Jackrabbit

Updated
Jackrabbit is a strategic blend of moving averages, multiple RSI, multiple stochastics, Bollinger Bands, and Williams %R.

Triangles at the bottom, pointing up, are buy signals. Triangles at the top, pointing down, are sell signals.

The numbers 1 through 5 represent the number of indicators that align for each signal. For example, a 3 under a triangle pointing up means that three of the five indicators are yielding a buy signal.

User configuration allows for risk mitigation to be turned off or on. Also, the user can select the source for evaluation, default is the closing price.

Access to the study is by subscription only. See signature for information on subscribing to Jackrabbit.

Release Notes
Upgraded the risk mitigation algorithm.

Risk mitigation is now defined by multiple layers, Off, Light, Medium, Heavy, Aggressive.

Default is Heavy. Previous version was comparable to Medium.
Release Notes
This update make the Condition Zero analysis optional and user selectable. Its most significant impact will be with stocks and ETFs.

The Condition Zero analysis defaults to Yes.
Release Notes
This update removes unneeded debugging information and streamlines Jackrabbit.

Red/Green candlestick analysis has been added. Default is on. This setting improves performance on trading platforms the use limit orders.
Release Notes
Visual distortions removed from red/green analysis showing markers against the candle stick price action.

Visual markers removed when price action is against Condition Zero.
Release Notes
This update focuses on making Jackrabbit more defensive And aggressive. Individual indicators can now be tuned on the level of analysis desire.

Heavier analysis provides safer choices, but less of them. The converse is also true, as lighter analysis provides more trade opportunities, but weaker by nature.

Jackrabbit defaults to the heaviest, most defensive setting. Picking lighter analysis is riskier and can lead to loss. Each coin must be analyzed appropriate to you own risk assessment.
Release Notes
Bug fix in stochastics analysis
Release Notes
Streamlined code and removed proof of concept code.
Release Notes
Red/Green color analysis. Chart will now show candlesticks as RG analysis sees them.

Retracement defense has been added to try to prevent false alerts. While there is no guarantee that retracements won't happen, this should help mitigate the likelihood of them.

Dagger Watch. "Daggers" are sharp drops in price action. This algorithm seeks to prevent a cascading buying effect associated with these types of candlesticks. Condition Zero must be on for Dagger Watch to work.
Release Notes
Dagger Watch has been extended to include Spear Watch. Spears are price jumps above a specified level.

Dagger and Spear percentages are now definable to 0.01% resolution.
Release Notes
This update fundamentally extends the Red/Green analysis significantly. It also introduces yellow candles. Candlestick analysis is also introduced.

Red candles are now defines as the current closing being less than the previous closing AND closing being less than the opening price.

Green candles are now defined as current closing greater than previous closing AND closing greater than opening prices.

Any other combination is regarded as a yellow candle.

When candlestick analysis is on, buying/selling are not allowed in yellow zones, buying is not allowed in green zones and selling is not allowed in red zones.
Release Notes
visual bug in Retracement Defense fixed
Release Notes
Added volume weighted analysis. This drastically improves defensiveness, but reduces signals for saturation. It is user configurable and defaults to on as appropriate to my default defensive position on the market.

Impact is dramatic and very visual. Be sure to carefully analyze your charts BEFORE you update your alerts. Turning volume weighted analysis OFF reverts Jackrabbit to previous operations.
Release Notes
Thanks to feedback and charts from subscribers, condition zero analysis has been obsoleted.

Dagger/Spear watch are now active all the time.
Release Notes
Added a Deadman's switch and sideways analysis

The deadman's switch operates in two mode, a safer "stop buying" mode and a panic state that can be used to send and alert to panic-sell all positions. OFF by default.

The sideways analysis looks for sideways actions and stops buying of and assets under such conditions. ON by default
Release Notes
Added Knife Catcher and Trend Analysis.

Reorganized settings menu to be more intuitive. Indicators are listed first, followed by filters.

