AUDUSD: Bearish Stocks and Trend BreakoutHey Traders, in today's trading session we are monitoring AUDUSD for a selling opportunity around 0.66000 zone, AUDUSD was trading in an uptrend and successfully managed to break it out. Currently is in a correction phase in which it is approaching the retrace area at 0.66000 support and resistance zone.
We would like to consider the current bearish bias on stocks, due to the positive correlation AUDUSD should trade under pressure.
Trade safe, Joe.
USD
USD index looks set to hold 102 (for now)US CPI data may not have been as soft as some would have liked, but it retains the view that the Fed will cut rates and achieve a soft landing.
The US dollar index reversed earlier CPI-induced losses to close the day flat on Wednesday and form a small bullish pinbar. Its low almost perfectly respected trend support from the July 2023 low, and shows that demand resides above 102. I suspect the USD index might be in for a small bounce, which could see AUD/USD fall further beneath its 200-day MA (job data pending).
Quite how much of a bounce I am not sure, but these levels do not look favourable for bears. Also note that a small bullish divergence ahs formed on the RSI (14), and RSI (2) is also oversold to suggest bullish mean reversion is due.

Did you miss out on the surprise NZD/USD trade? The Reserve Bank of New Zealand unexpectedly cut interest rates by 25 basis points, sending the New Zealand dollar plunging by 1% against the U.S. dollar. The move caught markets off guard, as most analysts had anticipated the central bank would hold rates steady until at least its next meeting. Today wasn’t supposed to be the day, but these are the moments traders eagerly anticipate to capitalize on sudden market shifts.
The RBNZ's decision underscores a growing trend among central banks, signaling a potential global shift in monetary policy. This early rate cut hints that central banks may be increasingly focused on fostering economic growth and ensuring a soft landing amid weakening economies. The big question now: Will the Federal Reserve follow suit?
The NZD/USD had been on an upward trajectory for nearly two weeks, but that rally has now reversed. The pair has broken above the 200-day moving average and is nearing the 50-day as well. The key support zone around 0.5850, which has held since last September, could now be in play, with a closer pivot point near 0.5980.
GOLD SHORT TO $1,964 (4H UPDATE)Gold is currently hovering around its ATH. I think we will see price consolidate and fluctuate quite a bit around this zone, in order to trap early sellers. After enough sellers have been trapped, only then will we see price shoot up towards a new ATH of $2,516 - $2,540.
This is the zone I will look to start shorting the market again, as we will have seen a Wave 5 completion according to the Elliott Wave Theory.
USDRUB Sell opportunity at the top of the Channel Down. The USDUB pair is on the 2nd straight red candle following yesterday's strong rejection near the top (Lower Highs trend-line) of the 1-year Channel Down. At the same time, the 1D RSI almost broke above the overbought barrier (70.00), a level last visited on April 16 2024.
As a result, we believe that this is the start of the new Bearish Leg of the pattern. Our target is 81.200, representing a -13.49% decline (similar to the previous ones).

AUD/USD Eyes Key Data After Breaking 0.6600AUD/USD Eyes Key Data After Breaking 0.6600
The AUD/USD extended its rally passed the critical 0.6600 mark to hit new three-week highs. Traders now turn their attention to the upcoming Australian Consumer Inflation Expectations and Unemployment.
The pair faces immediate resistance at the 200-day moving average, followed by the 0.668 level. On the downside, initial support could be the 100-day moving average, with further backing at the 50-day moving average.
In the U.S., the spotlight shifts to the July Consumer Price Index (CPI) due Wednesday.
Earlier today, the Producer Price Index (PPI) data showed a 2.2% year-over-year increase for July, down from the 2.7% rise in June. PPI often acts as an early indicator for upcoming CPI inflation.
Market participants are currently pricing in a roughly 54% chance of a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut in September, a probability that could increase following the PPI data.
SELL TRADE SETUP ON USDCHFPotential Trade Setup on USDCHF
Following up on the PPI Data that was released today, the dollar seems to be weak and that happened to have resisted the price of USDCHF from moving higher,
The price is developing, and I am waiting for a break below the support , followed by a sharp retest of the broken support newly used as resistance to go SHORT.
