CADJPY: Next stop the monthly falling trendline? There's not much in the way of this move from what I can see.
Yen continues to be the weakest currency in the G10 (for now, BoJ look set to intervene at some point this year) and for the short term I expect this to continue to meet the descending long-term trendline that's formed.
I'll be looking for sells around 115 with any LTF confirmation, but until then I'm going to be doing some long scalps not that local resistance has been broken and retested.

CHFJPY Looking For An ExitFrom around the beginning of January, EASYMARKETS:CHFJPY continues to move sideways, while trading roughly between 169.30 and 171.50 levels. While the pair remains inside that range, the rate could continue moving sideways. That said, given that the prevailing trend is to the upside, there is a greater chance the breakout could occur through the upper side of that range.
If EASYMARKETS:CHFJPY makes a move through the upper side of the range, this will confirm a forthcoming higher high, potentially attracting more buyers into the action. Given that the pair would enter uncharted territory, there are no historic resistance barriers available, hence why we will target hurdles such as 173.00 and 175.00.
Alternatively, a drop below the lower side of the aforementioned range, at 169.30, could spook the remaining bulls from the field for a while. That's when EASYMARKETS:CHFJPY could travel to the 166.78 zone, marked by the current lowest point of this year. If that zone surrenders and breaks, this move will establish a new low for the year, possibly creating an opportunity to send the rate to the 165.65 level. That level marks the low of December 21st.

EURJPY: Running out of steam? We're back returning to the ATH, which is around the centreline of the rising channel we've been in since the pandemic.
I'm definitely expecting a reversal soon, we may post another ATH by a whisker, or it may double top before a move back down to the lower boundary.
Any strong JPY fundamentals will break the boundary and signal the reversal imo. Surely the Yen cannot be allowed to remain so weak??
Backing Yen will be on my agenda in the coming months.
NZDJPY Broke New HighsNow that the buying demand has increased to be beyond what it was "last year", we can now lookout for Black Friday Sale, and if the price offered by Sellers suit our targetted discount %, we can look to get hold of some NZDJPY to sell to the Big Boys for a premium sum who like to get their hands on some sweet sweet NZDJPY.
How I would approach this is by either entering on the Hourly or the 15 Minutes, when Sellers give us a discount, we can see if that discount is worth taking or not. If it is a yes, we could buy and then sell at a higher price to those who have not gotten filled.
Hourly Time Frame thoughts are in the link.

USD/JPY looks set to perk up heading into the weekendThe 1-hout chart shows that prices broken above Wednesdays high before retracing back into a support cluster, which includes the 10-day EMA and daily pivot point. Momentum looks like it wants to turn higher from here, although traders should always be on guard for the 'false move' around the UK/European opens before the 'real move' gets underway. Given the bullish trend structure on this timeframe, the bias is for a move back to the week's high with room for a run for 150.80.

A stronger yuan could spell trouble for USD/JPYA downtrend has formed on USD/CNH since it failed to retest the 2022 high in September. Since then, a lower high, aggressive selloff and a bearish continuation pattern (rising wedge) has formed on the daily chart. The rising wedge projects a downside target towards the cycle lows ~7.1.
If the yuan continues to depreciated (lower USD/CNH), it could prompt other Asian currencies such as the Japanese yen to also depreciate, in order to remain competitive with trade. And as USD/JPY is approaching 152 - a level it failed to test due to BOJ intervention (and subsequent concerns of another intervention) - there's a reasonable chance that USD/JPY may struggle to break above 152.
For now, USD/CNH looks ripe for a move lower given the double top / rising wedge around the 50% retracement level, and bearish momentum picking up. Bears could have a stop above the cycle highs and target the lows around 7.1. But if the Fed begin to drop dovish clues further out, it could also break below 7.1 and head for 7.0.

USDJPY H4 (19th Feb)Could the USDJPY correct further to the downside, with DXY weakness dragging it lower?
Despite potential downside on the USDJPY, i'd still prefer to look for buying opportunities while the BOJ's monetary policy continues to diverge from the FOMC. (who knows how long this will last)
Look for a potential bounce on the USDJPY a the 149.60 (interim support and 23.6% fib retracement) or 148.70 (key support level and 38.2% fib retracement area)
