VALE
Vale - Breaking Trade 12/3/2024There was a great breakout trade opportunity on Vale's stock, enhanced by a refined entry strategy. The red zone highlights a key support level where the price struggled to break through. Eventually, a breakout occurred with a strong bearish candlestick, confirming sellers' strength. However, instead of entering immediately at the breakout, the ideal entry point would be on the pullback to the red zone.
After the breakout, the price retraced back to the support zone, which then acted as resistance. Notice how the price tested this zone but failed to close above it, indicating that sellers remained in control. The optimal entry would occur when the price breaks below the low of the retracement candle, confirming the continuation of the bearish move.
This approach allows for a more precise entry, reduces risk by setting a stop-loss above the resistance zone, and offers a better reward-to-risk ratio as the trend resumes downward. It’s a textbook example of a breakout-retest setup with confirmation.

A case for long term investment and DCANYSE:VALE Is at an inflection point. It is a stock I have been watching for a long time as it has a nice Elliott wave pattern (If correct)
Here I present the Weekly chart as I consider it for my long term portfolio (3+ years BUY and Hold)
Although the chart presented here looks great (Read: Phenomenal), as an analyst utilising multiple methods, the story does not unfold as easily as I'd like.
As can be seen in the snapshot below there are multiple 'anomalies' still outstanding at those green zones on the magnified weekly chart. They may or may not be filled, but our awareness of them should cause us to move forward with caution.
On the Elliottwave side of things, there are two ways of looking at this. Either the recent top at ~$23 was wave i of 3 of (3) or the top of Primary w(1). If the latter is true then we will likely drop lower in to one of the green bands.
So the question remains - how do we take advantage of this given a drop to just above $3?
1) You can Dollar Cost Average in at each stage distributing your allocated capital
2) Wait for a bounce in a five wave move and enter at the correction for w2 of that bounce. Use the low for a stop loss.
There is no perfect way to manage the unknowns, you can only manage your primary objective, which should be to safeguard your capital -
If you want to know my thoughts on NYSE:VALE and other names give this a boost and follow.
best of luck!

The index is heavily weighted in Financial Services which makes up 33% of the Index. Basic materials form 19% and Energy makes up 15% of the Index allocation. Interestingly NUBank NYSE:NUS has a large c.6% holding within the index. This is a stock I hold that has performed incredibly well and I have shared many bullish charts on NU. Incredible that a relatively New Bank has grown large enough to make it into the top 5 holdings here.
The Top 5 companies in the ILF Index are:
1. Vale S.A. NYSE:VALE : 9.3% Allocation. This company is a global leader in iron ore production and the second-largest nickel producer (Basic Materials).

