Why? ...you might ask
Because the past predicts the future with some of these stocks. NERV happens to have a unique and fun pattern.
This stock absolutely has a defined pattern that has been getting more aggressive over time.
I didn't reach back further than the PIPE...it MAY even pre-exist the PIPE.
PIPE - basically a modified Cup&Handle where the handle is at an Angle upwards. The PIPE has the flattest, slowest handle.
LADLE - handle gets steeper (the really good technical analysts saw something they liked)
SOUP SPOON - surely, tech-ies flaunted their secret knowledge when it worked out well for them. Those of us less gifted simply copied their homework. Many more people caught on. Handle was at a much more aggressive angle with a fantastic pay-off.
Then something unexpected happened...NERV had a BIG setback with their prize product. It didn't make it across the finish line as was expected. The final Clinical Trial results revealed that it was not effective enough.
It took a nose-dive...from 16 to 3...seemingly ruining its unique little pattern
