OMA-Filtered, Gann HiLo Activator [Loxx]OMA-Filtered, Gann HiLo Activator is a Gann HiLo activator that uses OMA filtering instead SMA filtering. This GHA calculation also includes a variable for close period to further tune the indicator.
What is Gann HiLo?
The HiLo Activator study is a trend-following indicator introduced by Robert Krausz as part of the Gann Swing trading strategy. In addition to indicating the current trend direction, this can be used as both entry signal and trailing stop.
Here is how the HiLo Activator is calculated:
1. The system calculates the moving averages of the high and low prices over the last several candles. By default, the average is calculated using the last three candles.
2. If the close price falls below the average low or rises above the average high, the system plots the opposite moving average. For example, if the price crosses above the average high, the system will plot the average low. If the price crosses below the average low afterward, the system will stop plotting the average low and will start plotting the average high, and so forth .
The plot of the HiLo Activator thus consists of sections on the top and bottom of the price plot. The sections on the bottom signify bullish trending conditions. Vice versa, those on the top signify the bearish conditions.

CFB Adaptive Gann HiLo Activator Histogram [Loxx]CFB Adaptive Gann HiLo Activator Histogram is a Composite-Fractal-Behavior-adaptive Gann HiLo activator in histogram form that has been smoothed using Jurik Filtering to reduce noise and better identify trending markets. This indicator is the CFB adaptive version of Jurik-Filtered, Gann HiLo Activator .

What is Composite Fractal Behavior ( CFB )?
All around you mechanisms adjust themselves to their environment. From simple thermostats that react to air temperature to computer chips in modern cars that respond to changes in engine temperature, r.p.m.'s, torque, and throttle position. It was only a matter of time before fast desktop computers applied the mathematics of self-adjustment to systems that trade the financial markets.
Unlike basic systems with fixed formulas, an adaptive system adjusts its own equations. For example, start with a basic channel breakout system that uses the highest closing price of the last N bars as a threshold for detecting breakouts on the up side. An adaptive and improved version of this system would adjust N according to market conditions, such as momentum, price volatility or acceleration.
Since many systems are based directly or indirectly on cycles, another useful measure of market condition is the periodic length of a price chart's dominant cycle, (DC), that cycle with the greatest influence on price action.
The utility of this new DC measure was noted by author Murray Ruggiero in the January '96 issue of Futures Magazine. In it. Mr. Ruggiero used it to adaptive adjust the value of N in a channel breakout system. He then simulated trading 15 years of D-Mark futures in order to compare its performance to a similar system that had a fixed optimal value of N. The adaptive version produced 20% more profit!
This DC index utilized the popular MESA algorithm (a formulation by John Ehlers adapted from Burg's maximum entropy algorithm, MEM). Unfortunately, the DC approach is problematic when the market has no real dominant cycle momentum, because the mathematics will produce a value whether or not one actually exists! Therefore, we developed a proprietary indicator that does not presuppose the presence of market cycles. It's called CFB (Composite Fractal Behavior) and it works well whether or not the market is cyclic.
CFB examines price action for a particular fractal pattern, categorizes them by size, and then outputs a composite fractal size index. This index is smooth, timely and accurate
Essentially, CFB reveals the length of the market's trending action time frame. Long trending activity produces a large CFB index and short choppy action produces a small index value. Investors have found many applications for CFB which involve scaling other existing technical indicators adaptively, on a bar-to-bar basis.
What is Jurik Volty used in the Juirk Filter?
One of the lesser known qualities of Juirk smoothing is that the Jurik smoothing process is adaptive. "Jurik Volty" (a sort of market volatility ) is what makes Jurik smoothing adaptive. The Jurik Volty calculation can be used as both a standalone indicator and to smooth other indicators that you wish to make adaptive.
What is the Jurik Moving Average?
Have you noticed how moving averages add some lag (delay) to your signals? ... especially when price gaps up or down in a big move, and you are waiting for your moving average to catch up? Wait no more! JMA eliminates this problem forever and gives you the best of both worlds: low lag and smooth lines.
Ideally, you would like a filtered signal to be both smooth and lag-free. Lag causes delays in your trades, and increasing lag in your indicators typically result in lower profits. In other words, late comers get what's left on the table after the feast has already begun.