Knife Catcher does not work with Deadman's Switch and Red/Green Analysis.
Release Notes
Fixed bug in trend analysis
Release Notes
Separated trend and knife catcher filters to their own indicators.

Jackrabbit now supports "Mindsets". A mindset is a specificly tailored indicator.

There are currently three differernt mindsets.

Technical - default. This is the standard default 5 indicators.

Trend Hunter, Jackrabbit's new trend hunting indicator.

Knife Catcher, Jackrabbit's knife catching indicator.

Source can now be unfiltered, if you want indicator on indicator abilities.

Risk Mitigation and volume weighted are global setting that effect all mindsets.
Release Notes
Added new mindset: Range Hunter.

Range Hunter looks for opportunities in price channels for buying and selling. Price channels are derived by the upper and lower boundries based minimum/maximum prices.
Release Notes
Added the JRling mindset.

May marks the one year anniversary of Jackrabbit. Paying homage to the original algorithm is only appropriate as Jackrabbit continues to grow and develope.

This mindset is a rendition of the original Jackrabbit algorithm. Its high speed scalping with the advanced risk mitigation algorithm overlayed.
Release Notes
Removed unused settings.
Release Notes
Added manual range support for Range Hunter. This allows for better tuning in long positions.
Release Notes
This is a complete and major rewrite of many of the algorithms. Mindsets can now interact with each other and there are several new mindsets in this release. Jackrabbit has also been optimized for speed.

Individual components of the advanced technical analysis can now be disabled.

Current mindsets are:

Risk Mitigation
Advanced Technical Analysis
Trend Hunter
Knife Catcher
Range Hunter
JRling
Price Hunter
Predicator
Momentum
Pivot Hunter

Each mindset can operate independently or combined with other mindsets.
Release Notes
This update deals with internal server errors being given on certain devices.

The repainting warning is still displayed, even after a complete rewrite of the relevant section. So far, no unwanted trades have occurred. Currently, this warning is safe to ignore.
Release Notes
Rebuilt momentum mindset for improved consistency.
Release Notes
Updated momentum (again)...

Improved performance of Range Hunter and fixed auto range detection.
Release Notes
By request: Momentum now has 3 different approaches, directional, long term, and short term.
Release Notes
This update includes differential timeframe analysis.

Some mindsets are local or current charts.

A few mindsets support confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is only supported when it offers genuine value to the mindset.

Also, the default settings have changed to Trend Hunter and Pivot Hunter 4b/4s.
Release Notes
Added PSaR to Momentum mindset
Release Notes
Pivot Hunter is now Gann Pivots

Gann Analysis added
Release Notes
Added Confirmation Crossover and signal inversion. Also added the ability to issue signals based upon two different assets.

Jackrabbit now has the ability to compare two assets, say BTC and XRP, and issue signals on the basis of BOTH assets, in the same timeframe or different ones.
Release Notes
BUG fix: Gann analysis now responds to boundary changes properly.
Release Notes
This will be the last update to this script.

This script is the first of the modulus framework. It allows a signal line to be sent to other scripts within the framework and also receives the signal line. Jackrabbit is now capable of taking the signal line and applying it to its own analysis. This framework allows Jackrabbit to be stacked onto itself for some very advanced layering and strategic analysis not previously possible.

The chart attached to this update is a layered analysis of BTC and ETH against XRP, using risk mitigation with confirmation bias. The final signals produced is when all three coins break support or resistance.

Now begins Jackrabbit modulus.
Release Notes
Seperated Jackrabbit for main chart as default to give a cleaner start up.

Added an indicator on indicator state where the current analysis can be use to filter or add to the signal line.
Release Notes
Reverted buy/sell signals to above/below candlestick (user requested), for prior ease of use.
Release Notes
Jackrabbit now defaults to the main chart, but the signal line is visible. Buy/Sell indicators do show up above and below the candle as they are supposed to.
Release Notes
Added text identifier so layers can be easily labeled.
Release Notes
Maintenance update for memory issues.
Release Notes
Maintenance update for dynamic EMA.
Release Notes
Maintenance update: Predicator removed.
