major companies like PayPal and Adyen are enhancing consumer convenience with their new project, Fastlane by PayPal. Aimed at revolutionizing the checkout process for U.S. enterprise and marketplace users, Fastlane combines PayPal and Adyen's technologies to streamline guest checkout, significantly reducing purchase completion time.
A key feature of Fastlane is its ability to remember users' payment and shipping details, facilitating quicker future transactions. According to PayPal's data from April to June 2024, Fastlane increased checkout conversion rates by over 80% and decreased checkout time by 32% compared to traditional methods, indicating a boost in customer satisfaction and retention.
Adyen, recognized for its extensive fintech solutions, is the first payment processor partnering in the Fastlane initiative, which supports PayPal’s goal of global expansion. The service now includes more payment options like Venmo and various Buy Now, Pay Later schemes, accessible worldwide through Adyen’s platform, enhancing payment flexibility.
The introduction of Fastlane might influence the financial sector and stock market, especially considering PayPal's stock recovery signs after a significant drop. Strategic developments such as Fastlane could be crucial for further growth as the stock challenges major resistance levels.

$PYPL | Allocated & Watchlist | Buy Limit & Buy Stop |Technical Confluences:
- Stochastics are in Overbought conditions in the Daily Timeframe
- Price is close to the top of the Parallel Channel and is currently in the Interest Zone
- Price action bounced off the Mid of the Parallel Channel which strengthens a bullish trend
- Fundamental Confluences:
- Paypal is considered a market leader in digital payments space due to its extensive network, brand recognition and services
- Revenue has been constantly increasing every quarter but lacking in revenue growth
- Better EPS, good FCF and reduced operating expenses are good storylines
- However, digital payment systems are facing alot of competition these days and Paypal being one of the initial pioneers will definitely need to step up and conquer back this space
-----
I have previously allocated into Paypal previously at 58.80 (when it was bouncing off the 78% Fibo retracement line.
I am still watching to continue to build up my NASDAQ:PYPL allocation. I will be looking to add more in the higher Buy Limit zone if the price breaks the Parallel Channel and goes above the Interest Zone.
I will also look into buying again close to the 61% and 78% Fibo line; assuming price cannot break the parallel channel this round and retrace backs down.
Will continue monitoring it.

Technical Analysis on PayPal (PYPL)PayPal ( PYPL ) has experienced a medium-term negative trend, losing over 80% from its 2021 highs. This downtrend developed after the formation of a Double Top chart pattern.
Currently, the price is near a key resistance area at $70 (marked as Res 1), highlighted in purple. In the past, this zone acted as support (green arrows), and more recently, it has been serving as resistance, with the price being rejected twice (red arrows).
In the short term, the stock is showing a slightly positive formation, with an ascending triangle pattern taking shape. Additionally, the price is positioned above the main Point of Control (POC), considering the entire volume history.
Bullish Scenario:
To confirm a bullish scenario, the stock needs to break above the $70 resistance area (Res 1). If successful, it could progressively reach $100 and subsequently $120. Above this level, there are inefficient zones with low volume where the stock could potentially extend further.
Bearish Scenario:
If the stock fails to break the first resistance and falls below the POC area, it could resume its downtrend, targeting the first support area around $40 in stages.
PayPal (PYPL): Time to Secure Profits After Hitting New HighsWe’ve noticed that PayPal isn’t getting much attention lately, but since our entry, the stock has surged to a new high, the highest since April 2024. However, amidst the potential hype surrounding PayPal, we must remain focused and closely monitor the chart.
The gap from August 2023 has now fully closed, and the RSI is beginning to look concerning. In response, we’ve decided to take some profits off the table and raise our stop-loss to just below the triple EQL at around $56.88.
With this new stop-loss and the profits we've secured, we’re protected from potential downturns but still positioned to look for another entry in PayPal.