HiLo Screener█ OVERVIEW
This is a screener script for the Gann Hilo Indicator . It's an excellent trend analysis indicator to spot trend reversals.
█ DESCRIPTION
The screener works by scanning through up to 10 symbols and list down symbols that are currently breaking the high or low mean averages as definied by the Gann Hilo Indicator. Once you add it, 2 panels will be added to your chart - the green panel will list the symbols reversing into a bullish trend and the red panel will show the symbols reversing into a bearish trend.
█ HOW TO USE
After adding the indicator, open the script settings and type the symbol name and length to be used on the Gann Hilo Indicator for each stock.
█ FEATURES
The screener can scan up to 10 symbols each time.
█ LIMITATIONS
The screener will scan the symbols reversing trend on the current bar, and as such, there maybe some delays depending on the stock/etf/crypto you choose. Some exchanges require an additional subscription to get realtime data.

There are many scripts already published for this indicator, but I've found they didn't match the original one.
So here it is the Gann HiLo Activator as originally developed by Robert Krausz, in a 1998 article in the Stocks & Commodities magazine.
I've also added the option to select the type of Moving Average you would like to use.
Hope you enjoy!

This indicator illustrates the High-to-Low variation. It works nicely on shorter time frames.
The index value is calculated based on the observation length (Memory Length). By changing this input, you can have a wider or shorter observation range.
MA Length is the moving average filter length, which smooths out the signal.
There is an additional smoothing function to make the output even smoother (Smoothing Length). Remember, that "Smoothing Length" is better to be less than "MA Length".
You may activate the trend direction.
Nick Rypock Trailing Reverse (NRTR)This indicator was invented in 2001 by Konstantin Kopyrkin. The name "Nick Rypock" is derived from his surname reading in the opposite direction:
Kopyrkin -> Kopyr Kin -> Kin Kopyr -> Nik Rypok
The idea of the indicator is similar to the Chandelier Exit, but doesn't involve ATR component and uses a percentage instead.
A dynamic price channel is used to calculate the NRTR. The calculations involve only those prices that are included in the current trend and exclude the extremes related to the previous trend. The indicator is always at the same distance (in percent) from the extremes reached by prices (below the maximum peak for the current uptrend, above the minimum bottom for the current downtrend).
Custom HiLo IndicatorThis script implements the HiLo trend follower indicator with some custom options. Among them is the Type option that allows to choose between the moving averages for the highs and lows (HiLo), or highest and lowest values for those moving averages, respectively (HiLo Activator).
Gann High LowGann High Low is a moving average based trend indicator consisting of two different simple moving averages.
The Gann High Low Activator Indicator was described by Robert Krausz in a 1998 issue of Stocks & Commodities Magazine. It is a simple moving average SMA of the previous n period's highs or lows.
The indicator tracks both curves (of the highs and the lows). The close of the bar defines which of the two gets plotted.
This version is showing the channel that needs to be broken if the trend is going to be changed, and it allows you to chose from the 4 basic averages type for calculation (by definition, Gann High Low Activator uses only simple moving average, but some other averages can give you results that are probably more acceptable for trading in some conditions).
Increasing HPeriod and decreasing LPeriod better for short trades, vice versa for long positions.
Modified Gann HiLo ActivatorIntroduction
The gann hilo activator is a trend indicator developed by Robert Krausz published into W. D. Gann Treasure Discovered: Simple Trading Plans for Stocks & Commodities . This indicator crate a trailing stop aiming to show the direction of the trend.
This indicator is fairly easy to compute and dont require lot of skills to understand. First we calculate the simple moving average of both price high and price low, when the close price is higher than the moving average of the price high the indicator return the moving average of the price low, else the indicator return the moving average of the price high if the close price is lower than the moving average of the price low.
My indicator add a different calculation method in order to avoid whipsaw trades as well as adding significance to the moving average length. A Median method has been added to provide more robustness.
The Indicator
The indicator is a simple trailing stop aiming to show the direction of the trend. The indicator use a different source instead of the price high/low for its calculation. The first method is the "SMA" method which like the classic hilo indicator use a simple moving average for the calculation of the indicator.
Sma Method with length = 25
The "Median" use a moving median instead of a simple moving average, this provide more robustness.
Median Method with length = 25
The shape is less curved and the indicator can sometimes avoid whipsaw with high's length periods.
Mult Parameter
The mult parameter is a parameter set to be lower or equal to 1 and greater or equal to 0. High values allow the indicator to be far from the price thus avoiding whipsaw trades, lower ones lower the distance from the price. A mult parameter of 0.1 approximate the original hilo indicator.
In blue the indicator with mult = 0.1 and in radical red the original hilo activator.
Conclusion
The modifications allow more control over the indicator as well as adding more robustness while the original one is destined to fail when market price is more complex.
