Special Dividend upcomingFollowing the IPO of Porsche in October, Volkswagen will propose a special dividend to its shareholders at the Extraordinary AGM on 16th of December. The special dividend is in the amount of 19.06 EUR per share (ordinary or preference). In my opinion this special dividend, in combination with Volkswagen's current valuation, is an excellent way to get some short term yield on this stock. Given the current share price (just under 140 EUR), the special dividend will provide share holders an instant yield of around 13.5% (gross). Of course, the share will drop as a result of the dividend at the ex-dividend date. With the current share price it's expected to drop to a level around 120 EUR, which is near recent lows. At 120 EUR Volkswagen is trading just over a P/E ratio of 4. Hence, downside risks seem to be limited, even with a macro-economic downturn ahead. I'll be adding to my current long position in the next couple of days to pick up the special dividend.

German chemicals giant BASF said it would downsize permanently in Europe, kindling concerns that persistently high energy prices could lead to a deindustrialization of the continent. The company will slash costs in Europe by 500 million euros, or $501 million, annually up to 2024, focusing on cost savings in non-production units in its operating, service and R&D divisions as well as in its corporate headquarters. The company said that in the first nine months this year, gas costs at its European sites were about €2.2 billion higher than a year earlier. Trading Idea - #NagarroMy trading idea for Nagarro - BUY/LONG Target: 129.00 EUR (Profit +15%) Nagarro with earnings surprise. Earnings expectations for the third quarter were significantly better than expected. Strong results and outlook for the new year point to strong business momentum. From a chart perspective, it looks very attractive to be on the buy side. The share price successfully bounced off the historical support line on 30.09.2022. With the 2nd attempt, it also broke through the nearest ram resistance line on 18.10.2022. 2 weeks later, the resistance line was tested again and it continued upwards. The next resistance level is expected to be targeted. This is at 129.60 EUR.
