Double RSI FilterI've seen several youtubers using 2 RSI's on top of one another to filter trades for their strategies. I figured I would just code it up as an all-in-one indicator for people who have the basic package. This way they have an extra slot for another indicator if they need one and also for convenience.
Longs only when RSI 1 is above RSI 2 and shorts only when opposite. The arrows show where crosses of the RSI's occur.
Let me know if there is something else like this where it would just be very convenient to have 2 indicators on one window or other such things and I'll see if I can do something for you guys in my spare time. I'm just an amateur coder, but learning as I do more of these for people.
Thank you!
Hope this helps someone! :)
Filters
Macd Divergence + MTF EMA MACD Divergence + Multi Time Frame EMA
This Strategy uses 3 indicators: the Macd and two emas in different time frames
The configuration of the strategy is:
Macd standar configuration (12, 26, 9) in 1H resolution
10 periods ema, in 1H resolution
5 periods ema, in 15 minutes resolution
We use the two emas to filter for long and short positions.
If 15 minutes ema is above 1H ema, we look for long positions
If 15 minutes ema is below 1H ema, we look for short positions
We can use an aditional filter using a 100 days ema, so when the 15' and 1H emas are above the daily ema we take long positions
Using this filter improves the strategy
We wait for Macd indicator to form a divergence between histogram and price
If we have a bullish divergence, and 15 minutes ema is above 1H ema, we wait for macd line to cross above signal line and we open a long position
If we have a bearish divergence, and 15 minutes ema is below 1H ema, we wait for macd line to cross below signal line and we open a short position
We close both position after a cross in the oposite direction of macd line and signal line
Also we can configure a Take profit parameter and a trailing stop loss
Grid ToolThe core idea of this grid tool is that you have to concentrate less on the trade entries (this happens automatically time-independent but price-dependant) but rather on the validity of the macro trend. Exiting a trend when it is no longer valid is more important than entering a trade. But as long as the trend is valid, the trader participates exponentially in the overall trend.
It is advisable to start with a basic position and then "set up" the grid on this in a ratio of 1/10.
A major advantage of grid trading is that the average entry price in a trend moves further and further away from the current market price while the position continues to grow.
A small timeframe should be used so that the distance between the trades corresponds as closely as possible to the selected grid gap and since TV backtests are carried out with closed bars.
Before starting a grid, pre-analysis the market to make sure it is trending. Select the grid gap and grid position size that you are comfortable with. Monitor the trend and from time to time take some profit :).
PS: The ADX filter looks interesting.
The Strategy - Ichimoku Kinko Hyo and moreThe purpose of this strategy is to make the signals from my scripts available for verification by backtests. Different signal and filter combinations can be created and specific manual parameter optimization can be carried out.
In detail, this strategy includes:
23 entry signals
two entry filters with each 9 filters
two exit filters with each 9 filters
take profit and stop loss
time period for backtesting
