Sidewaybounce
NZDJPY - Bullish BatThe Bullish Bat setup could allow counter-trend traders to engage in the trade. Before you get all excited on the Bat Pattern on the 1-hourly timeframe and potential sideway bounce setup on the 4-hourly timeframe(related ideas within tradingview post).
The Bearish Crab Pattern that was completed at the HOP level is a valid setup and it had hit its first target and moved beyond its first target. There is a certain level of risk to engage this trade.
(Episode #555) AUDCAD - Sideway BounceAlthough this is not my usual Sideway Bounce setup, I do recognise that the market has created an important support level for trend traders who are looking for buying opportunities to jump right into it.
Since the setup is on the 1hourly chart, 8 am (GMT+8) is a good time to look at this setup for further confirmation.
USDJPY-Weekly Market Analysis-May22,Wk2USDJPY has lots of interesting trading opportunity. Start off with the 1st zone of the staircase formation.
The Green Zone(1st Zone) you can wait for shorting opportunity at the top of the box and buying opportunity at the bottom of the box.
The second chance to engage the trade is when the market retest the trendline but fail to break and close below it.
The third chance entry for trend traders would be the Bullish Shark Pattern setup that completes at 124.30.
Which setup do you prefer?

USDJPY-Weekly Market Analysis-Mar22,Wk2On 3Mar22, I've posted the Type2 Bearish Shark Trading Opportunity. In that post, I named the movement Shark Tank. You can see the movement of 103pips has been made. Interestingly, the market stops and respects the level that I've plotted. This is not by chance but by having a solid foundation in chart analysis. (You can check the Related Ideas within the TradingView post)
There is a possibility to earn the 103pips movement by reversing the trade. I will wait for a double bottom with RSI Divergence on the 1-hourly chart before engaging the trade.
Any idea why that is important?

GBPUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Nov21,Wk2I'm waiting for a double bottom to complete at 1.3446 for a buying opportunity, as long as it never breaks and closes below 1.3419, it will be alright for me to head in for a buying opportunity.
I'm into this double bottom trading opportunity, partly is because on the daily chart the market is showing a sideway bounce setup, and this is 1 of my favourite trading setup.
GBPUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Oct21,Wk5On the daily chart, GBPUSD has a Bearish Channel, that's great news for trend traders and trend following traders.
For Counter-Trend traders, the 1-hourly chart has a pretty good setup for a buying opportunity.
If you have seen my video analysis, you would have known that I prefer to apply my sideway bounce trading strategy on GBPUSD over EURUSD and 1 of the many reasons is that it has a less trending nature than EURUSD.
Buying Opportunity at 1.3742 and Selling Opportunity at 1.3832.
EURUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Oct21,Wk5On the daily chart, EURUSD has broken and closed below the support. However, the 1-hourly chart, it presents a different view.
There are 2 potential development over here
1) A sideway bounce setup that gives selling opportunity on the red line and buying opportunity on the blue line 43pips opportunity on the 1-hourly chart is not too bad.
2) If the candle breaks and closes above 1.1666, then a Bullish Flag Pattern would complete. However, it is a rather weak Flag Pattern caused by the retracement move on the 1st move. What intrigue me is the completion of the assumed Flag Pattern ends before the Key Resistance Level at 1.1683.
Let's see how this trade pans out.
GBPUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Oct21,Wk1On a bigger picture, GBPUSD is also on a sideway bounce setup but what it is very different from EURUSD is that GBPUSD respected the structure better than EURUSD and GBPUSD is at its Weekly Support Level.
Traders who are looking to short GBPUSD can wait for a Bearish Shark Pattern complete at 1.3790 for a shorting opportunity as a trend trading trade.
GBPUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Aug21,Wk3A Bearish Shark Pattern has shown up and is complete at 1.3952 which is nicely seated within the consolidation zone between 1.3947-1.3957.
However, that Harmonic Pattern will not be the immediate trading opportunity. What you can expect on Monday market open will be the sideway bounce setup between 1.3878-1.3799. A double top with RSI Divergence and a 3 point reversal would suffice.
EURUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Jul21,Wk5Don't underestimate the earning potential when the market is moving sideways, always assess the market before giving up on the trading setup.
What if I tell you that this bounce has a 60pips range?
Now, will you be interested?
I'm waiting for a retest at 1.1759 for a buying opportunity.
GBPUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Jul21,Wk4GBPUSD has a sideway bounce formation on the 1-hourly chart but I would say the EURJPY sideway bounce setup is a better setup, check out my trade-ideas profile for the setup.
On GBPUSD a minimum setup will be a Double Bottom with RSI Divergence for me to engage a buying opportunity.
Conservative traders will place stop-loss below the low of the circled shadow.
GBPUSD-Weekly Market Analysis-Jun21,Wk3I hope you didn't miss the trade that I've shared last week on the Double Bottom retracement trade, it bring in a good 80pips run which is 800USD/lot traded(link at the bottom). Well, this week trading idea is simple, wait for buying opportunity on the blue line and shorting opportunity on the red line.
You can check out my student's view on the link below(within tradingview).
GBPJPY - Bearish Bat on Sideway BounceA bearish Bat Pattern appears on the 4-hourly sideway bounce formation. I've almost missed this trade as there's a gap down with a different candle on Point C that's painted on my Live Trading Account on my MT4. It is a good practice to cross-check your charts on Monday especially when there is a gap, these are good practices of a trader.
I've engaged the trade as the trading setup gives a very tight stop with a great profit projection.
GBPJPY: Sideway BounceHaving a sideway bounce setup before market close for Xmas, pose 2 possibilities, a break and close above or a reversal trade.
The opportunist can look for a shorting opportunity as it gives great Rewards and the conservatives traders can wait for a bearish engulfing as a further confirmation to engage the trade.
Which is your profile?
USDJPY-Weekly Market Analysis-Dec20,Wk3While USDJPY has a bearish overcast, it does give counter-trend traders a buying opportunity once the market has extended towards the support level of the sideway bounce formation.
I'll be waiting for a double bottom with RSI Divergence to engage the trade at 103.72. If the trade was engaged, 103.94 will be the level that I will watch closely if a break and close above happen at the level.
USDJPY-Weekly Market Analysis-Dec20,Wk2USDJPY has moved from symmetrical triangle(link at bottom) to sideway bounce setup. The two ends of it, resistance level at 104.69 and support level at 103.72 will be the area of my interest to engage trading opportunity within the box. The major restrain comes in at 104.20 which happen to be the midpoint of the 2 levels.
The RSI overbought(shorting opportunity) and oversold(buying opportunity) will be an important filter for the trading opportunity.
