Kamala Leads, Solar Stocks Shine Again?I'm closely watching the solar sector again, especially stocks like NASDAQ:FSLR , NASDAQ:ENPH , and $RUN.
After the Trump/Biden debate, solar stocks plummeted because it looked like Trump might win. But now, with Kamala Harris running, the odds have shifted her way, and I'm optimistic about the sector since she's likely to support clean energy like Biden did.
These solar stocks have been stable over the last month compared to tech.
First Solar has strong financials, Enphase has solid earnings and big potential, and Sunrun just teamed up with Tesla.
Definitely worth watching all three, in my opinion.

MAXN : SWING TRADE / SCALPINGMaxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. designs, manufactures, markets, and sells solar panels and related solar system components worldwide. The company provides interdigitated back contact and shingled solar cells and panels under the SunPower brand. It offers its products to dealers, project developers, system integrators, distributors, resellers, and residential and small-scale commercial customers. Maxeon Solar Technologies, Ltd. was incorporated in 2019 and is headquartered in Singapore.
First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) and Maxeon Solar Technologies (MAXN) were upgraded to Buy from a Sell rating at Goldman Sachs. The investment bank pointed to the tax-and-climate bill signed last month by President Biden as a key driver for the U.S. solar industry.
The law has incentives for the biggest investment in energy-efficient products in U.S. history. It sets aside $21 billion for rebates and federal tax deductions for energy-saving improvements to people’s homes in the next 10 years.
“Simply put, we see stocks with U.S. leverage and/or U.S.-based manufacturing as fundamentally best positioned, and we take a deeper dive look at where valuation would suggest further upside exists,” Brian Lee, analyst at Goldman Sachs, said in the Sept. 7 note.
The bank also updated earnings estimates and price targets for the solar companies in its coverage.

ENPH recharged & potential in its explosive upside actionHighlighted previously, two months ago, ENPH exploded 50% to the upside against the major market move. Then it went into a consolidation phase for a month, and it appears to have broken out of a flag pattern. And by pattern projection, there is another potential 25-30% upside to this move.
The daily chart shows the breakout and possible engagement point (white arrow) in July. This came with favourable technicals where the MACD and RPM crossed over.
A clear consolidation phase started in August and a descending range formed the flag. This week saw the star of an attempt to breakout and yesterday was a major move to the upside with momentum (8% bullish marubozu) and broke out of the flag. Another potential entry point is at breakout point (white arrow).
With this, the flag pole (yellow arrow) can be used to project the upside target. At the moment, both the technical indicators RPM and MACD are supportive as they cross over their respective MA lines.
Upside target by flag pattern projection is 406.
Out of pure interest and curiosity , I wanted to analyze the effect of this Gann box which I recently find interesting. So it was "force fitted" into the price action, where the first 0.25 of the time axis measured the flag pole rally. This fitted to the start of the consolidation flag. The height of the initial rally was set at the 0.5 level.
The outcome was rather interesting...
at 0.75 of the timeline, spot-on the breakout occurs.
and the projected remainder of the 0.5 also approximates the upside target at 420 (as opposed to the flag pole projection at 406)
For Gann practitioners, please do enlighten.... thanks in advance!
Breakout Trade in CSIQCSIQ is a market leader in today’s #1 sector - solar energy.
Shares soared over 60% between July and August as solar stocks came front and center as a leading theme in the market recovery. The 200-day moving average has begun sloping upward, putting CSIQ at the beginning of a new Stage 2 uptrend (see my previous post on the 4 Stages of the Stock Cycle).
The pink dots on the relative strength line on top of the chart signal new RS highs being made by CSIQ. In other words, the stock has held up better than the general market over the last couple weeks.
I’d like to see Tuesday’s action stay inside of Friday’s range to post a true inside day. If that happens, I will look to buy on a breakout above the Friday candle at 46.25.
ARRY - Array TechnologiesTop notch stock in the best group in the market right now (solar). Holding up well during the recent pullback in the broad market. It won't be able to buck the trend forever, but if the market as a whole begins to bounce or even just stabilize itself, it could allow this (and the other solar stocks) to really take off. The other two solar stocks on my focus list are SHLS & ENPH which arguably have cleaner setups, but the massive growth numbers draw me back to ARRY.

MMAT Levels To Watch Right NowNot much happening with major Fib levels for MMAT however, that 200DMA seems to be acting as a potential level of support after falling below the 786 fib line. Meanwhile, there seems to be a level of resistance around $5 that has been the case several times over the last few months. The big question now is will the 200 hold this week?
Also have the SC13 G from last week to keep in mind. Nova Scotia Innovation Corporation (Operating as: Innovacorp) reported a 4.399 % stake in the company. This was an amended 13G and if you look back at the one posted on 7/7, you'll see Innovacorp reported a 6.558 % stake.
Where is Enphase Energy Moving Next?Enphase Energy NASDAQ:ENPH is coming off an excellent month of June 2021, up over 30% and 82% YTD. Now, we sit about 30-days from earnings with the street estimating an EPS of $0.42.
Is there another period of time where ENPH faced a similar situation and chart pattern? Yes, from mid-September 2020, until mid-October 2020, ENPH ran up over 63% and reached its peaks about 30-days before earnings.
Looking back at the chart could help us understand where ENPH might be heading during July 2021.
Solar and energy storage stocks have been heating up as governments push climate agendas including possible tax credits for each stage of the solar manufacturing supply chain, tax credits for homeowners to install solar power, and other possible incentives and initiatives.
Another company that has benefitted from the current environment is Generac Holdings NYSE:GNRC . They also had an amazing month of June 2021, up over 26% and 84% YTD. Sure, with GNRC the weather plays a role as they sell many generators, but they are also ramping up on their energy storage solutions just like ENPH.
ENPH has a premium micro-inverter product and a growing energy storage business. This has given many analysts reason to place a buy rating on ENPH.
Now looking back at the chart. Comparing the two time periods, then and now, you can see that after the runup in 2020, ENPH consolidated up until earnings were released, and for about 7-days thereafter. Then, there was a spike in volume setting off a bull run that finished the year of 2020 and pushed the stock even higher into 2021. This rally set a new all-time high on January 7th, then another all-time high of $229 on February 10th (right when earnings were released).
Next, we had the great tech rotation sending any stock related to technology lower over the next 90-days. ENPH hit its low of $108 on May 11th. Since reaching the May 11th low, ENPH has climbed 73%, just another 18% and ENPH will be hitting a new ATH.
Now, here's what you came for. Where is ENPH moving next? Well, if history can be our guide, and yes, history doesn't repeat, history rhymes, then we should expect ENPH to start consolidating with a mix of green and red days until earnings. One thing on the chart that is different this time around is lower volume. Now after earnings are released it's anyone's guess. A beat on earnings could push ENPH to new all-time highs and a miss could give long-term investors a great entry point on a stock currently trading at a premium.
Now I will hand it off to you. Where do you think Enphase Energy is moving next?
