Trade report of 25-5-2023Today's news from the US:
USD Prelim GDP q/q Is now 1.3% Expectation 1.1% Was 1.1%.
USD Unemployment Claims Is Now 229K Expectation 249K Was 225K.
The GDP and claims are higher than expected and that is positive for the Dollar. The first is the value of all new goods and services and the second number: The number of people who applied for unemployment benefits for the first time in the past week. With the second number in particular, it is important to mention that the expectation was higher than what ultimately applied for a benefit. That means there is plenty of work. This may have consequences for the interest rate that the FED will soon set.
This change directly affects Dollar pairs such as EURUSD. But it has an effect on Gold.
Oil is also going short today but that's because of concerns about demand from China, while Russia's oil minister said next month's OPEC+ meeting is unlikely to end with further production cuts. The first is value-enhancing, but the second now prevails and makes sure oil goes short.
Today we did the actions:
#GBPAUD : something to pick up today. Our rating system has the following information: +3, or a buy recommendation after adding up all categories. First, let's take a look at what institutional traders are buying or selling. We can see that the GBP has a long percentage of 54.43% and we see that the AUD has a long percentage of 31.05%. This category gets a +1, as institutional traders prefer GBP.
If we look at GBPAUD, we see that retailers are 13% long and 87% short. Currently, the GBPAUD gets a value of +1 in this category. If we look at seasonality, we get a score of +1. What this tells us is that based on historical data, this market tends to rise this month. Mind you, the next month it will be completely the other way.
Trend measurement is based on the daily chart, using the 5, 8 and 21 exponential moving average. The more "aligned" they are, the stronger the trend up or down. In this case, we have a score of +2.
Finally, let's look at the basics. GDP growth is favorable for the AUD, inflation is favorable for the AUD, unemployment is favorable for the AUD, and interest rates are favorable for the GBP. We have therefore placed a buy at 1.89620 with a target of 1.91540. We don't take much risk because there are also going to be CPI figures.

AUD/USD LONG FROM SUPPORT
Hello,Friends!
AUD/USD is trending up which is clear from the green colour of the previous weekly candle. However, the price has locally plunged into the oversold territory. Which can be told from its proximity to the BB lower band. Which presents a classical trend following opportunity for a long trade from the support line below towards the supply level of 0.662.

Trade report of 23-5-2023Today, the manufacturers have released figures from the Euro zone. These were negative while the services sector was positive again. In any case, it puts pressure on the Euro. The US PMI has a negative effect on the Dollar. Further positions:
#EURJPY : this morning our 1st buy was stopped. We had put the stoploss sharply under the course. The second buy at 150,120 we keep instant.
#GOLD : is in a down trend and it seems that this will remain for the time being. Of course, this all has to do with the stronger Dollar.
#Oil : we have crossed the channel and see that Oil is coming back in the range of 73 and 80. Our rating system gives the following signal: +4, i.e. a buy recommendation after adding up all categories. First, let's take a look at what institutional traders are buying/selling. We can see that institutions are 70.61% long and 29.39% short. This category receives a COT score of 1.
If we look at seasonality, we get a score of +1. What this tells us is that based on historical data, this market tends to rise this month.
Trend measurement is based on the daily chart, using the 5, 8 and 21 exponential moving average. The more "aligned" they are, the stronger the trend up or down. In this case, we have a score of +2. Finally, let's look at the basics. The index experienced lower GDP growth, inflation was lower than in the previous report, unemployment was lower this month and interest rates are lower than last time. We put a buy on 73,755 with the target, the other end of the channel 79,732.

USDCHF: Rejection on the 1D MA50. Sell. The USDCHF pair got rejected on Friday on the 1D MA50 and is extending those losses today. The long term pattern is a Channel Down and the currently neutral 1D time frame technically (RSI = 49.936, MACD = -0.001, ADX = 19.890) suggests that this is a strong sell entry. You can target S1 but we are willing to go marginally lowe on S2 (TP = 0.87610) based on the January bearish fractal.

Trade report of 23-5The Dollar is soaring again today. On Friday, the Dollar took another step in the place, but today the up-trend continues. Still, the EURUSD seems to be getting interesting for a buy again. And with that, the pair takes a different position than the movement of the Dollar.
#EURUSD : we are going to keep an eye on this in the coming day. If the up-trend continues, we will put a buy in.
EURJPY : we capped the buy at 150,116. At that point, a new buy starts.
#EURCHF : On Friday, the pair went down. Today's recovery needs to be stronger to put in a new buy. We have already put a buy at 0.97830.
#EURCAD : our rating system gives a negative opinion. Still, the pair seems to be taking a different direction. The rating system assesses it on the following points: institutional traders buy/sell. We can see that the EUR has a long percentage of 78.31%, and we see that the CAD has a lung percentage of 28.51%. This category gets a +2, as institutional traders prefer the EUR.
If we look at EURCAD, we see that retailers are 81% long and 19% short. We consider this information most useful when a market is extremely read by retailers. If the shoppers are 60% or more on one side, we get a +1 or -1. Currently, the EURCAD is given a value of -1 in this category. Remember, if the retail crowd is very tall, we look at short, and vice versa.
If we look at seasonality, we get a score of -1. What this tells us is that based on historical data, this market tends to decline this month.
Trend measurement is based on the daily chart, using the 5, 8 and 21 exponential moving average. The more "aligned" they are, the stronger the trend up or down. In this case, we have a score of -2.
Finally, let's look at the basics. GDP growth is favorable for the EUR, inflation is favorable for CAD, unemployment is favorable for CAD, and interest rates are favorable for CAD. We put a buy at 1.46469 with the ultimate target of 1.51022.

Trade report of 19-5-2023Today the Dollar will experience a movement because today at 17:00 Europe time Fed Chair Powell Speaks. He will have to reveal a little more about interest rates and inflation expectations. Now the Dollar has stopped the up-trend. But before the end of this rather quiet week, the Dollar may start to make some weird jumps.
Our actions today:
EURUSD : the signals, which indicate a short that afternoon of this week, are now leveling off. An up-trend has not yet been indicated but we are going there. We do nothing for a while and leave the buy.
EURJPY : a long is indicated on all charts. If we look at this pair from an interest rate perspective, there is more money to be made with the Euro than with the Yen. Therefore, the pair has been running well with an up-trend since May 12. Our positions are solid.
AUDCAD : The Canadian Dollar is falling sharply in every pair despite its fundamental value being in favor of the CAD. Of all the majors, the Aussie is the most interesting and that is why we also put a buy in at 0.90162 with the goal of 0.90844. A short drive.
