USDZAR LONG on a Geopolitical and Technical basis #ZAR I have bought USDZAR. FX:USDZAR
Civil unrest has erupted in South Africa after the arrest of former president Jacob Zuma.
The currency pair has been in a downtrend since April 2020 and has just broken the downward channel to the upside.
I prefer trades with such a confluence of factors working in their favor. Let's see how this plays out.

USDZAR Looks Strong Bullish We have seen USDZAR price was falling like Skyfall the last couple of weeks, and all the Bear was enjoying the fall, but now it's Bull time. If you closely see the USDZAR daily time frame, it's already breakout the downtrend channel and creates a good reversal umbrella pattern. Right now, it consolidates the support level, which is good for me for further up. We are expecting to see the price once again 15.20000.
IS USDZAR READY FOR BRERAKOUT? Would love to see a nice breakout, with usd strength chiming in the market.

FALLING WADGE PATTERN price has created a falling wedge pattern and we looking for a bullish reversal

A retracement forming on the 4hr after an
elliot wave formation during a downtrend.
likely reversal into an uptrend after
the full retracement completes.
USDZAR inverted hear and shouldersIf the pair manages to break above the 50-day MA and the downward channel from 2020 (which also lines up satisfyingly with the 100-day MA) we could see a move towards 15.65 and the completion of the inverse head and shoulders pattern. The rand has however been resilient to the broad based dollar gains this week. The MACD also seems to be rolling over which is rand negative.
USDZAR Triple bottom buying opportunityAnyone who has studied chart anatomy will recognise this trading setup, no surprises here. Prices trade within the range three times (We are heading to or are already on our third bottom, preventing future declines. Will the USDZAR price descend below these prices in the foreseeable future? I don't think so, at-least not in a long time.
Am I saying you should buy the USD?? No, I'm saying DYOR.

USDZAR buy activated at CT45LP support.It seems as if we have a nice rejection of the daily lows, rooting for price to pullback to at least 50% of ADR. This could be an easy trade if no hiccups were to happen. Trade was triggered off CT45LP M5 timeframe.
USDZAR H&SLooking like a solid H&S pattern on 4HR forming.
Currently long from 14.80, looking to unload at around 15.12
Will be opening a short position from around 5.18 and will be closing around 14.70
Lets hope this plays out
