WHEAT at Key Resistance Zone - Sellers Ready to Step In?PEPPERSTONE:WHEAT is approaching a key resistance zone, an area that has previously triggered strong selling pressure, making it a key level to watch.
If rejection occurs—such as wicks, bearish engulfing patterns, or a shift in momentum—sellers could regain control, driving the price lower toward the 559.0 target. This aligns with a short-term pullback scenario within the broader market structure. However, a sustained breakout above this resistance would invalidate the bearish outlook, potentially opening the door for further upside.
This is not financial advice but rather how I approach support/resistance zones. Remember, always wait for confirmation, like a rejection candle or volume spike before jumping in.

Wheat- In a Clean Resistance Zone, can it reach 542.00?Wheat is already within a critical resistance zone that has times before led to bearish reversals. In any case this area, marked by previous price rejections, could once again attract selling pressure.
If bearish confirmation occurs—through rejection wicks, bearish engulfing candles, or a decrease in buying volume—we could see a decline toward the 542,00 level. However, a breakout above this resistance would invalidate the bearish outlook and suggest potential for further upward movement. So keep an eye on that.
Wait for clear signs of rejection before considering short positions.
Wheat - Too FastNature is beautiful.
It's always balancing the underlying energy.
That's what we see here.
Wheat spurted down too fast.
The down-swing can be put in context by the Medianlines.
Here, price has reached it's balance again at the CL.
What's next? I bet for sideways to short action, until we crack the orange CIB line.

Wheat (World) - Short Bias; Cheap Ukrainian wheat everywhere!Sure, it is winter in the northern hemisphere so why even bother with the grains at all? ...
... Because cheap Ukrainian wheat had absolutely flooded European markets, so much so that very soon they will have to start dumping some of it into the ocean! (Right now, they are trying to air out these mountains of grain, so it wouldn't mold, but that will go only so far.)
Normally, this time of the year, 55-60 ships per week get loaded with Ukrainian wheat, headed for Africa and Asia.
As of last week, these numbers are down to 19 ships .
Russia closed the Bosporus to Ukrainian wheat (and oil seed) shipments.
As an alternative solution, Ukraine is shipping most of its harvest to the EU - mostly Poland & Germany - to load it on ships in those ports. - But guess what ...
... shipping it all to Europe AND THEN load it onto ships makes the whole proposition economically non-viable. (Well below producer cost.)
So now, the endless trainloads of grains, continuously pouring into the EU, gets dumped all over EU markets (at 40%-60% discounts!) because long empty local silos are all filled to capacity. There is now zero (0) storage capacity left anywhere in Europe! (... and the endless trainloads just keep on coming.)
... making this trade - not a monster - rather a no-brainer. (Like free beer)

Wheat - 2 long / 2 Short scenarios - Good bread takes timeGeneral
Wheat seems to generate a nasty SFP. It took out the recent Swing High and then dropped over 22%. With the monthly close coming soon i could image it going lower before finding support.
I marked 4 Scenarios which i would be happy to take either.
1. Long (Blue arrow)
Price moves to the red rectangle (area 1), finds support and "generates a swing". Price goes lower before breaking above the generated swing where i would then look on a LTF for an entry.
Target: A bit under the range high
SL: Depending on the LTF entry i wouldnt want to see it going lower than support
Invalidation: Price breaking under area 1
Time duration: Days, weeks, months, years... ;)
2. Long (Orange arrow)
Price moves under area 1 but manages to retake it. Enter on retest of area 1.
Target: A bit under the range high
SL: A bit under area 1
Time duration: Days, weeks, months, years... ;)
1. Short (Red arrow)
Price moves under area 1 aswell level 2. Enter on retest of level 2.
Target: The next big support level (Also in confluence with the 50% of the lower range.
SL: A bit above level 2
Time duration: Days, weeks, months, years... ;)
2. Short (Yellow arrow)
Price breaks under area 1. Enter in LTF on retest.
Target: The next big support level (Also in confluence with the 50% of the lower range.
SL: A bit above area 1
Time duration: Days, weeks, months, years... ;)
Good luck

WHEAT - SHORT; Continued SELLing for the foreseeable future"Margin pressures; How to survive in an over-provisioned environment." - Was the topic/title of a recent grain cash traders' conference. What does that tell you?...
In short, industry insiders do not expect to see daylight (i.e. profits) as far out as 2025! - And that concludes the essence of all that was said during that get-together.
(Try that on for "inflationary pressures" .)
Wheat market is now at the weakest stage. Time to short. We are long the PUT options since 535 - we wanted to limit our risk. Now it is safe to short the futures, as the market is very weak technically and fundamentally. Sell on a CLOSE below 492.25, stop loss on a CLOSE above 507. 435 is the price target.
I have been travelling around the wheat region in Russia last week - observing the crops, talking to farmers. Planted area this year is very large and most of the crops survived and are looking healthy. Weather conditions are excellent. Prices as low as 416 and 381 could be reached if we see our preliminary target reached before August 31.
*Please remember that futures trading involves a substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.
