WTI & BRENT: Santa was very nice to us this year! (MOVE ↑ of $2)Hello.
My name is Francois Normandeau.
Here is a quick recap of today's trade on West Texas intermediate on the left and Brent oil
on the right we can see that we had an entry here on the short term momentum indicator.
The close of the trade is when either one of those two indicators leave the by zone.
So this happen here at 12:23 p.m.
And price was 4828. So in the end this one from 46:29. To 4828
This main trade lasted about 10 hours and a half.
A move up of about $2 on us oil and $1.85 on Brent… a substantial move.
We can see here move confirm on this modified ADX indicator here.
One move, one leg, consolidation, second move, the second leg, so we can see this here this up move is here
and then a consolidation and then a second up move, which is this one here and we see the same thing on Brandt on the other side.
We have the signal for an entry on the short term momentum indicator here and a second signal for an entry on this midterm momentum indicator here and the signal for the close here when we see one of those two indicators leave the buy zone
.
This would have been I've been the close of the trade and the same logic applies to Brent for the entry for a trade here.
A second signal can be seen here and the signal for the end of the trade here, confirmed.
So quick recap on a very interesting trading day today.
My name is Francois Normandeau and I will post more information on our website ADX-BRIEFING.
Thanks.
Take care and have a good week.
Merry Christmas to you and those you love.

💭 €4,300 In my sleep 💤 (recap)last night we executed a few trades prior to the New York market close and before we went to sleep, this morning many of those trades were in profit and one trade reached its Stop Loss while the other reached its Take profit.
- FTSE SELL / STOP LOSS
- XAGUSD SELL / TAKE PROFIT
While the other trades, such as AUDUSD and GBPUSE were in a decent profit.
Since the target of this account is 10% a day, the account has reached its target before we even started trading for the day!
Questions are welcome and good luck!
XAUUSD Short 10k recapHere's a quick recap of how we shorted XAUUSD this morning at the London open and banked over 10k profit.
We traded a reversal in price coming to the 30% of the fib retracement, from the recent high to the recent low, RSI was up at the 70 level and it was all connected with a trendline.
This is a classic example of the trade setups we take.
Questions are welcome and will all be answered.
EURNZD Trade Recap, Analysis, Management
Hi everyone:
In this quick educational video, I will go over my 2 trades in EURNZD short. What was my analysis, management and thoughts on this bearish run.
I will always start my analysis from the HTF, looking at what the price action is telling me will give me a better edge to enter higher probability setups. I want the HTF to be clear on the bias that I have on the direction.
Then, using multi-time frame analysis, looking at what the LTF is telling you. Is it showing you the same price action like the HTF bias ?
Wait for the market to give you the confirmation, i.e. continuation corrections, reversal price action structure, LTF impulses...etc that will give you the confidence to enter a trade.
Manage the trade accordingly, move the SL to BE in profits depending on the strategies and style.
Don't get emotional about the result of the trade, rather if you follow your plan, and you made the decision based on what the market and price action is telling you .
Then, repeat consistently for every month, year. :)
Thank you

Why I KNEW Airlines Are Going Green On The Open?- 06/11/20 RECAPHi traders,
Market was going down strongly on Thursday, sadly I mistimed some of my trader or didn't take profit when I had the chance.
But apart from that I'm telling you why I knew the airlines weren't going down from the open but rather up, despite gapping down significantly. Next time you see a situation like this it can save or even MAKE you money!

