VFF
CGC $12-$13 BottomBeen calling $12.5 for a couple weeks now, and a few things making this setup perfect.
1. It's reaching this level in extreme oversold conditions
2. Overall market on fire at ATH rn.
3. Santi Claus is coming?
Looking for a really nice monthly bounce. Below are my targets, and whether or not I take profit at 1 or 2 depends on how we get there.
Target 1 = .382 Fib of the drop from ATH ~ $23
Target 2 = .5 Fib of the drop from ATH ~ $27
Target 3 = .618 Fib of the drop from ATH (Main Target) ~$33
Risk:
Will be scaling into OTM APR options to maximize my R/R, and taking on 100% risk, as I am confident we WILL get a bounce at some point soon because of how extended we are. Wheter it's $13, $12.5, or even $10 it doesn't really matter, I'll just have to lower my targets.
GL to all my MJ bulls. Better days ahead.

Canopy Growth Price Action - Is the Bottom in for Potstocks? We are now near the bottom of the previous wave 4 of one lesser degree, and IMO it's about time for shorts that have rode this down to take their profits and flip long.
I've updated my count and I now have A as a leading diagonal, and I have this whole correction as a standard ZigZag. Whatever we have here is in 3 waves, and this count seems to work, especially the fib relationships when I did a deep dive.
Wave C looks pretty straight forward with 5 waves in a channel. The extended wave 3 hit the 1.618 x A target right on the nose; It'd be hard to argue that that 5 wave move is not an impulse. Question is, where are we in the final 5th wave? I can't get a great count on this one, and see two possibilities:
1. Wave 5 is some sort of diagonal, and has completed. What I like about this is the wave A and C equality of the the large red ZigZag. What I don't like is the ending diagonal is messy.
2. We are still in wave 3 of 5. My target for this case is $14.5. Here's why:
a. It's the target for wave 1 and 5 equality. (Last blue wave 5 would be equalt to wave 1)
b. $14.5 is a level of interest as it was the top in November 2016.
c. It could satisfy the wave C target using the channeling guidelines (pink channel)
d. I also noticed that price is reacting to the slope of a channel using the top of blue (A) of the larger red B wave. Check out the fib channel and how price has reacted to it. Even the overshoot hit the .236. Not sure why, but seems as though algos are reacting to
something here. Take a look at where this channel intersects with the pink channel. You guessed it, the golden ratio .618.
My plan is to wait for it to play out, and will be watching my indicators closely at the $14.5 area. If instead we break out of the C wave channel (specifically the TL joining the top of waves 2 and 4), I will also go long. This change in price behavior would let me know that wave C has completed.
GL All!