Stay tuned for updates on the next possible setup. ✅

This collaboration is poised to significantly boost PayPal’s revenue, potentially adding 1-1.5 billion USD to its transaction margin. This strategic alliance strengthens PayPal’s competitive edge in the online payments sector and sets the stage for expansion both in the US and globally.
Financial experts project a potential increase in PayPal’s stock value, targeting a near-term price of 90 USD, bolstered by the operational benefits and enhanced market positioning derived from the partnership with Adyen.
Technical analysis of PayPal Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PYPL)
Examining potential trading opportunities based on recent movements in PayPal’s stock:
Timeframe : Daily (D1)
Current trend : the stock has exited the descending channel present since mid-2022, signalling a potential end to the medium-term bearish trend
Key resistance level : initially at 68.00 USD, which has been surpassed with consolidation above this point
First target : 78.00 USD, with a breakout above this level potentially leading towards 90.00 USD
RSI indicator : the breakdown of the resistance line on the RSI supports a bullish outlook

PayPal | PYPL | Long at $64.00From a technical analysis perspective, PayPal NASDAQ:PYPL is in the early stages of a potential downward trend reversal/stabilization based on my selected simple moving averages. With a current P/E of 15x, recent earnings beat, low debt, and earnings growth potential/estimates, PayPal is in a personal buy zone at $64.00.
Target #1 = $72.00
Target #2 = $85.00
Target #3 = $93.00
Target #4 = $117.00
Paypal - LongYou could take a shot on Paypal here, we are taking a small position. Here is why:
Bullish Variables
- We have broken out of a bullish wedge and successfully backtested the breakout.
- It is showing accumulation, with the higher low and now same low.
- It survived earnings - impressing.
- Indicators showing bullish convergence and volume is slightly increasing.
- Easy to size up, clear stop loss, below our level we are looking for 40$
Why we remain cautious and are opening a small position
- It is still below key support, in the middle of a range. For the best chances you want assets that are above their levels.
- Although the indicators aren't bearish, they aren't showing bullish divergence either.
- Paypal has been in a bearish trend since 2021, you'd want to trade assets that are in a trend.
Overall it looks ok, hence why we are long, but an asset like BABA is far stronger technically, so if it was an option of the two I'd go with the latter.
PayPal’s Stellar Q2 Report: Revenue & Earnings Beat ExpectationsPayPal Holdings (PYPL) has reported impressive second-quarter results, with earnings and revenue surpassing analyst expectations. The digital payments giant’s robust performance has led to a positive market response, with its stock climbing over 7% following the announcement. Here’s an in-depth look at PayPal’s Q2 achievements, strategic moves, and future prospects under the leadership of new CEO Alex Chriss.
Q2 Financial Highlights
- Earnings and Revenue: Under new accounting rules, PayPal’s earnings for Q2 rose 36% to $1.19 per share on an adjusted basis. Revenue increased by 8% to $7.9 billion, exceeding the FactSet consensus of 98 cents per share on $7.82 billion in revenue. This marks a significant turnaround for the company, which had seen its stock fall by 4% in early 2024.
- Transaction Gross Profit: The transaction gross profit grew 6.5% to $3.2 billion, beating analyst estimates by 1%.
- Total Payment Volume (TPV): The total payment volume processed from merchant customers increased by 11% to $416.8 billion, just shy of the $417.5 billion analysts had projected.
Strategic Moves and Leadership Changes
New CEO Alex Chriss has been proactive in steering PayPal towards sustainable growth amidst rising competition from tech giants like Apple and Google. Despite fears of market share erosion, PayPal’s branded checkout business has outperformed, easing competition worries.
- Maintaining Market Share: Chriss highlighted that PayPal has maintained its market share in desktop/web checkouts, which constitute 40-50% of all checkouts, over the past four years despite the competitive landscape.
- Profit Forecast Upgrade: For the second time this year, PayPal has raised its forecast for full-year adjusted profit, now expecting a "low to mid-teens percentage" increase in 2024, up from the "mid-to-high single-digit" growth forecasted in April.
