European metal and mining stocks at 6-month lows amid tariff fears

** Shares in European metals and mining stocks are down on Monday as investors retreat after U.S. President Donald Trump touted sweeping tariffs on Sunday

** The pan-European basic resources index (.SXPP) was down 2.6% at 0833 GMT, to its lowest in six months

** Copper prices in London hovered near a two-week low

** Trump said that reciprocal tariffs he is set to announce this week will include all nations, not just a smaller group of 10 to 15 countries with the biggest trade imbalances

** Metal miners Antofagasta ANTO, Rio Tinto RIO, Anglo American PLC AAL, Glencore GLEN fall between 2.8% and 3.2%, while chemicals company Syensqo SYENS is down 3.9%