VFF - Bullish Flag breakoutAnother Marijuanaaa stock that is looking good right now. TSX:VFF just broke the bullish flag, let's see where this goes. Q2 conference call on tuesday, next week is going to be the big turning point for that breakout.
VFF Bull Continuation Possible Soon VFF has pulled back in two legs sideways to down after a strong bull rally. The bulls have a 60% chance of a second bull leg up before there is a strong bear reversal. Last week broke below the 14 first leg down. This is where the bears need to be the strongest. This is also where strong bulls (and bears) will start looking to buy for trend continuation. However there is not yet a strong buy setup. If this week closes on its high, it could signal the end of the correction and soon enter a bull channel phase for a second leg up.
There are many bull gaps below, and the rally contained strong buying pressure. Furthermore, the sell off has not been all that strong. Last week was one of the strongest bear bars, and created a gap around 14. Since there are no previous open bear gaps, this one will likely be filled as well, and may act as an exhaustion gap. The bears need to keep the gap open and create strong follow through selling to increase their probability to 50% for a test of the bull breakout.
To learn more about how to determine the directional probability and how to structure a trade based on this with a positive traders equation, please see below.
If you found this helpful please like! Feel free to comment or ask questions.
VFF weekly analysisThe high 2 micro double bottom bull flag has triggered from last week. The bears were unable to fill the $10 bull gap. Bulls likely to get second leg up from strong bull rally. They want a measured move up based on the spike or a leg 1 = leg 2 measured move. Prices will likely soon enter a bull channel. The bears need to generate strong selling pressure before they are likely to reverse the bull trend.
Lessons From an Experienced Trader #2Lesson 4 Know what you want in the market
Contrary to what most believe, successful traders do not actually trade constantly. Attempting to trade constantly leads to increased commission costs, random trading, and compound mistakes. In fact, successful traders spend most of their time doing absolutely nothing! How long does it take to enter an order? A click of the button. A few seconds. Maybe a few minutes at most to create bracket orders.
So what do Professional Traders do the rest of the time? They wait. They wait until the market offers what they want or are looking for. Then after entering they wait some more to see if they are right. They wait for the market to provide them with the information to either hold, or exit.
They allow themselves to Be, the trade to Be, the market to Be and do what it is going to do. They do not force actions or attempt to make the market do what they want. They wait until the action comes about on its own, until it is natural, a reflex.
If you do not know what it is in the market that you are looking for, you will fold under pressure and confusion. A Professional Trader knows exactly what he wants (not just to make money), he knows what he is looking for in the market, and is willingness to wait for it to arrive. By doing so, he is rewarded and paid by the market for his patience and willing to do nothing. Even if this means not trading for hours, days, or even weeks depending on the time frame.
It is far better to do nothing and avoid unnecessary losses, than to try and create tensions, forced actions, and lose money. You have to ask yourself "What is more important? The actual act of trading, or making money?"
Lesson 5 Define your edge
An edge is what you have defined as being what you want from the market in the previous lesson. This can be anything from a specific setup, to just plain context like a strong market. If you do not know what your edge is, you will struggle to perform consistently due to randomness.
Many new traders, especially those who follow price action, believe they should be able to trade the market no matter what the context is. If you think you are just going to walk in to the market, trade based on whatever the market is doing and make money; you are fooling yourself. Doing so will lead you to trade randomly, entering willy nilly at the market, and make many mistakes which will cost you your profitability.
Do you walk into Walmart or Aldi's without knowing what you want to buy until you get there? No, you have a list of items, or at least an idea of what you need before you go. Do you start a business because you woke up this morning and thought it would be nice to own a car wash? Hopefully not. You first identify an opportunity, and then create a business model after a lot of research. Then finally you open the business.
Of course everyone thinks or says "well so and so does this and that, and he seems to be making money." Sure, maybe he is, maybe not. If he is, he has defined his edge and is simply employing it. What someone else does has absolutely nothing to do with what you should be doing.
Once you have defined your edge, you must wait for it to arrive. If the market is not offering what you want or what your edge calls for, you do nothing until it is. If your edge is a trend trading method and the market is in a trading range, you do not trade until the market is trending.
If you have not clearly defined your edge, you should not trade. If you do not know what it is in the market you want and are looking for, you have no business in the market. Simple as that. If you chose to do so, you are putting yourself at unnecessary risk and trading randomly. Yes this sounds harsh, but it is the reality of the market. The market will not give you anything, especially if you don't even know what it is that you want!
VFF short IdeaVFF has been battered after its rapid rise to the 20's it was a very euphoric journey but now its in a downtrend maintaining under the moving average and also printing poor RSI setups for bullish divergence.
I plan to short this company with 100 shares at the current price $14.72 my max loss is $15.82 which will be the exit for my position if I am wrong about the direction.
However if it continues as it has recently in the past 2 months. I will exit once I've reached $220 as my exit point. 2:1 ratio.
My holding time will be 45 days. If CGC continues lower than VFF may also continue on its bearish trend.
This is a journal entry and not trading advice.
LABS - Breakout of pennant, macd crossover upThe only green stock in weed sector, although its extraction company. MACD crossover up and I think it can run for another day or two. VFF beat earnings, so the whole mj sector could be green 1 or 2 days. May 14th has more earnings from mj companies.
VFF continues to fallExpecting a further drop in pricing. Gann forecasting strengthens my opinion. What are your thoughts?

TLRY Bear Break -10% Profits already!Dear Cannabis Sector friends!
In our previous TLRY idea we had asked ourselves: Can TLRY repeat what EOS from crypto space did already? (See the link below)
The answer is: Yes . And this is the beauty of Technical Analysis: No matter where you go, which market you wanna play, human psychology never changes.
A beautiful descending triangle gets broken bearish, which was the most likely scenario -with 10% profits already.
We have now reached the previous lows at 70 psychological and could definitely see some bounce going from here, since Hourly RSI is completely oversold. Also, always check correlation to sector leaders like CGC, CRON, etc.
But should we keep going lower: You should be very comfortable with your trigger under 75,25 at the latest.
Also key takeaway from here: We had broken the ascending bearish trendline earlier, and only after the price level break, we saw the flush incoming. While trendlines work good in the stock market esp. on bigger names, in crypto/cannabis space & with lower volume names, you always wanna see the Price Action & S/R level breaks.
If you had some value from my analysis, give it a thumbs-up & comment it, because the mechanism shows my analysis to other people then. Make also sure to follow me so you get notified on my Crypto Analyses! I wish you a good trading! :)

The Cannabis Sector is coming!Hello my dear Cannabis sector fans, but also to my usual Crypto friends: Pay attention now!
The legalization of Cannabis is coming from left an right, and obviously, what had started in Canada, will not just stay there. The US is the next huge market, and after that comes Europe.
Some of the Canadian Cannabis companies have seen huge run-ups already, but this isn't the end. We are currently far from normal legalized consuming.
So: Once my course comes out, I intend to do much more analyses to the Marijuana sector! Stay tuned :)
Give it a thumbs up so other traders will see this important information! :) Comment it if you have another info or just want to tell your opinion! Make also sure to follow me so you get notified on my Crypto & Cannabis Analyses! I wish you a good trading! :)

VFF Healthy consolidation. No matter how fundamentally strong VFF Is and how solid their execution is , the overall volatility and psychology of the cannabis markets will effect share price.
Personally I believe VFF to be very well positioned, in a strong position financially and their operational plans are on track for 2018 and 2019.
Short term VFF is in for a tough battle up, overall bulls seem to be exhausted and the bears have been exerting some serious selling pressure both on VFF as an individual stock and the Canadian cannabis market as a whole.
From a technical analysis standpoint VFF has immense potential to retrace back to previous highs and maintain them, this would require the bulls to pick up steam.
I'm looking for industry wide catalysts and also VFF specific catalysts to move this stock. My time frame for the retracement back to $8.50+ is 2 months