Reversing PAYS OFF!! - 05/01/20 RECAPHi traders,
The other day I posted a reverse entry which happened to be a loser as well, but I told you it typically pays off.
On Friday I got to prove it when WDC didn't react the way I planned and that got me thinking if the other direction wasn't a better idea... and it was!
The Trades:
1) WDC - SHORT @38.73 - terrible fill at the break of 39, in hindsight I should've at least reduced the position right away to compensate. -0.96%
2) MRNA - LONG @49.58 - good break of a strong stock, it went some 60c in the money but then collapsed. With different risk management style it would pay off, but that's just my choice and I'm not upset at all. -0.93%
3) WDC - LONG @39.85 - and finally my reverse play that didn't deliver as much as I hoped for, but still proved to be the correct way to think about the stock. +1.2%
*In my ID trades, I risk 1% of the account per trade and go for 2% (2:1 RRR ). Sometimes I adapt a little bit as you can see in the trades' description.*

I Could Have Been Green - But At What Risk? - 04/29/20 RECAPHi traders,
A slightly negative day on Wednesday which could've been a winner had I held one of my Long trades for long enough. In the video you'll find my reasoning why I left early though and statistically, this was the right decision.
Focus on the long run, not on the flashy bragging rights!
The Trades:
1) HAL - LONG @10.32, exited earlier as the stock didn't react at all to uptrending market. +1.06%
2) SIX - LONG @21.09, beautiful triangle breakout was immediately stopped and turned. My idea was to reverse the position which I did. -1%
3) SIX - SHORT @20.52, reverse trade that typically works in failed breakouts higher like this. However, today it did not. -1%
*In my ID trades, I risk 1% of the account per trade and go for 2% (2:1 RRR ). Sometimes I adapt a little bit as you can see in the trades' description.*
Total PnL for the day: -0.94%
Total PnL for the week: -0.05%

BORING But According To Plan - DT RECAP 04/23/20 (& Today's WL)Hi traders,
Thursday was really boring for me since I'm still on my "recovery" plan I discussed in yesterday's recap. So I only trade the best shots and try to stay green at the end of each day albeit very little. Thursday could be a prime example of this approach. Just one, slow-moving trade that I had to get early from due to massive SPY spike down.
Half a percent, but still up!
Just one lonely trade:
1) NYSE:HAL - LONG @8.68, it lost steam and I exited prematurely when SPY dropped 4 points. +0.5%
*In my ID trades, I risk 1% of the account per trade and go for 2% (2:1 RRR ). Sometimes I adapt a little bit as you can see in the trades' description.*
Total PnL for the day: +0.5%
Total PnL for the week: +2.94%
Good trades,

Marrying the Trade is BAD :( - Daytrading RECAP 04/15/20Hi traders,
It looks like I celebrated too early! Not being able to short ICD and one mistake put me back into negative for the week. But that's life!
*In my ID trades, I risk 1% of the account per trade and go for 2% (2:1 RRR ). Sometimes I adapt a little bit as you can see in the description.*
Three trades today:
1) DAL - LONG half position @25.23, aerolines crumbled from that point on. -0.41%
2) IVZ - LONG @9.09, eventually followed the market down. -0.85%
3) OXY - SHORT @13.34, it fought HARD but didn't make it to my full target and I was too stubborn to close it. -0.93%
How you guys did today?
Total PnL for the day: -2.19%
Total PnL for the week: -1.33%

Daytrading RECAP 04/08/20 - 3 Longs & 1 Short for +1.6%!Hi traders,
Tom with another recap here.
*In my ID trades, I risk 1% of the account per trade and go for 2% (2:1 RRR ). Sometimes I adapt a little bit as you can see in the description.*
I switched to video recaps so you can see the charts in greater detail. Let me know if you like it!
Four trades today:
1) UPS - LONG @95.04, stopped out at 94.27 for a little under -1%
2) T - SHORT @29.62, closed half at 2:1 and the rest at B/E (messed that up). Total profit a bit over +1%
3) NVAX - LONG @16.75, closed half at 2:1 and let the rest run some more, closed just before 18 for a total of +2.5%!
4) PINS - LONG @16.9, the stock couldn't hold the pressure and collapsed into my SL @16.4 for -1%
Total PnL for the day: +1.6%
Total PnL for the week: +2.05%
In hindsight, I left money on the table with T and should've reversed PINS after it stopped me out and showed big pressure to the downside.
Mistakes are great teachers for your trading, learn to accept them and work with them!
Good trades and let me know how your Wednesday trading went!