SUBJECT CHART ABOVE
What jumps from this chart?
▫️ Firstly we appear to forming a long term pennant style flag from which a break up is more likely than a break down.
▫️ We have been rejected from the upper diagonal line repeatedly and if we break above this line it would be a very good indication of an initial trend change.
▫️ We have dashed underside diagonal support line warns of lower prices if broken (historically has been useful).
▫️ We are above the 200 week SMA at present and we are challenging the PointOfControl (POC) Line.
Summary South America 40 Index
As this is a long term pennant style flag from a major increase in price action in the early 2000’s, a break above the long term diagonal resistance line would be a major signal of the beginning of a new bullish trend, keep in mind that such a price move would also demonstrate a break above POC (strong trading range to hold as support). We need to watch the diagonal underside support line (dashed line) for a break lower which would be an indication of significant weakness. Either direction will give us a good signal of how the largest companies in Latin America are performing and by extension South America.
Now lets look at the largest performing country in South America, Brazil.
Brazil
Brazil is the 8th largest economy in the world and the only country in South America to make it into the top 10 world’s economies.
Brazil is the top contributor to South American nominal GDP accounting for 61% of the increase in the South American economy (Int. $264 bn). In 2nd and 3rd place are Colombia (Int. $50 bn) and Peru (Int. $25 bn) with much lower contributions.
Brazil’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the year 2023 grew 2.9% and is expected to grow by c. 2% in 2024, lower is anticipated mainly as a result of the delayed effects of monetary tightening.
Brazil is considered a key financial center for South America. It has the largest economy in the region and is home to a number of significant financial institutions and stock exchanges. São Paulo, in particular, is recognized as the financial capital of Brazil and is a primary hub for international business activity in the country. Brazil is also a leading producer of a host of minerals, including iron ore, tin, bauxite (the ore of aluminum), manganese, gold, quartz, and diamonds and other gems, and it exports vast quantities of steel, automobiles, electronics, and consumer goods.
iShares MSCI Brazil ETF - AMEX:EWZ
The iShares Brazil ETF (EWZ) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of Brazilian equities. The ETF tracks a free float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted index designed to measure the performance of the large- and mid-capitalization segments of the equity market in Brazil. All this means is that Larger companies have a bigger impact on the index’s performance.
The index is heavily weighted in Financial Services which makes up 25% of the Index. Energy at 22% and Basic materials at 16.6% of the Index allocation are 2nd and 3rd after Financial Services.
The Top 5 companies in the ILF Index are:
1. Vale S.A. NYSE:VALE 3.SA : 11.3% Allocation. This is a mining company and one of the largest producers of iron ore and nickel in the world (Basic Materials)
2. Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras $PETR4.SA & $PETR3.SA: 10.1% Allocation. Commonly known as Petrobras, this state-controlled company is involved in the energy sector, primarily focusing on the exploration, production, and distribution of oil and gas (Energy).
3. Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A. $ITUB4.SA: 8.3% Allocation. Itaú Unibanco is one of the largest financial conglomerates in the Southern Hemisphere (Financial Services)
4. Banco Bradesco S.A. $BBDC4.SA: 8.0% Allocation. This is another major player in the Brazilian financial market, offering a wide range of banking and financial services (Financial Services)
5. WEG S.A. $WEGE3.SA: 3.5% Allocation. WEG is an industrial company that operates globally in the electric engineering, power, and automation technology areas (Industrials).
The EWZ Chart
What jumps from this chart?
▫️ Firstly we appear to forming a long term pennant from which a break up is more likely than a break down IMO.
▫️ We have been rejected from the upper diagonal line repeatedly and if we break above this line it would be a very good indication of an initial trend change.
▫️ We have dashed underside diagonal support line warns of lower prices if broken (historically has been useful).
▫️ We have yet to break above the 200 week SMA and we are challenging the PointOfControl (POC) Line.
Summary Brazil Index
A break above the long term diagonal resistance line would be a major signal of the beginning of a new bullish trend, keep in mind that such a price move would also demonstrate a break above POC (strong trading range to hold as support). We need to watch the diagonal underside support line (dashed line) for a break lower which would be an indication of significant weakness. Either direction will give us a good signal of how the largest companies in Brazil are performing and by extension South America (as Brazil is thee major contributor to South America.
Overall
Overall IF the Latin America ETF and the Brazil ETF break out of their respective pennants to higher levels and find support prior diagonal resistance lines, the 200 weekly SMA, and the POC, this could indicate a bullish trend in South America for years to come. It would then be worthwhile to then look at companies within Brazil and South America for trading and investing opportunities.
All these charts are available on my Tradingview Page and you can go to them at any stage over the next few years press play and you'll get the chart updated with the easy visual guide to see how the South America market has performed. I hope its helpful.

VALE Options Ahead of EarningsAnalyzing the options chain and the chart patterns of VALE prior to the earnings report this week,
I would consider purchasing the 12usd strike price Calls with
an expiration date of 2024-6-21,
for a premium of approximately $0.79.
If these options prove to be profitable prior to the earnings release, I would sell at least half of them.

