platinum long Likely to see a consolidation next to this bottom reversal pattern as shown on the the Daily chart on the left.
on the right we see the 4hour chart where the price moves inside a descending channel giving a bullish divergence on the MACD , touching a buy zone of good support that has a bottom on 950 .
XPT SUPER SWING BUYOn the Weekly timeframe, this pair was on a descending trend, but the past year start making Higher Highs and Higher Lows, forming an ascending channel. the past days broke that descending trend line and the top of the ascending channel, made a retest of that lines and a resistance zone. Right now the price is bouncing on a strong resistance, but i think that got the strenght to broke that resistance, beacuse we got more confirmations to go long. To enter on a super swing trade we will wait to a close of the mentioned resistance zone, and wait for a formation of corrective structure on a lower timeframe to get the full confirmations that the price is going up.

Platinum has just broken a 12 year downtrendA 12 year downtrend in platinum has just been broken. Initial targets are $1300 per oz and we will then take a view once this has been met.
PLG up on heavy volumePLG jumping today with volume of selling minimal and large recent buying by hedge funds and private investors. Can only hope for repeat of 2014.

Plat is one where you have a falling wedge that could develop and a break above the upper trendline that could be of interest. For now its choppy and the risk is in the immediate future since we're still declining in the longtime time frame and that will continue to fall to the downsie (ownside break). Lets see what happens with Platinum Commercials were in very heavy short positions. Now we are back to the zone before they got long before. Will this price interest them? Lets see if we can beat them this COT Friday..
IMO.... This is just a small bounce in a longer downtrend. Though this time last year we were very close to 1000. So I am torn.In the meantime- I will surly play the counter trade opportunities.

Platinum- The rocket you wish you hopped on. After slicing the charts 100x different ways I am extremely bullish. Some of these targets are far out of reality, and don't make sense. By 2025 it will. But for the time being the gains shown are just approximations of where price will be somewhere in time. I did not incorporate how long it would take to get there. This is by no means financial advice, just some thoughts on a PRECIOUS metal thats a SAFE HAVEN, called PRECIOUS METAL, and they are PRECIOUS. For oh SO many reasons.
Platinum Long playXPT still has lot of resistance to clear. First thing to clear is the 200ema. We broke out of the short term triangle, We are at lows from 2009 which act as support. RSI is showing some bullish hl and hh. An option is to long on the retest of the short term triangle. This trade would be a half year-year hold.
Platinum LongPlatinum to Palladium ratio at historical low inside a descending terminal wedge. Key signal that higher Platinum and lower Palladium prices are due in the next phase of the move.

PLATINUM - Blade RunnerI guess a few of you missed the last weeks' big opportunity in gold. But as you know there is always another trade. In this idea I will show you how this trade can overperform our next gold long trade.
While we are shorting gold and waiting to print a DCL there's always worth looking around the metal sector which will switch from the late runner to a blade runner.
Platinum is an interesting asset.
There were times Platinum was more expensive than gold...
If you watch the comparing idea chart closely you will see that the two metals were moving in the tandem in the past.
In the last intermediate cycle ( highlighted by purple verticals the previous ICLs and red arrows the DCLs) platinum was catching up only in the 3rd daily cycle and it printed the big gains in a few days. As we are preparing to catch gold's DCL it's worth watching platinum also because this time it might rally hard in the 2nd DCL and not the third.
I already started to take positions in platinum.
As I'm shorting gold the margin requirements are quite cheap in a platinum long position. So this is a type of hedge against our gold shorts with platinum longs which probably has much bigger potentials in the second daily cycle than gold.
It might start to run 2-3 days from now - when gold prints its DCL - or it might print an undercut DCL first and start the big rally after that.
I think platinum is going to finish the present intermediate cycle at minimum 1022 maybe higher.
( IMPORTANT : Platinum has higher spreads and higher margin requirements than gold, before you buy check it with your broker, or start a smaller position)
I'm liking Platinum HereIt showing a little bullishness near a nice demand zone, a simple ABC would put us at about $844 Target right near a long-term resistance.
Platinum 2 Week ForecastWish I had published this sooner, as I absolutely nailed today’s massive price action.
I’m entering a partial position to hedge against the possibility that we don’t revisit the 790’s and low 800’s. If we do though I will buy a lot more.
Without a pullback its a 6% profit, with the pullback its 9%. Decent little trade.