Key Performance Metrics
PayPal’s Q2 results have demonstrated the effectiveness of its strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies:
- Adjusted Earnings Per Share: The company’s adjusted earnings per share rose to $1.19, up from 87 cents in the same period last year.
- Revenue Growth: Revenue climbed 9% to $7.89 billion on a foreign exchange-neutral basis.
- Transaction Margin Dollars: Transaction margin dollars surged by 8% to $3.61 billion, far exceeding expectations of a nearly 1% gain.
- Operating Margins: Adjusted operating margins expanded by 231 basis points to 18.5%, driven by cost-cutting measures and restructuring efforts.
Branded Checkout and Key Business Segments
PayPal’s branded checkout, Braintree, and Venmo have all contributed to the highest transaction margin dollars growth rate since 2021. CFO Jamie Miller emphasized that the company is focusing on high-quality profitable growth, which involves prioritizing higher-margin transactions over sheer volume.
- Branded Checkout Growth: Despite investor concerns, branded checkout grew by approximately 6% in the second quarter.
- Braintree and Venmo: Both platforms have seen significant improvements in profitability and user growth. Venmo, in particular, continues to be a major growth driver.
Future Outlook
Looking ahead, PayPal is betting on the resilience of American consumer spending, especially during key shopping seasons such as back-to-school and the holidays. The company’s strategic focus on maintaining market share, enhancing profitability, and driving user growth is expected to yield positive results.
- Profitability Focus: PayPal’s plan to prioritize high-quality, profitable growth is evident from its strategic moves and financial performance in Q2.
- Market Confidence: The market’s positive response to PayPal’s Q2 earnings report underscores confidence in the company’s ability to navigate competitive pressures and drive long-term growth.
Conclusion
PayPal’s impressive Q2 performance, underpinned by strong earnings, revenue growth, and strategic leadership, has set a positive tone for the rest of 2024. With CEO Alex Chriss at the helm, the company is well-positioned to leverage its strengths, navigate market challenges, and continue delivering value to its shareholders.
As PayPal ( NASDAQ:PYPL ) continues to adapt and innovate in the dynamic digital payments landscape, its focus on high-quality growth and operational efficiency will be crucial in sustaining its competitive edge and achieving long-term success.
PayPal (PYPL) - Approaching Potential Reversal ZonePayPal has reached our anticipated zone for Wave (ii), respecting the $59 to $57 range. The price action suggests a possible bottom formation, making it a candidate for a potential entry point.
Key observations indicate that the support and reversal zone between $59 and $57 has held and build an EQL there, indicating a possible end to the correction phase. If the price revisits the Point of Control, it could offer another attractive entry point for long-term positions.
However, PayPal remains in a range, making the situation somewhat risky as it hasn't broken out decisively yet. There is a risk that the price could revisit the lower bound around $55.77. Falling below this level would invalidate our bullish outlook.
We are monitoring PayPal closely and will consider entering long positions if the current support holds and the price action confirms a reversal. The Point of Control remains a key level to watch for another potential entry.
Bullish on PayPalNarrowed down my entry with Paypal.
After multi-timeframe analysis, I'm looking to hold this bad boy.
Exit as you wish, I mentioned some key levels in the vid.
Enjoy the background noise from my mom and my mother in-law in the background 😂 They're whippin up some breakfast before we go out to explore El Salvador
PayPal Holdings (PYPL): Will $55.77 Hold?At the request of one of our members, we're taking a closer look at PayPal Holdings, which we haven't reviewed for a while. PayPal is currently in a sideways movement, respecting the top of Wave ((ii)) at $68.21. Although there was a wick above this level, no significant breakthrough has occurred.
We have developed a bearish divergence with the RSI, indicating potential downward pressure. While still within this range, we expect the price to eventually sell off towards the Point of Control and the 78-88.2% Fibonacci retracement levels, potentially completing Wave ((ii)).
It is crucial that the price does not fall below the range low of $55.77. If it does, we could see levels around $50 to $52. As long as the price remains above $55.77, we are considering this range for potential entry points.