VALE a junior miner can rise on the Gold bullrunNYSE:VALE as a junior miner could be reaosnably expected to follow spot gold.
The bottom line is quite simple. With fixed costs to mine gold, VALE can easily
expect to increase its margins when stop gold rises will above the breakeven
on a spreadsheet. The 2H chart shows price has descended into the support of
the long term anchored mean anchored VWAP line after a VWAP breakdown.
The PMO and ZL MACD are confirmatory for a consolidation sitting on dynamic
support.
Overall, the analysis is that of VALE setup to make a reversal for a bullish move
reflecting the gold run at large. I will take this trade long now.
HYMC- Gold is Glittering Penny Junior Miner LONGGold is on a bullrun and what better equity to look to capture profits than gold junior miner
penny stocks. The risk is high and the potential profit is well - perhaps on the way to the moon.
Shown here is HYMC on 2 hr chart. The momentum is obvious with the climb of the green HA
candles. The MTF RSI shows the low TF RSI shot up over 80 while the higher TF RSI is rising
at a more gradual slope. No signs of bearish divergence are seen. The MACD shows the lines
well above the positive histogram in fact three times the amplitude. Again, no signs of
bearish divergence. The AI Lorentzian indicator shows a buy signal. Its algo tested a projected
win rate of 73% on the signals which should buttress my confidence in this trade. I will follow
the signals in the context of my targets based on TA and see how they correlate.
Gold is on fire ! Junior miners are perhaps in the midst of a wildfire.
I will take a long trade on this penny stock. My targets are $0.56 and $.71 representing
swing high pivots earlier this year. Overall, I am expectant of 50% profit and a risk free trade
once the price rises 10% and a 5% stop loss is moved to break-even.
VALE - a senior gold miner LONGVALE is a long-established gold miner with global assets and is well positioned to leverage
rises in spot gold and futures in its overall operations. On the 1H chart, I have added two
sets of VWAP lines and their standard deviations anchored at the beginning of both May and
June. They have similar line trends. Price is crossing over those mean VWAPs a classical
sign of predominating bullish momentum The Lorentzian machine learning indicator issued
a buy signal two trading days ago. This indicator uses RSI, CCI, moving averages and directional
indices to produce high-quality algos and trading signals. It has no psychology and issues alerts
on purely mathematical criteria. The MTF RSI indicator shows the lower TF line crossed over
both the higher TF line in black and the 50 level one day ago. The 3 in 1 indicator is green
for all three including money flow and bullish momentum and confirmatory on RSI. Overall,
given the rise in gold on the forex and futures market, I see VALE moving higher and the
TA supports that view. I will take a long trade of stock and consider a call option if I
can find one with enough volume to trade and a reasonable spread.
INCO Descending Broadening WedgeINCO . Daily TF. Descending broadening wedge pattern. Already breakout the pattern. TP1 7125, TP2 8250, TP3 10550. But take note, there is a gap at 6450-6525. It might go down to that level to fill the gap after hit TP1, before it take off to chase TP2 and TP3. SL 5725.
VALE: Uber Bullish setup for 2022, 40+Vale has a very bullish 1-2, 1-2 set up right now. This stock should reach at least the $40 level by Q4 2022 or Q1 2023 because that is where the 1.382 - 1.618 fibonacci extensions project to, which are the standard targets for a W-3. This count matches up well with the broader economic themes for 2022 of inflation, a weakening dollar, and increased investment in emerging markets. I have a large position in Vale.

THE FORECAST FOR WEEK 1 MARCH 2022 IS = BULL
COMBINED FORECAST FOR MARCH 2022 = BULL (unanimously Bull)
DAYS
WEEK 4 OF FEB FORECAST WAS = NOT ASSESSMENT COMPLETED
PROBABILITY OF DAYS FOR WEEK 1 MARCH = BULL
This week the retracement was completed. Opening Mon-Wed the candles were small and insignificant, running the retracement through its process. Thursday the retracement end corrected with a Bull candle and significantly increased volume. Friday followed another Bull candle. Open was at 50% of the previous day, no tail the candle remained Bull all day, and finished with little to no tail on top. A strong finish for this setup the following week.
OBV is in alignment.
WEEK
WEEK 4 OF FEB FORECAST WAS = NO ASSESSMENT COMPLETED
PROBABILITY FOR WEEK 1 MARCH = BULL
This week was Bull with a tail to the bottom. The candle body was similar to the previous 2 weeks. Volume has picked up from last week. This candle, along with two weeks ago, sends a strong signal to Bears, the Bulls hold the power of play. The next resistance points begin around $19 and up to $21. It is probable this stock will rally up to around this point with little objection.
MONTH
FORECAST IN JAN FOR FEB = NO ASSESSMENT COMPLETED
FORECAST IN FEB FOR MARCH = BULL
The third Bull candle three months in a row, a strong Bull influence. Each month increases in candle body size. Volume is above average. The OBV interestingly is not in alignment, it is sideways with a slightly downward motion. Another note is the rallies are steep, steep rallies tend to create steep retracements = volatility. Also note, this stock does tend to tolerate longer steep rallies. The probability of a Bull March is higher than a Bear
$VALE Trader Vic says Go LongBased on Trader's Vic book "Methods of a Wall Street Master" (highly recommend) , VALE has now started an uptrend.
